Abstract

Handling the graduation of problematic final students at STMIK Pelita Nusantara is very much needed during this pandemic considering the problems that were passed in 2020 and many students did not graduate on time due to many problems such as academic problems, study programs and finances. The number of problematic final student problems is caused by quite a number of cases. Examples are students who do not attend lectures according to the curriculum schedule that should be followed, including non-active students for several semesters, students who fail to exceed the minimum standards set by the study program, students do not pay tuition administration fees and students do not know or are not active to get good information academically. and students do not complete the thesis within the stipulated time. The problem is that many students do not graduate on time due to many problems such as academic problems, study programs and finances. This problem is like a student who does not attend lectures for 1 year but can still continue his lectures which happened in the final semester. From the research conducted, it is expected to produce a decision support system that is able to become a medium of information for students and study programs to disseminate information on academic sanctions for students who commit violations

Abstract

Grouping can use clustering to group data based on the similarity between the data, so that the data with the closest resemblance is in one cluster while the different data is in another group. The X-Means algorithm is the development of K-Means. The weakness of X-Means is that in determining the distance matrix, the distance matrix is an important factor that depends on the X-Means algorithm data set. The resulting distance matrix value will affect the performance of the algorithm. The results of the study are: testing with variations in the number of centroids (K) with values of 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. The author concludes that the number of centroids 3 and 4 has a better iteration value compared to the number of centroids that are getting higher and lower based on the iris dataset with the jarax matrix Manhattan Distance. From the test results with the X-Means cluster point, calculate the Euclidean Distance distance with 100 iris data reaching the 9th iteration, while with 100 iris data by calculating the Manhattan Distance distance it reaches the 10th iteration. Meanwhile, in determining the cluster point using the X-Means method from 100 data iris reaches its 7th iteration.

Abstract

Image processing combine with machine learning is used widely in image recognition, image classification, and image detection. By using camera to detect an object has been done within several article. The other usage of image and object detection is in measurement of distance. Distance measurement is possible by using additional peripheral such as sensor and extra camera. This research is intended to elaborate the usage of single camera in detecting and measuring distance. The distance set between the camera and the object. In this research, author used a square object with different size and different distance range. By using one of the known data as a pivot in calculating other image distance, the average error between 4%-7% . These result was achieved by using different object size. The bigger the size of the object used as reference, the smaller the error percentage of the measurement.

Abstract

The development of information technology today has also changed the lifestyle and way of life of many people. By using information technology, many people can explore the world without being limited by space and time through the internet. Information technology has become a tool that has the power as a driving force that changes business, economics, socio-politics and other fields without limits. One of the things that has experienced major changes in lifestyle and way of life in the field of education is teaching and learning activities. The Politeknik MBP Medan college, which was also affected by Pandami, had to change the teaching-learning method using the Learning Management System service which is the right teaching-learning method to provide learning materials to students, in this case called students. In order to obtain the quality of this service, first, the satisfaction level of service users is measured based on the standard of comparison (gap) between reality and the expectations of users of the service. Based on the results of quality measurements from e-learning at the Politeknik MBP Medan for the academic year 2020/2021 in the even semester using the Webqual method, it was concluded that the Webqual method along with its attributes can provide analytical results to be used in improving the performance quality of e-learning. The results of measuring the quality of the data processing of respondents' answers are obtained that the User Satisfaction Level Score is -0.18, this indicates that the quality of e-learning as a whole is not in line with the expectations of users. The results of the analysis of 22 statement attributes from the Webqual method show that all attributes get the results of the "Tingkatkan" pattern analysis and none of the statement attributes get the "Pertahankan" pattern.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world affects human needs in utilizing technology to be able to solve the problems they face. Likewise, universities that want to improve the quality of academic services during a pandemic sometimes have problems with accuracy and speed in data processing when measuring the level of student satisfaction whose information will be used as support in making decisions to improve services. It is better to develop a computerized system that can replace all activities in the process of implementing the measurement of academic service quality from distributing questionnaires to getting the results of Service Quality (Servqual) and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) analysis using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach. The design of the decision support system used in this design, namely: Use Case Diagrams, Class Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams and Deployment Diagrams. By using a computerized decision support system, the process of measuring the level of student satisfaction with academic services can be carried out quickly, precisely and accurately compared to using word processing and spreadsheet software and provides easy-to-understand information and suggestions for improvement. academic services based on the attributes of the questionnaire accurately using the Service Quality (Servqual) method on Gap 5 and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA).

Abstract

The limitations of LAN gave birth to a VLAN technology that allows the configuration of a virtual computer network (virtualization), VLAN is a network model that is not limited to physical locations such as LANs, this results in a network being configured virtually without having to obey the physical location of the equipment, By utilizing various techniques, especially subnetting techniques and the use of better hardware (including switches), the concept of a Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) emerged which can be maximized compared to a Local Area Network (LAN). In this study, a VLAN network simulation using a Pox controller was carried out so that it could find out the results of the VLAN network evaluation using a Pox controller. The use of VLANs will make network arrangements very flexible where segments can be created depending on the organization or department, regardless of the workstation location, VLANs are also functioned as a method for creating networks that are logically arranged individually, in addition to VLAN techniques. superior to LAN where the average LAN data transmission time is 4 ms longer than VLAN. With this VLAN can create very many LAN segments in an interface. This allows a network to be configured virtually without having to obey the physical location of the equipment.
