Abstract

The research aims to determine whether the people in the slum areas are willing to accept urban land consolidation program and what variables that effect. This study uses case in the RW 014 Kebon Melati, Central Jakarta. Primary data were obtained from 100 respondents, using qualitative descriptive analysis and regression analysis logit model. The results showed that the percentage of people who are willing to accept the program amounted to 64%. The variables that significantly effect the decision to accept the program are age, gender, occupation, region of origin, family size, land area, number of floors, length of stay, age of building, number of rooms, the guarantee of getting Certificate Flats and compensation relocation costs.

Abstract

The increasing number of People With Mental Health Disorder (PWMHD) shows fragile protection to people. Medical Human Resource can hardly handle this condition; therefore we need preventive approach to avoid new PWMHD. This protection should be focus more to those who’s at risk in order to maintain their mental health quality. This study classifies 4 groups risked to mental health disorder: according to age; psychosocial condition; under threat condition, and physical condition. The Indonesia’s People House of Representative needs to make laws based on mental health’s perspective to ensure protection against mental disorder’s risk.

Abstract

High economic growth in Batam has been marginalized local communities. They were living in coastal areal as a fishing community and live in poverty. Government of Batam has a variety of empowerment programs to improve the well-being live of them. But it still unsuccessful because the empowerment program only give them capital, lacking in securing access of community to natural resources. Coastal natural resources are assets for coastal communities. Therefore, there are two main things that must be done to empower coastal communities, which provide security of access to natural resources and provide capital for business.

Abstract

Professional Social Workers (Social Workers) in Indonesia is not widely demonstrated its role yet. Besides not widely recognized as a professional profession who has specific standards, the institutional existence of Social Workers also have not much seen. Social Workers in Indonesia have not received assurance of legal protection in practice. This study uses literature study to examine further clarity on the legal protection of Social Workers professional practice. It is very important to ensure the professionalism, effectiveness, and accountability of social services provided.

Abstract

Education and quality teachers are important in Indonesia, because the quality of special-ed teacher who was instrumental in improving the quality of students. This study aims to illustrate the condition of subjective well-being (SWB) in the special-ed teacher. The study involved 22 special-ed teacher sections B and C Bagaskara Sragen. Research methods using descriptive quantitative approach to data analysis using Crosstab analysis. As a method of support do interviews and observations in the field prior to the study. The results showed that the SWB condition cannot be determined time of work from teachers. Where the Subjective well-being (SWB) in overall teacher is at high categorization. There are a number of environmental factors that can affect the condition of individual SWB, among other things: autonomy, self-control and have an understanding of self, environmental mastery, purpose in life, positive relations (warm) with others and self-acceptance.

Abstract

In the past two decades literature studies on elite has emerged even though still small in number. Elites are people who because of his/her position or role and can influence decisions concerning the lives of many people. Therefore every behavior, decision making and mindset of elite is an interesting subject to be studied in a deeper level. But in reality making elite as research subject provide challenges. Among the many approaches to qualitative methods, interviewing techniques most widely used to assess the elite, therefore this article discusses the challenges that will be faced by researchers when interviewing elites. Starting from the things that must be prepared before the researchers conducted interviews, during the interview, and after the interview. With good preparation then the research process can be optimized.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and analyze the influence of guidance counseling and extracurricular to the character in class IX student of State Islamic Junior High School “X” Jakarta. The population sample was taken as 272 and as many as 135 research students. Instruments used in data collection is questionnaire. The results were analyzed with descriptive statistics with regression and correlation techniques. The study concluded that: (1) Guidance counseling and extra curricular positive effect on the character of the students, (2) the better implementation of the guidance counseling and extra-curricular activities that will better the likely increase learners’ character of MTs N “X”.
