Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini adalah kelanjutan dari artikel sebelumnya dengan judul yang sama. Tesis yang ditawarkan adalah bahwa Filipi 2:6-11 adalah narasi Injil Yesus Kristus dan perlu dipahami di dalam konteks konfrontasi teologis-ideologis terhadap injil Kaisar Agustus yang semarak dipropagandakan otoritas Romawi di banyak wilayah kekuasaan Romawi, termasuk di kota koloni Romawi Filipi, pada masa itu. Di dalam kerangka ini, Yesus Kristus digambarkan sebagai antitesis dari figur Agustus, kaisar terbesar Romawi pada saat itu. Narasi Injil Kristus di dalam Filipi 2:6-11 mengklaim sebagai berikut. Pertama Yesuslah, dan bukan Agustus, yang berstatus Ilahi (ay. 6) yang sesungguhnya karena karya pelayanan-Nya bagi semua umat manusia (ay. 7-8). Kedua, Yesuslah, dan bukan Agustus, yang ditinggikan oleh Allah sebagai Tuhan atas semesta (ay. 9). Ketiga, pada akhirnya Yesuslah, dan bukan Agustus, yang akan disembah sebagai Tuhan oleh seluruh ciptaan (ay. 10-11). Pembacaan yang demikian akan memberikan perspektif baru bagi pemahaman pergumulan jemaat Kristus di Filipi maupun bagi pemahaman atas berbagai nasihat Paulus yang tercantum di dalam surat Filipi. Abstract: This article is the continuation of the previous article “Augustus Versus Christ in Philippians.” It is proposed in this second article that Philippians 2:6-11 is a narratival gospel of Jesus Christ, and it needs to be understood in the context of Paul’s theological and ideological confrontation with the gospel of Caesar Augustus that had been popularly propagated at that time by the imperial authority in many parts of Roman empire, including in the Roman colonial city of Philippi. In this framework, it is argued that Philippians 2:6-11 portrays Jesus Christ as the antithesis of Augustus, the greatest Roman Caesar at that time. This narratival gospel makes claims as follows. First, it is Jesus, and not Caesar Augustus, who is the real divine (v. 6) on account of his benefactional minisrty to all humankind (vv. 7-8). Second, it is Jesus, and not Caesar Augustus, who has been highly exalted by God himself as the lord of the whole universe (v. 9). Third, at the end, it is Jesus, and not Caesar Augustus, who will be worshiped as the Lord by the all creatures (vv. 10-11). This reading will give us a better understanding on the struggle of the Philippians church, and thus on Paul’s paranesis in his letter to this church.

Abstrak: Dalam 25 tahun terakhir ini, Theological Interpretation of Scripture (TIS) berkembang dan menjadi pokok diskusi para sarjana biblika dan teologi sistematika. Sebagai sebuah cara untuk memahami Alkitab, TIS mengapresiasi metode hermeneutika pra-modern. Bertentangan dengan pemahaman modern bahwa hanya ada satu makna dalam teks, para pendukung TIS mempercayai ada banyak level makna dalam teks Alkitab. Penulis akan berargumentasi untuk membuktikan kebenaran argumen akan adanya banyak level makna dalam teks Alkitab dengan menelusuri pemikiran Henri de Lubac. Abstract: In the last 25 years, Theological Interpretation of Scripture (TIS) has developed and become the subject of discussion of scholars of biblical and systematic theology. As a way to understand the Bible, TIS appreciates the pre-modern hermeneutics method. Contrary to the modern understanding that there is only one meaning in the text, TIS supporters believe there are many levels of meaning in the biblical text. The author will argue for the existence of many levels of meaning in the biblical text by tracing Henri de Lubac's thoughts.

Penafsir umumnya menemukan kesulitan dalam mengenali struktur Mazmur 63.[1] Salah satu petunjuk untuk mengenali struktur dan mengerti makna Mazmur 63 adalah pada istilah “tanah kering.” Konteks makna “tanah kering” sejajar dan diperkuat dengan pemberian judul “Mazmur Daud ketika ia ada di padang gurun Yehuda,” di mana “padang gurun” mempunyai konotasi yang dekat dengan “tanah kering.” Kedua istilah merujuk pada situasi yang tidak aman dan genting, atau situasi kegersangan dan penderitaan. Abstract

Era pascakebenaran (post-truth) ditandai dengan pudarnya relevansi kebenaran dan verifikasi fakta digantikan dengan preferensi pribadi dan tarikan emosional. Dalam konteks pemilihan umum Indonesia pada tahun 2014 dan 2019, berbagai hoaks bernuansa SARA yang bermunculan mengancam kohesi sosial di bangsa ini. Dengan demikian, pascakebenaran tidak lagi sekadar menjadi isu di kalangan akademisi, tetapi juga dipertunjukkan secara masif di ruang publik. Bagaimana kaum injili menanggapi problematika pascakebenaran yang kompleks ini? Artikel ini mengusulkan sebuah model teologi yang integratif dalam menghadapi tantangan-tantangan di dunia pascakebenaran, yakni model Ortodoksi-Ortopraksi-Ortopati sebagai cara hidup kaum injili. Di akhir artikel ini, model berteologi ini diimplementasikan untuk menanggapi problematika post-truth yang berkembang dewasa ini di Indonesia. Abstract: The post-truth era is indicated by the eclipsing of the relevance of truth and fact verification replaced by personal preference and emotional appeal. In the context of Indonesia's national elections in 2014 and 2019, multitude of hoaxes emerged with respect to tribal affiliations, religion, race and societal groups and threatened social cohesion in this nation. Correspondingly, post-truth not merely an issue in the academia but also is massively demonstrated in the public sphere. How do the evangelicals respond to the complex problem of post-truth? This article proposes an integrative theological model in facing challenges in a post-truth world, namely the Orthodoxy-Orthopraxis-Ortopathy Model as the evangelicals' way of life. At the end of this article, this theological model implemented to respond post-truth problems that recently emerged in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembacaan Mazmur 5 dengan menggunakan metode penelitian puitis (poetic criticism) menyingkapkan pesan berbeda dengan metode pemberian makna teks oleh para penafsir mazmur ratapan (lament psalm) sebelumnya. Metode penelitian puitis memperhatikan keluhan pemazmur, perasaan pemazmur yang disebabkan keluhannya, pengertiannya dan pengakuannya tentang Allah di dalam keluhannya dan perubahan suasana teks (mood) dalam menguak pesan mazmur ratapan. Penerapan penelitian puitis terhadap Mazmur 5 menghasilkan pesan tentang Allah yang mendengar seruan dan tempat berlindung. Pengenalan pemazmur akan Allah yang mendengar seruan dan tempat berlindung mengubah ratapan (lament) pemazmur menjadi pujian. Abstract: Reading psalm 5 by using poetic criticism reveals differing message with the methods used by lament psalms’ interpreters when reading psalm 5. The method of poetic criticism takes into consideration the lamentation of the psalmist, the feelings resulted from the lament, the psalmist understanding dan knowledge of God in the midst of psalmist lamentation dan the mood of the text in examining lament psalms. Applying poetic criticism to psalm 5 produces a message concerning God who hears and protects. The personal knowledge of the psalmist of God who hears dan protects radically changes the lament into joy. Kata-kata Kunci: Mazmur ratapan, penelitian puitis, keluhan, perasaan, Allah, perubahan suasana teks (mood), takut akan Allah, ibadah.
