As-Sabiqun Journal is an interdisciplinary publication of original research and articles on Islamic Studies and Educational Sciences. This journal was published by Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini (PIAUD) STIT Palapa Nusantara Lombok - NTB which was published twice in a year (biannualy), March and October with a minimum of 5 articles. The journal aims to provide a forum for scholarly understanding of the field of education and plays an important role in promoting the process that accumulated knowledge, values, and skills. Scientific manuscript dealing with Islamic Studies and Educational Sciences topics are particularly welcome to be submitted. The journal encompasses research articles, original research report, and scientific reviews in education in any fields including: 1. Early Childhood Education Theory; 2. Early Childhood Education Learning Practice; 3. Early Childhood Development includes Religious and Moral, Cognitive, Language, Social-Emotional, Physical-Motoric, and Art Values; 4. PAUD Policy; 5. Parenting; 6. Teacher Education and Training; 7. Learning Strategy. Editorial Team invites academics, lecturers and researchers to contribute according to the scope above. Articles can be submitted online, by registering as a author (Online Submissions). Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Peer Review Processes. This journal is an open access journal which means that all freely available content is used. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or cite to the full text of the article, or use it for other legitimate purposes, without asking permission from the publisher or author.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe: 1) the effectiveness of the PBL (Problem based Learning) and CTL (contekstual teaching and learning) in terms of students’ problem solving ability and motivation to learn mathematics; 2) the effectiveness of the PBL in comparison with the CTL type of cooperative learning in terms of students’ problem solving ability and motivation to learn mathematics. To find out the effectiveness of the PBL and CTL in each variable, the data were analyzed using one-sample t-test at a significance level of 5%. To compare the effectiveness of the PBL and CTL, the data were analyzed using multivariate T2 Hotelling with the significance level of 5% and followed up with the univariate analysis using a with criterion bon feroni. The results of the study show that: 1) the PBL and the CTL are effective in terms of students’ problem solving ability and motivation to learn mathematics.

Abstract

Multicultural-based education is a tiered educational process that is able to become a binder and a bridge that accommodates differences in social, ethnic, gender and religious status in multicultural societies in order to create intelligent, wise and polite personalities in dealing with diversity problems. The multicultural education paradigm is very useful for building social harmony among the diversity of ethnicity, race, religion, culture and needs among us. Considering the complexity of plurality and multiculturalism in Indonesia in terms of socio-cultural and geographical conditions that are so diverse and broad, special strategies are needed to solve these problems through various fields; social, economic, cultural and educational. In this regard, multicultural-based education has actually been integrated in the 2013 curriculum. This is reflected in being integrated in the education curriculum and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) increased activity, and (2) student entrepreneurship learning outcomes through the implementation of the cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) in class XI Multimedia students of SMK Negeri 1 Sakra. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles with the stages of each cycle including planning, action, observation and evaluation, and reflection. Learning activity data collected by the method of observation and learning outcome data collected through the test method. Data collected was analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that, (1) the implementation of the TAI type of cooperative learning model can increase the learning activities of students as indicated by the average score of learning activities in the first cycle of 33.5 with the category of active enough and then increased to 39.25 with the active category in the cycle II. (2) Implementation of the TAI type of cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes as indicated by an average score of learning outcomes in the first cycle of 77.12 with sufficient categories subsequently increased to 89.35 with very good categories in the second cycle.

Abstract

Cooperative learning methods of learning are not just working together, but rather on structuring. So that cooperative learning is defined as structured group learning. The purpose of writing: (a) obtaining the influence of Jigsaw type cooperative models on Mathematics learning outcomes. (b) To find out the mastery of Mathematics after the implementation of Jigsaw cooperative learning. Classroom action research (action research) is carried out in three cycles. Each cycle consists of stages namely: design, observation, reflection, and revision. The focus of this writing is students of Class XI SMK 1 East Sakra Lombok. Data obtained in the form of formative test results, observation sheets of learning activities. So it was found that the learning ability of students has increased from cycle I to cycle III namely, cycle I (66.67%), cycle II (75.00%), cycle III (87.50%). The Jigsaw type cooperative model has a positive effect on the learning effect of Class XI Students of SMKN 1 Sakra East Lombok.

Abstract

In this postmodern era, an era of technological sophistication is the culmination, Islamic education always has its own appeal to continue to be studied more deeply and comprehensively. It is interesting to know, that Islamic education in particular is the brainchild of Islamic scientists, both Western and Eastern. One of them is Ibn Thufail, an Andalusian (Spanish) thinker and philosopher of Islam. His full name is Abu Bakr Muhammad Ibn ‘Abd al-Malik Ibn Muhammad Ibn Muhammad Ibn Thufail al-Qaisyi al-Andalusi. The concept of Ibn Thufail's education is related to the problem of sources and methods of acquiring knowledge. Related to Ibn Thufail's source of knowledge divides into two, namely human sources (physics) and divine sources (metaphysics). Whereas the method of acquiring knowledge that was conceived was a method based on ratio, senses and intuition or soul.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an study is a study that is needed in this millennial era, because various types of streams that appear endless are caused by a lack of understanding of the Qur'an itself. The emergence of these schools on the basis of the interpretation of the Qur'an textually without considering the current conditions. In addition, the interpretation of the Qur'an is carried out without sufficient scientific basis. This study of the Qur'an aims to provide understanding to all who need to interpret the Qur'an. With these discussions, it can help to prevent textual interpretations of the Qur'an from happening again, but it can open up insights in interpreting the Qur'an contextually. Because the times are so in need of a foundation in acting and behaving.

Abstract

Polygamy is one area that is still warm to be discussed. Sensitivity is very flexible when faced with psychological and emotional factors of women. In this part, there was a polemic and many rejected it. And not a few women also agree to polygamy. There is also in the realm of economics, power and order of disharmony become part of the reasons for men to carry it out heavily. Because this part demands justice. It is at this point that the focus of study and academic anxiety is viewed from the aspect of hermeneutic science. The term hermeneutics is often used as a method of interpretation in the Qur'an because hermeneutics is the reading of texts from the historical side and the relativity of life. Even more hermeneutics is interpreted as an understanding of the contextual to look for the meaning behind the text of the verse. Related to the interpretation of the verse polygamy, among some classical commentators say that, the context of polygamy in the Qur'an is still permissible, because the interpretation uses the understanding of the text in the sense that it is in accordance with what is mentioned in the Qur'an without considering the implications will happen in life. However, there are contemporary scholars who offer to be tested and reviewed their sociological value so that social disintegration does not occur. This is an interesting issue in Fazlurrahman's thought to try to reinterpret themes related to polygamy using the hermeneutic approach. Thus, this paper highlights Fazlur Rahman's hermeneutic approach that has been applied in interpreting verses of polygamy in the Qur'an.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in PPKN learning outcomes through the application of the STAD type of cooperative learning model for class IX.I students of SMP Negeri 1 Keruak in 2019/2020 Academic Year. This Classroom Action Research is carried out by applying the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) Cooperative Learning Model in order to improve the quality of the learning process that helps teachers carry out PPKN learning activities taught by means of maximizing the active role of students especially the knowledge they have and how they are applied in daily life -day. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in 2 cycles, and the results of the actions that have been carried out are proven to be able to improve student achievement both in terms of completeness of student learning, namely in cycle I by 67%, can be increased to 90% in cycle II or in terms of the average value of the evaluation results in the first cycle of 70.7 to 76.5 in the second cycle, this means there is an increase of 23%. From the results of this classroom action research also showed an increase in the level of student learning activities from 2.83 Active Enough categories in the first cycle to 4.01 Active categories, meaning there was an increase of 1.18.

Abstract

This study aims to test and prove from the formulation of the problem. This type of research is experimental research. The study population was all students of class XI IPA. The research technique is a total sampling technique, because the total population is only 20 students. Data collection uses a psychological scale with an assertive ability scale instrument of 72 items. This instrument has been tested for use. The method of data analysis uses percentage descriptive and Wilcoxon test. The results showed that before getting treatment included in the low category with an average percentage of 52% and after getting treatment the average percentage was 72% included in the high category, resulting in an increase of 20%. Wilcoxon test results show the value obtained Z count = 3, 81> Z table = 1.96, the results are significant, that is, there is a significant difference between before and after getting content mastery service with group discussion and role playing methods, so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, thus indicating an increase in assertive ability of students between before and after the content mastery service is given by the method of group discussion and role playing, therefore the proposed hypothesis can be accepted. This means assertive ability can be improved by content mastery services with group discussion and role playing methods

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are influenced by many factors, including student interst and learning motivation. Learning outcomes are a number of experiences gained by students who encompass the cognivite realm is the ability of students to work on the problems given. This article discusses the influence of students interest and motivation on learning outcomes in lesson sd in SDIT GLOBAL CENDIKIA. To improve learning outcomes it is necessary to develop a learning method that can improve student activities and learning outcomes through classroom action research. This research method uses data collection in the from of observation. From the analysis of student learning outcomes obtained in the cognitive domain that value of student evaluation questions given by the teacher when the learning process takes place. The results of this study can be used SDIT GLOBAL CENDIKIA to find out the learning styles of student learning outcomes and can be used for considerration of schools and parents of students to improve attention to students, especially those in grades V AND VI.
