The top investments for all people around the world are improving and mastering speaking skills. The researcher tried to look at the implementation of TED Talks Video based learning on students’ speaking skill. In addition, this research is expected to be given as a reference, source of knowledge, theory for future and motivate readers to use TED Talks video implementation in teaching and learning. In this research, the researcher used a qualitative method with a case study approach. The researcher wanted to explain about how are the implementation of TED Talks video based learning on students’ speaking skill and the students’ responses through the teaching and learning. The result showed that the students are interested because they can learn English with full of fun in speaking skill as well to increase their speaking skill itself, pronunciation, accent and all knowledge about speaking. Besides, they also feel motivated to join the teaching and learning using TED Talks video because there are lots of advantages, such as can learn about the body gesture while speaking and get lots of motivation and information from the TED Talks video. Finally, the students feel enjoy to retell or practice in speaking class.

Study writing become a challenge one, because their need as student strive to be produce a good paragraph but the reality sometimes they make an error in their paragraph. One of the error is fragment. Fragment is incomplete sentence. This research is aimed to identify some fragment in student’s writing paragraph and what is source of the error that occurred in students’ writing. It is descriptive qualitative. The participant data in this research is taken from 25 students. The researcher used class X A in senior high school Wachid Hasyim year 2021/2022 as sample. The result of this study showed the most common fragment found in their subject and complete verb are omitted is the highest , the second position is a dependent clause fragment is the second, the third rank is the verb is omitted and the last position is the subject is omitted with. Moreover the questionnaire showed that the incomplete knowledge of English is the source of student’s errors.

Reading’s ability as a method of learning English is one of the most effective ways to improve vocabulary. According to Samra that Students’ reading ability is also often an important point when learning English. The laziness to read students mostly arises from each individual. So that the level of understanding of students will decrease. Besides the importance of the existence of facilities such as computers, laptops, cellphones, and internet support using reverse class learning. Reverse learning classes give students the opportunity to be able to study material by looking for reading texts on the internet as a provision for prior knowledge class session learning. The teacher must understand every development of the technological age as it is today. This study aims to describe the implementation and the students’ responses toward etymology method in teaching reading. The research design of the study was qualitative which focus on case study research. It involved the Eleventh Grade ofStudents at MA An-Nidomiyah as the subject of the research. The data were obtained through the observation during the teaching and learning process and an interview with the students. In this study, the researcher accomplished several steps to analyze the data, namely organizing and familiarizing, coding and reducing, interpreting and representing. The result of the research finding prove that it iseffective to use this method. So, using etymology method can improve reading skills and knowledge of vocabularyies. Furthermore, it is suggested that etymology methodcan be effectively used in reading class.

This study aims to know the implementation of cognitive summarizing strategies in teaching learning listening class, the researcher was chosen cognitive summarizing as strategy to deliver the material to the students. This study was descriptive qualitative research and conducted on June 17th – 18th, 2020. The participants of this research were the English teacher and the students of XI MIPA 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Arosbaya. The data were obtained by observing the students, the teacher, and the implementation of cognitive summarizing strategies listening class by making a transcript and screenshot of the result. The result of the observation indicates that the implementation of cognitive summarizing strategies in listening class makes the students more enthusiastic about the material and they can deliver what they have been heard from the podcasts or audio using their own words.

The advancement of technology provides education with various solutions to create new learning environments. Edmodo is a learning platform believed to offer a solution in the teaching of English, particularly for teaching writing. This research was aimed to investigate how Edmodo as a learning platform, in a blended learning setting, was implemented in teaching writing in its combination with Genre-based Approach, how Edmodo facilitated students’ engagement, and how students perceived the use of Edmodo in teaching and learning activities. This research employed a quantitative approach with pre-experimental design. The research involved 27 participants. This study aimed at finding the significant difference in students’ writing skill in recount text before and after using Edmodo App. The students showed various responses towards the use of Edmodo based on the uses framework. the score of the upper stage -1.828. The score of t-value is -3.105 and the degree of freedom is 26. The P-value was 0.005< α was 0.05. It means that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Some issues on the use of Edmodo identified in this research were bandwidth, confusion in using Edmodo, incompatibility of smartphone applications, and students’ lack responsibilities for learning.

The aim of this study is to know the implementation of teaching English at MTsN 2 Kota Kediri. The researcher used the descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of the research consisted of two English teachers who teach in 7 and 8 grades of excellent classes at MTsN 2 Kota Kediri. The data collection techniques used triangulation consisting of observation by using the observation sheets and field notes during the observation. The finding shows that there are several strategies that the teachers used at MTsN 2 Kota Kediri in teaching English including listening strategy, speaking strategy, reading strategy, and writing strategy. There are several media that the teachers used at MTsN 2 Kota Kediri, including visual media, audio media, audiovisual media, and multimedia.

The distance learning policy during the COVID-19 pandemic created new problems for students. The implementation of education and learning has undergone drastic changes. Learning is no longer using conventional face-to-face meetings, but is starting to be integrated with online learning. This is what causes the reading learning process, especially reading comprehension, is lacking. This research is designed to solve problems in reading class. The subjects in this study were students of STKIP PGRI Jombang, students majoring in English Education in the fifth semester who were taking critical reading courses. The research design uses classroom action research. The instruments used here were interviews, observations, field notes, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the study show Combaining of Blended Learning and Project Based Learning in Teaching EFL Critical Reading to Students can be an alternative teaching strategy that benefits for improving students' achievement, ability, and participation in the teaching and learning process

Digital Story Telling (DST) media is one type of learning media that combines aspects of image visualization with sound effects. The merging of these two aspects takes advantage of the Audacity program and operates it with Windows Movie Maker. Visualization of images can be made freely by the designer and creator of the media. For educational purposes, images can be in the form of natural phenomena related to the concept of science about the material to be taught to students. The method used in this study uses a quasi-experimental method (quasi). This research was carried out to find out how much influence the use of digital storytelling-based media had on students' writing skills when viewed from their learning style. In this study, the population taken was students in semester 6 and 8 of the English Education Study Program at STKIP PGRI Bangkalan a number of 56 students. Before using the instrument to collect data, the instrument used needs to be tested first to determine the level of Validity Test, Test Reality Test, Normality data, Homogeneity Test (Similarity of Variance), after that a hypothesis test is carried out to answer the problem formulation using the Analysis of Covariance Test (ANCOVA) measurement. It can be seen that the P value is lower than alpha (0.05) meaning that the use of DST is effective for students’ writing skill in recount text.
