Abstract

The Effectiveness of Project-Based Learning Model on the Ability to Understand Novel. This study aims to identify significant differences between the application of the project-based learning model and those that do not apply the project-based learning model to the ability to understand the novels of Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 19 Palu. This study uses a quantitative approach, the type of research used in this study is an experimental method with true experimental design research design in the form of pretest-posttest control group design. The results of the study note that the learning outcomes of the ability to understand the novel by using a project-based learning model before being given treatment, the average score of 67.24 pretest students after being given treatment, the average score of 74.84 posttest students. The results of learning the ability to understand the novel without using a project-based learning model, the average score of students pretest 63,80 after given direct learning, the average score of students posttest 69,32 and there is a significant difference in learning the ability to understand novels between learning the ability to understand novels using project-based learning models and those not using project-based learning models.

Abstract

Analysis of Learning Media for Children with Special Needs of the Deaf Type. This study studies describing the use of Indonesian language learning media for children with special needs as Deaf, and describing the interaction of the media used in learning Indonesian. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data in this study are the media in learning Indonesian language for Deaf children of class IX SMPLB-B YPPLB Makassar. The results showed that: the use of learning media for children with hearing impaired special needs in learning Indonesian in accordance with the characteristics of deaf children and the material to be discussed is the procedure text. Learning media, such as powerpoint media, whiteboard media, print media (loose sheets) and visual media that are not projected (pictures). While the use of these media is (1) activating students in learning, (2) students are responsive, (3) the media used are in accordance with the characteristics of Deaf children, and (4) achievement of learning goals that have not been maximized.

Abstract

Implications of Conversations for Students Violating School Rules (Interrogation Forensic Linguistics Study). This research describes the phenomena of students' language and the form of conversational implicature using forensic linguistic studies. This research uses the principle of cooperation Grice. The violation of the principle of cooperation as an effort to defend students to cover up mistakes. This is the main attraction in pragmatic research on legal cases. Pressing speech causes uncomfortable speech partners, so they choose to avoid conversations by providing convoluted information. Speeches that utilize the principles of conversation in pragmatic theory produce interrogation language patterns that can be used to obtain information.

Abstract

Problems of Learning Indonesian Based on Text. This study aims to: (1) explore methodological problems in the implementation of Indonesian language learning, (2) explore cultural problems in the implementation of Indonesian language learning, and (3) explore social problems in the implementation of Indonesian language learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection is done by observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study show that teachers have problematic Indonesian language learning with 2013 Curriculum texts in implementing learning, namely: (1) problematic in the delivery of learning material, interaction with students, quality of advice and infrastructure, and preparation of learning tools; (2) problems in responding or perceiving the character of a teacher and student, helping students' self-confidence, and coaching students; and (3) problems in the form of a harmonious relationship with students and between students, building motivation and concentration, helping students to save and measure learning outcomes, to the process of guidance and student habits in learning.

Abstract

Analysis of the Moral Education Values of the Moon Novel Sinking in Your Face: Getting Peirce Semiotics This study aims to describe the value of moral education in the novel Rembulan Drowning in Your Face by Tere Liye using Peirce's theory based on icons, indexes and symbols. This type of research is a type of qualitative research. The data of this study are statements or text quotations containing moral education values based on icons, indexes, and symbols. The data source of this research is the 426-page Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu by Tere Liye, first published by Republika. Research data collection using reading, note taking and verbatim techniques. Data analysis by data reduction, data presentation, inference and verification of research results. The results of this study are there are moral education values in the form of iconic markers: rewarding achievement, friendship; topological icon markers: religious, honest, social care, democratic, friendly / communicative, responsibility, peace-loving, caring for the environment, and hard work. The immoral values found are: not loving peace, gambling, stealing, picking pockets.

Abstract

Critical Discourse Analysis of Djarum Cigarettes 76. This study aims to determine the form of choice of words and the meaning of the references contained in the choice of Indonesian language discourse in the Djarum 76 cigarette ad edition "Om Jin: I Give One Request". The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study indicate that the Djarum 76 advertisement shows a phenomenon that meaning is dead because the Djarum 76 advertisement offers a very open interpretation to anyone who will enjoy it. The conclusion behind the critical discourse echoed, veiled ideology and interests related to capitalism.

Abstract

Analysis of Speech Rejection in Class Discussion. This study was designed to describe agreement, strategy and agreement. Researchers use qualitative research types with descriptive designs. Data collection was carried out using a competent, free listening technique. Data analysis through interpretation. The results showed that the form of explanation consisted of declarative speech, interrogative speech and imperative speech. Furthermore, the payment strategy consists of regrets, hopes, alternative approvals, future or past receipts, attempts to accept, receipts made as demands and avoidance. The questions asked consist of criticizing, refuting, refuting, seeking the truth, refuting and refuting criticism.

Abstract

The Meaning of Signs in Gojek Indonesia Cerdikiawan. This research aims to describe the meaning of the sign in advertising cerdikiawan gojek Indonesia. The data obtained are qualitative data, namely all forms of connecting the verbal or nonverbal statement into icon, index, and symbol contained in ads cerdikiawan gojek Indonesia. Sources of data obtained through the youtube page Gojek Indonesia. The theory used is the theory of sign systems, and semiotic approach belonged to Charles Sanders Peirce. Qualitative descriptive method is used to determine the overall meaning cerdikiawan ads gojek Indonesia. The results obtained show that: (1) the meaning of the sign messages in the Indonesian Cerdikiawan Gojek adverts resulted in Cerdikiawan's contemporary vocabulary represented from present life;dan  (2) the taxation and narration presented in the advertisements became a satire for today's society.

Abstract

The Influence of Suggestopedia Methods in Learning to Write Poetry in Class X High School Students. This study aims to describe the students' writing skills before applying the suggestopedia method and after applying the suggestopedia method. (3) Determine the influence of suggestopedia methods on student poetry writing learning. This type of research is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design using test techniques, namely the initial test (pretest) and final test (posttest). The results showed that (1) the average value obtained by students before applying the suggestopedia method was sufficient. (2) The average value obtained after applying the suggestopedia (posttest) method is categorized high. (3) Suggestopedia method significantly influences the ability to write poetry.
