Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the political participation of Iskandar Djabir Syah (the 47thSultan of Ternate) in the establishment of the State of Eastern Indonesia. The study focuses on outlining some political events involving Iskandar Djabir Syah such as the Malino and Denpasar conferences and becaming the Minister of Home Affairs of the Eastern Indonesia State for 1949 to 1950 periods.  The method used in this paper is a heuristic method that is history, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results showed that: (1) the participation of Sultan of Ternate Iskandar Djabir Syah in the unitary state started in the early independence of the Republic of Indonesia; it was characterized by conducting Malino and Denpasar conferences in 1946. The establishment of the Eastern Indonesia State became the political inspiration for Iskandar Djabir Syah to involve as the senate member of the Eastern Indonesia State/NIT representing North Maluku, as well as one of its designers. (2) As one of the leaders who agreed to the idea of van Mook to form a federalist country in the Malino and Denpasar conference, so that when the Eastern Indonesia State was formed, he was appointed as the Minister of Home Affairs in the cabinet of J.E. Tatengkeng for 1949 to 1950 periods. (3) Malino to Denpasar Conference in 1946 initiated by H.J. van Mook was the Dutch effort to establish the states in order to realize the United States of Indonesia (Republik Indonesia Serikat/RIS) based on Linggarjati Agreement. At the conference, it was formed the Eastern Indonesia State (Negara Indonesia Timur/NIT) covering the areas of Sulawesi, Small Sunda (Bali and Nusa Tenggara) and the Maluku Islands.Keywords: Sultan of Ternate Iskandar Djabir Syah, Political History, Malino and Denpasar Conferences, the Minister of Home Affairs of Eastern Indonesia State (NIT)

Abstract

Researching aims to know the ability of teachers in drafting device of learning in Junior High School the country Mother Subdistrict of West Halmahera Regency.this is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population in this research, is a teacher-teacher Mother in Subdistrict 5 IPS schools with numbered 8 teachers. Engineering data collection i.e. observation, interview and documentation.The validity of the data in this study using triangular techniques i.e. checking from a variety of sources in different ways. Qualitative data analysis techniques, namely, the reduction of the data, the presentation of the data, and draw conclusions. Based on the results of the it can be concluded that: the ability of a teacher in drawing up a learning device in Sub junior's mother is still having difficulty in integrating various social material into SK/KD/indicators as well as the selection of appropriate learning materials.Keywords: teacher trouble, IPS, Device learning

Abstract

This research is a study of the political participation of new voters in the 2014 legislative elections. The study of indigenous peoples is motivated by the use of local cultural symbols namely "Jou Kasa Ngom Kage" during legislative elections which refers to the obedience, and loyalty of indigenous peoples to the Sultan. The purpose of this research is (1) to find out the attractiveness of the beginner voters to the candidates who fight, (2) to find out the forms of political participation of first-time voters among indigenous peoples and (3) to find out the obstacles that hamper voter political participation beginners in the 2014 legislative elections. This type of research is qualitative research using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that (1) political participation of beginner voters in Kulaba sub-district, Ternate Island in the 2014 legislative elections, still tended to be dominated by the strength and attractiveness of charismatic traditional leaders. (2) the form of political participation of first-time voters in Kulaba Sub-District, Ternate Island as seen from involvement of novice voters in the dissemination of the stages of legislative elections, participation in campaign activities to deliver the vision and mission of political parties as well as the delivery of the vision and mission of candidates for legislative members and their presence in voting rights during elections and"Jou kasa ngom kage" (Ternate Malay) which means Jou'ou or Sultan where the people are there, this is the language of the press (media) which is trying to be manipulated by political actors in the run-up to the elections both legislative elections and Regional head elections with destination forget support from the community in the sultanate's cultural circle not a language that was born together with the birth of the kingdom of the sultan of Ternate. (3) constraints as a barrier to the participation of political voters in determining their voting rights are still influenced by the behavior of some legislative candidates who manipulate custom symbols for their political interests. Other than that there is still a lack of education level for novice voters who do not have a mature attitude in determining their choices as citizens who are free in determining their political choices. Keywords: Political Participation, Beginner Voter, Legislative Election and Kulaba Village

Abstract

Abstract. This research was conducted to describe teachers’ competence,the teachers’ competence is one of the influence factor in education success, teacher’s competence to cover: (1) pedagogic competence, (2) personal competence, (3) professional competence and (4) social competence.This research also studied the concepts of the teachers’ competence, the factors influence in teacher’s competence, the strategy of teachers’ competence, and  good management in teachers’ competence. These researches were used qualitative approach. The data sources were consist of the head master, teacher and parents. The data were collected by observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. The obtained data were verified and analyzed through data verified, data reduction continued to take conclusion.The findings of the research are: (1) the distribution of teacher inthe environment of Provincial Office of Education, Youth and Sport of East Halmahera Regency is not good and, (2) The competences of teachers in the elementary schools must be upgraded to fulfill the standard of competence and (3) The development programs of teacher’ competence in the elementaryschools were also not good. Key Word: teachers’ distribution, the developing teacher’s competence, the systematization of management teacher’s competence

Abstract

The development of learning devices and teaching materials is essentially the development of short-term learning tools to estimate or project what will be done in learning activities. The development of learning tools and teaching materials are translated from syllabus or RPP to direct students' learning activities in an effort to achieve Basic Competency. This research is descriptive qualitative researchers with data collection techniques, namely: (1). Observation Technique; (2). Interview technique; and (3). Documentation techniques. As for the purpose of this study to find out the development of learning devices and teaching materials at MTs Al-Khairat.  Kota Ternate and to find out the factors that influence the development of learning devices and teaching materials. The results of this study indicate that the development of learning devices and teaching materials at MTs Al-Khairat. Kota Ternate are as follows: (1). learning devices and teaching materials at MTs Al-Khairat Kota Ternate in using educational unit level curriculum. But in the study of compost and its substance there are some teachers who have not understood substantially. Without formulation and indicators that have been set in the development of learning devices; and (2) In the development of learning devices and teaching materials at MTs Al-Khairat.  Kota Ternate begins with an analysis of subject matter in accordance with standards and compotency expected in the formulation of the development of learning tools namely (RPP) and syllabus, where teachers are still experiencing difficulties. Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is how the role of the teacher in motivating students' learning in VIII grade SMP Negeri 2 Pulau Makian. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of teachers in fostering learning motivation of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Pulau Makian Regency of South Halmahera in 2015/2016. The research approach used is qualitative. The research location was SMP Negeri 2 Pulau Makian, Malapat Village, West Makian Subdistrict, South Halmahera Regency, which was held from February to April 2017. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Pulau Makian with a technique of collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation. The results of this study are then processed and analyzed qualitatively using the theories or opinions of relevant experts. Based on the results of research on the motivation of independent learning of students in Civics education in SMP Negeri 2 Pulau Makian, it was concluded that motivation for independent learning in PKn subjects was to arouse students to learn, give teachings on achievement which students reach later on and form good learning habits. The forms of motivation for independent learning include determining the atmosphere of fun teaching and learning, providing interesting learning material giving gifts to those who excel, giving punishment, to those who commit violations, and giving praise. Factors that influence the motivation of independent learning, namely the lack of attention from parents (father and mother): Parents tend to let their children take care of themselves, and the influence of friends or peers. Abstract

This study aims to determine the legal traffic awareness of first grade students of SMK Negeri 2 Kota Ternate. To find out the understanding or knowledge of students as an effort the traffic police can improve the discipline of motorized traffic. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Kota Ternate. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, with the number of respondents is15 students, among them the principal, vice principal of student affairs, vice principal of curriculum, PKN teachers and students. Data collection techniques use observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in research using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on the results of the study, there was a decrease in traffic law awareness. The results of the study showed that traffic legal legal awareness of class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Ternate is still very low, this was caused because there were several inhibiting factors, among which it indicated that motorists in particular two wheels the whole has started in traffic discipline, is one of the alternative ways to increase legal awareness of traffic discipline of motorized motorbike traffic, especially two-wheeled riders. But in its implementation there are still obstacles faced by the Satlantas Ternate. Among other things, originating from the quality of students (community driving behavior) road arrangement and inadequate traffic signs. Keywords: Legal awareness, student traffic, and SMK Negeri 2 Kota Ternate

Abstract

This research is motivated by an activity to foster the talents, interests and skills of students in the school, which are called extracurricular activities in cultural arts and dance. This study aims to determine the form of student participation in extracurricular activities in dance culture, as well as factors that inhibit the participation of students in extracurricular activities in dance culture. This study uses a type of descriptive qualitative research aimed at gaining a general understanding of social reality from a participant's perspective. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data is analyzed using Data Reduction, Data Presentation, and Verification of Data and conclusions scientifically. The results of this study indicate the form of student participation in extracurricular activities in dance culture arts. The number of eighth grade students in the MTs Negeri Kota Ternate Ternate is 219 students. Only 50 students participated in extracurricular activities. This shows that the participation of students in extracurricular activities is very minimal. Because students are less interested and less like extracurricular activities in dance culture. Factors that hinder the participation of students in extracurricular activities in dance culture are mostly male students who feel inferior to participate in extracurricular activities in the field of dance culture, this is due to male students assume that extracurricular activities in dance culture are especially for female students. So that students who take extracurricular activities in the art of dance culture are mostly female students compared to male students. Keywords: extracurricular activities, dance culture, learners, participation
