<![CDATA[Due to the increased exposure to competition through globalisation and free trade agreements, leading manufacturers are continuously challenged to provide high quality products at similar prices that low cost countries offer. Small and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises (SMMEs) face the same pressures as large companies, but often do not have adequate resources to remain competitive and grow. Therefore, SMMEs need to innovate and find new ways to overcome these challenges. Collaborative Manufacturing Network (CMN) promises flexibility and competitive capability, particularly for SMMEs. This paper analyses the issues, challenges and concerns faced by SMMEs in forming a CMN. Further, it explores the impacts on manufacturing industries due to the emergence of CMNs, particularly on SMMEs, since CMN challenges current business models and existing concepts.]]>

<![CDATA[Targets which wish reached in this research are: determining attribute as basis for effort of repair of product of drinking water tidiness; knowing consumer opinion about quality of AISO drinking water of tidiness; knowing effort conducted by company of related to quality of product of drinking water tidiness. Research done by using method of Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Reached Results are: there are 7 attribute lionized by consumer and applicable to measure the quality of product of drinking water tidiness, that is: design tidiness, water clearness, the sense, easy to get the product, price, resilience and tidiness strength, and also resilience and strength of water. <![CDATA[In the traditional education system, interaction between teachers and learners occurs when both parties meet face to face, in which the information and teaching materials are transferred and distributed. A web based teaching systems is an alternative to supplement or even to substitute the teaching and learning elements of the traditional one. The article has an objectives to make a learning model and systems of web bases multimedia. The implementation is in the form of the system prototype of the system designed. The formulation of problem is to make an attractive teaching material and the model analysis of learning system that can be used to support the learning activity. The problem restriction of system designing is carried out based on the learning method, prototype structuring, testing as well as object of only seaweed cultivation. Methodology of problem defining, a study of teachers need, supporting system and system designing for building the application of learning system by using the multimedia. Implementation of information system made is in the form of client system. Server is built by using the system of windows operation for the web server is used IIS (Internet Information Server) web server, whereas database server is used MySQL. Server side scripting is used PHP for supporting the database accessing from the web server. The testing of learning information system prototype of seaweed cultivation by web based multimedia provides a result suitable to the designed.]]>

<![CDATA[Transportation is a business transfer of cargo from point of origin to the point of destination with a conveyance or modes. In practice, transportation rarely use only one mode. The goal is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of transport services. Because it involves more than one mode, then the exchange of information between the modes become very crucial point which is generally a weak implementation of a reliable transport and highly capable. West Seram regency (SBB) today has become "the gate" of Ceram island. In order to spur development of the region, then the function must be set up with good transportation. Therefore, the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) as one of implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the transport sector, should be formed or in the format became the standard, to support the implementation of development activities. Results from this study indicate that the priority of the application of ITS in SBB more focused on economic aspects. From here then prepared road map policy of application of ITS]]>

<![CDATA[In this study discusses how to conduct a company policy on travel about assessment of consumer desire by using the method of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). AHP is a method to obtain the best solution from several alternative solution by utilizing the comparison by pairs (pairwise comparison) as the basis in determining the choice of priorities. With the principle of decomposition then the whole issue will be split into elements of the simpler problems to become more structured. Then performed a comparative study that is the value of the relative importance of the two components at a certain rate elements associated with the level on the level above. The next step to determine the priority through pairwise comparison matrix, which can be determined value of eigen vector. With this method, the director or manager of the travel will be helpful in setting appropriate priorities for assessment or assessment results in accordance with the wishes of consumers.]]>

<![CDATA[The wave reflection in coastal protection structure is important. Wave reflection represented the parameter to measure the ability of a structure to reflect wave. The accurate structure planning is needed to find the reduction of wave reflection coefficient. The aim of this research is to know the relation between wave reflection coefficient (Kr) that happened with strongly on the density of the mangrove. This research present result of attempt physic model of measurement wave reflection on 2 mangrove model with variation mangrove density. Regular waves having various wave periods (T) between 5 sec up to 8 sec, and various wave heights (H) between 0.15 m up to 0.4 m. The attempt result is concluded by the structure mangrove tend to reduce the wave reflection at the examination of short wave period on high of big wave at every attempt.]]>

<![CDATA[o reveal the workers comfort in doing the job activity on the loom, it is necessary to know standard output produced by the workers during a workday, the energy consumption required in work activities that can increase productivity and examine the complaints and sense of fatigue on the weaving machine operators. Results of processing of standard working hours operating time to complete 60 meters of plastic sacks subjectivity takes 69.79 minutes. And heart rate (physiological performance) before work will be conducted comparisons of the energy when the operator works with estimated energy expenditure 2.3 kcal / min from the results of this comparison is the average energy expenditure has been insufficient demand service or standards issued by Lehman. This is caused by conditions that are not too many movements such as ergonomic work and the workload that must be borne by the body especially the legs, hands, arms and shoulders.]]>

Postal service has a lot of customers such as students, businessman, educations area, bank area, etc. Because of that reason, the competitiveness of portal service business is very high. Each of portal service has to increase their service to get their customers. The first research is about service quality and customer satisfaction in the postal service in Sadang Serang, Bandung. From that one the quality of services is grouped as Reliability, Assurance, Tangible, Empathy and Responsiveness. The result of the first study, all of indicators have negative gabs. These research is about service quality improvement to develop postal service in Sadang Serang. For improving the service, this research using Deming Wheel Cycle (Plan - Do - Check - Action). The result there are improvement in physically and non physically aspect.]]>

<![CDATA[Reconfigurable manufacturing system (RMS) is a new manufacturing paradigm to address fast changing market and mass customization. The adoption and implementation of RMS involves major investment that needs considerable attention. Therefore, issues influencing RMS implementation should be generated to address properly the milestones. This paper focuses the study on the implementation of RMS in small and medium manufacturing enterprises (SMMEs). In this paper, the result of study from three sources is discussed. First, SMMEs characteristics which show general performance of SMMEs as well as the SWOT analysis. Second, recommendations from survey studies of the implementation of advanced manufacturing technology (AMT) in SMMEs. Third, general approaches for the justification of AMT. Based on these sources, the issues are grouped into five categorizes, i.e. performance measurement, strategic issues, economic issues, technological issues and operational issues.]]>

<![CDATA[Shell Pearl industry become group of industries which is production using sea resources that can be focus of development. In fact, these industries exist and develop in Ambon but they have not given regional economic contribution optimally. For observing how far these industries can survive, develop and give profit for community and government, the further analysis of feasibility study must be needed. Therefore, one of important aspect of analysis is financial aspect taking case in UD Mutiara Indah. The result of research obtain that in financial aspect of analysis is feasible by calculating NPV = Rp.406.423.640 > 0; Payback Period below 5 years which is 3 years 2 months 6 days; Profit could achieved of 156 unit of selling and losses could reached of less 31,3 %.]]>
