Abstract

The Vedas have various concepts and theories about the creation of the universe. Vedic concepts are accepted by revelation, while Vedanta theories are created through contemplative research on macrocosms and microcosms. Creation theories in Vedanta, are: Manah theory or the theory of Virat, this theory states that the universe created from the mind of God. The second is the theory of Sabda, this theory states that the universe is created from the Voice of God, this theory is similar to the Big Bang theory. Other theory is the theory of Apah, this theory states that the universe came from water, and there are also many other theories. These theories seem to be compatible with modern scientific theories. This shows that the Vedic teachings have been an inspiration for scientists. The Manah theory, sabda theory, Apah theory, and other theories are embedded by Hiranyagarbha theory. This theory states that the human mind, the mind of the cosmos, and the human mind, historically-theo-cosmologically, have a very close relationship. Hiranyagarbha theory that became the foundation of Hindu Cosmology describes that before the universe was created, there was an element of astaprakriti, the eight subtle elements without size (tan matra). The eight supernatural elements are buddhi (intellect), manas (mind), ahamkara (ego), akhasa (ether), vayu (air), teja (fire), apah (water), and pritivi (land), all within the warehouse. The universe is called Hiranyagarbha. Based on the Hiranyagarbha theory, the creation of the macrocosm begins with the consciousness of God, then moves the mind of God (Manas) connected to the manas that is on Hiranyagarbha. After the macrocosm, humans were created, then the mind of God, the mind of the cosmos, and the human mind have connectivity with each other. Therefore, do not ever think negative about anything.

Abstract

Idealism is a school of philosophy that has existed since the fourth century developed by Plato as  a philosopher from Athens / Greece who lived in the year 427-347 BC. This philosophy of idealism is generally referred to as the philosophy of the 19th century. Plato with his view emphasizes the importance of the superiority of mind (mind), spirit (soul) or spirit (spirit) rather than material things. in the senses is a mere appearance, the real reality is the ideas or forms of origin of the apparition. Ideas are an “eternal Universal” world. Hamdani Ali describes that: Plato concludes that there is an apparent reversed value and that value is much more important because the invisible is something metaphysical and continues to exist, that is ideas.

Abstract

During the Ancient Kingdom in Bali, religious teachings flourished well. Some sects had developed during that time before finally assimilated by MPU Kuturan. Some relics indicate the existence of these sects which can be seen in Pusering Jagat Temple and Kebo Edan Temple in Pejeng Gianyar region. At that time, the sects developed well. However, in the course of time, their leaders began to scramble to divide followers. This raises concerns that initiative to unite among them needs to be done. In order to maintain its continuity, the union is considered necessary, but by still taking the main points of each teaching. This is what causes Hinduism in Bali to look different. When it comes to plurality, Hinduism is the container, because in it the fusion of several teachings which initially contradicted, but which can be adapted slowly. This plurality becomes very important because, in essence humans are different from one another. This difference raises a different perspective. By accommodating all the elements, finally everyone feels accommodated. This is the message of pluralism in the era of Ancient Bali.

Abstract

Humans actually have two bodies when born in this world, namely the material body and spiritual body. The material body is a form of physical-physical form that is crude and serves to carry out all forms of desires from the five senses, the respiratory system, the digestive system, muscles, neural networks, blood circulation and others. Whereas the spiritual body is a psychic body that is subtle and consists of a causal body (buddhi), a supra causal body (subtle ego) and atman.Born as a human being is the ultimate happiness in life because by being born into the world, a person is given the opportunity in his life to achieve the essence of himself by doing and increasing karma, bhakti, jnana to finally achieve contemplation by realizing the nature of self and atman in his body. This is what gives happiness to be born into a human being compared to being a creature in the world

Abstract

There is a similarity to the concept of philosophical thinking between Pythagoras and Hinduism. just call the first that Pythagoras believed in the existence of the Soul and the transfer of souls from the present being to the creatures to come. When someone dies, his soul returns to the world, enters the body of one animal. Hindus themselves know these teachings as Punarbhawa or Samsara which are part of Panca Sraddha. On the other hand, Pythagoras also stated that in order to achieve a pure life, one must eat meat and beans. With his belief, Pythagoras became an advocate of vegetarianism, which only ate vegetables and fruits, which in Hinduism were included in the teachings of ahimsa.

Abstract

Hinduism has a complete construction of religious teachings, namely: Tattwa (theology, religious philosophy), Susila (ethics), dan Acara (ritual). These three frameworks are an inseparable unity. One of the religious texts of Hindu Nusantara which shows the interrelation  of these three Hinduism frameworks is Siwa Dharma manuscript. In the Siwa Dharma text, it is discussed about the elaboration of the theological concept of Siwa Sidhanta which is embodied in actions as outlined in the concept of Tri Kaya Parisudha in this text. It is also discussed about the concept of Panca Yajña as well as the various spiritual goals which are contained in those yajña.As a religious text which belongs to the book of Agama in the codification of Vedas, Siwa Dharma text has a very close relationship with the teachings of Darsana as a form of Hindu religious philosophy. This text is capable of showing the close relationship between the teachings of Darsana with the thinking concept of Hindu Nusantara. This text shows how the philosophical foundation of Darsana is translated into actions and deeds of Hindu Nusantara people. This teaching of Hindu Nusantara theology is very much in line with the ideology and practices of the teaching of Darsana especially Mimasa and Yoga Darsana.
