Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to identify the use of performance-based assessment toward the EFL students’ learning attitude of how it can be implemented for the EFL students and what are the impacts of using performance-based assessment toward the EFL students’ learning attitude. This paper identifies the EFL teachers’ opinions about the implementation and the impact of performance-based assessment for the EFL students. The data analysis of this study is based on the theory about performance-based assessment and students’ learning attitudes. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method which deals with data that are in the form of words and not showed as numeric data by using interview data toward two EFL teachers in different level. This study results show that the English teachers have many ways in implementing performance-based assessment and this implementation brings positive and negative impacts. In clonclusion, each of English teacher has their own way to apply this kind assessment so that it can give the good effect to their students’ learning attitude. Keywords: Alternative Assessment, Performance-Based Assessment, EFL students’ learning Attitudes Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penggunaan penilaian berbasis kinerja terhadap sikap belajar siswa EFL tentang bagaimana penerapannya untuk siswa bahasa Inggris dan apa dampak penggunaan penilaian berbasis kinerja terhadap sikap belajar siswa tersebut. Makalah ini mengidentifikasi pendapat guru bahasa Inggris tentang penerapan dan dampak penilaian berbasis kinerja untuk para siswanya. Analisis data penelitian ini didasarkan pada teori tentang penilaian berbasis kinerja dan sikap belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang berhubungan dengan data yang berupa kata-kata dan tidak ditampilkan sebagai data numerik dengan menggunakan data wawancara kepada dua orang guru bahasa Inggris di jenjang yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru bahasa Inggris memiliki banyak cara dalam menerapkan penilaian berbasis kinerja dan penerapan ini membawa dampak positif dan negatif. Kesimpulannya, setiap guru bahasa Inggris memiliki cara masing-masing dalam menerapkan asesmen semacam ini sehingga dapat memberikan pengaruh yang baik terhadap sikap belajar siswanya. Abstract

Abstract Science at the junior high school level can be learned as a provision of science knowledge, concepts and skills at the next level. The concept of science learning is attempted by students to understand so that maximum learning outcomes are obtained. The results of observations to students of class VIII SMP stated that teachers in studying students still used conventional methods, students liked group learning methods and discussions, students liked science learning if the teacher used pictures and writing media. The purpose of this study was to develop a cooperative student worksheet (LKPD) based on the picture and picture type on the human respiratory system material for grade VIII SMP / MTs based on validity. The use of this research instrument was in the form of a LKPD validation sheet. The assessment sheet is filled with three validators, namely expert lecturers and science teachers. The aspects assessed were didactic, construction, technical, and LKPD characteristics. The results of the validation of two material expert lecturers and junior high school science teachers showed that the picture and picture type cooperative-based LKPD was very valid to use in the human respiratory system material. The average score obtained from the two subject matter expert lecturers and junior high school science teachers is 3.63. So LKPD is suitable for use as teaching material on the human respiratory system material based on the validation results. Keywords: Picture and Picture, Human respiratory system, LKPD, Valid Abstrak: IPA pada jenjang sekolah menengah pertama dapat dibelajarkan sebagai bekal pengetahuan, konsep dan keterampilan IPA pada jenjang selanjutnya. Konsep pembelajaran IPA diusahakan peserta didik paham dan mengerti sehingga diperoleh hasil belajar maksimal. Hasil observasi kepada siswa kelas VIII SMP, menyatakan guru dalam membelajari peserta didik masih menggunakan metode konvensional, peserta didik menyukai metode pembelajaran berkelompok dan diskusi, peserta didik menyukai pembelajaran IPA jika guru menggunakan media gambar dan tulisan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis kooperatif tipe picture and picture pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia kelas VIII SMP/MTs berdasarkan validitas. Penggunaan instrument penelitian ini berupa lembar validasi LKPD. Lembar penilaian diisi tiga validator yaitu dosen ahli dan guru IPA. Aspek yang dinilai yaitu didaktik, konstruksi, teknis, dan karakteristik LKPD. Hasil validasi dari dua dosen ahli materi, dan guru IPA SMP bahwa LKPD berbasis kooperatif tipe picture and picture sangat valid digunakan pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia. Skor rata-rata yang di peroleh dari dua dosen ahli materi, dan guru IPA SMP yaitu 3,63. Jadi LKPD layak di gunakan sebagai bahan ajar pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia berdasarkan hasil validasi. Abstract

Abstract: This research background is the students’ difficulty in understanding the quantity and measurement materials because the teacher explains too much in front of the class and the students just sit and watch on the chair so the learning atmosphere becomes boring and monotonous. Besides, the teacher have not used a scientific approach. This study purpose is developing a..Student..Worksheet.. (LKPD) ..based..on a..scientific approach on qualified quantity and measurement materials based on LKPD validity. The LKPD development was based on the ADDIE development procedures by analyzing, planning, developing and evaluating. LKPD development process included material, students and curriculum analysis. The design was in the reference collection form and the final LKPD development by providing guidance to supervisors to LKPD validation stage. The study results based on LKPD validity was very valid with an average score of 3.6. The average score of 3.34 for didactic aspect was very valid. In the construction aspect, the average scores obtained was 4.00 for the topic, 3.34 for the instructions and 3.00 for learning purposes. The linguistic aspect got a very valid average score of 3.67. The content aspect obtained very valid average scores of 3.67 for content, 3.34 for questions and 3.67 for answer keys. The technical aspect got highly valid category with average scores of 3.34 cover, 4.00 for drawings and 3.00 for the image suitability with colors to motivate students. Based on the validation results, LKPD based..on..scientific..approach on the quantity and measurement materials was qualified. Keywords: Student Worksheet (LKPD), Scientific Approach, Quantity and Measurement, Validity Abstrak: Background penelitian ini berupa kesulitan peserta didik saat pemahaman pembelajaran besaran dan pengukuran karena saat pembelajaran guru banyak menjelaskan di depan kelas sedangkan peserta didik hanya memperhatikan sehingga suasana pembelajaran membosankan, ditambah lagi pembelajaran belum secara menyeluruh menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Tujuan penelitian berupa mengembangkan Lembar Kerja..Peserta..Didik.. (LKPD) berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada materi besaran dan pengukuran yang berkualitas berdasarkan validitas LKPD. Pengembangan LKPD ini berdasarkan prosedur pengembangan ADDIE. Langkah-langkah pengembangan ADDIE yang teraplikasikan hanya analisis, perencangan, pengembangan dan evaluasi. Proses pengembangan LKPD ini meliputi analisis materi, siswa dan kurikulum kemudian perancangan pembuatan LKPD berupa pengumpulan referensi, dan penyusunan LKPD terakhir pengembangan LKPD dengan melakukan bimbingan kepada dosen pembimbing sampai tahap validasi LKPD. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan validitas LKPD diperoleh skor rata-rata 3,6 dengan..kategori..sangat..valid. Pada aspek didaktik diperoleh rata-rata skor 3,34 dengan..kategori..sangat..valid. Abstract

Abstract: The Curiculum 2013 requires students to be active in learning through scientific approaches, but the reality encountered by teachers is still dominant which results in students feeling bored and dislike the material. The general purpose to be achieved from this research is to develop discovery learning-based student worksheets for grade VII students on Photosynthesis material. This research is a development research that uses the ADDIE development but it was only limited to the ADDE (analyze, design, development, evaluation) stage. The research data were obtained through questionnaires and documentation. The LKPD development process produces 3 LKPD drafts according to the ADDIE model stages which are limited to the ADDE stage. The results of the research on the LKPD validity test showed that the LKPD was declared valid with a validity value of 3.47 which was categorized as very valid by the validator. Keywords​: ​​ Development, LKPD, Discovery Learning, Photosynthesis Abstrak: Kurikulum 2013 mengajak peserta didik untuk aktif dalam pembelajaran melalui pendekatan ilmiah, namun kenyataan yang ditemui guru mendominasi pelajaran yang mengakibatkan peserta didik merasa bosan dan dan cenderung tidak menyukai materi yang diajarkan. Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis discovery learning untuk peserta didik kelas VII pada materi Fotosintesis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan tapi hanya terbatas pada tahap ADDE (analyze, design, development, evaluation). Data penelitian didapat melalui metode angket dan dokumentasi. Proses pengembangan LKPD menghasilkan 3 draft LKPD sesuai dengan tahapan model ADDIE yang terbatas pada tahap ADDE. Hasil penelitian pada uji validitas LKPD menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dinyatakan valid dengan nilai validitas sebesar 3,47 yang dikategorikan sangat valid oleh validator. Abstract

Abstract: People are created to be a social human being, and communication becomes a very crucial thing for humans’ lives to continously share their ideas and speaks up their mind to each other. The act of communication that becomes one of the aspects of communication in pragmastylistic field is defined for speech act. This study explores the style performed by Dr Zakir Naik in his stage of speech and his intended communicative effect to his audience. By doing this research, the writer intends to find out 1) what style of speech act is used in Dr. Zakir Naik’s speeches and and 2) how the context influences the choice of speech acts in Dr. Zakir Naik’s speeches. The method used in this study is qualitative research method. The theory used in this study is Searle’s speech acts theory (1979). The researcher observes a video of Zakir Naik’s speech from youtube. This research reveals that the style of speech which Dr Zakir Naik dominantly used while he explains, informs and emphasizes the content of his speech to the audiences is illucotionary acts. There are several kinds of illucotionary acts such as: Assertive, Directive, Commissive, Expressive, and Declarative. However, assertive and directive are chosen as his favorite rethoric in his speeches. Further research is expected to invistigate the critical discourse analysis on Dr. Zakir Naik’s speeches in order to determine the social politic value and to analyse the specific structure of his speech more deeply. Abstrak: Manusia diciptakan untuk menjadi manusia sosial, dan komunikasi menjadi hal yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan manusia untuk senantiasa berbagi ide dan mengutarakan pendapatnya satu sama lain. Tindak komunikasi yang menjadi salah satu aspek komunikasi dalam bidang pragmastilistik diartikan sebagai tindak tutur. Studi ini mengeksplorasi gaya yang dibawakan oleh Dr Zakir Naik dalam tahap pidatonya dan efek komunikatif yang diinginkannya kepada para pendengarnya. Dengan melakukan penelitian ini, penulis bermaksud untuk mengetahui 1) gaya tindak tutur yang digunakan dalam ceramah Dr. Zakir Naik dan 2) bagaimana konteks mempengaruhi pilihan tindak tutur dalam ceramah Dr. Zakir Naik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori tindak tutur Searle (1979). Peneliti mengamati video pidato Zakir Naik dari youtube. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa gaya bicara dominan yang digunakan oleh Dr. Zakir Naik saat menjelaskan, menginformasikan dan menekankan isi pidatonya kepada khalayak adalah tindak ilokusi. Ada beberapa macam tindak ilokusi seperti: Assertive, Directive, Commissive, Expressive, dan Declarative. Namun, assertive dan directive dipilih sebagai rethoric favorit dalam pidatonya. Penelitian lebih lanjut diharapkan dapat menginvestigasi analisis wacana kritis pidato Dr.Zakir Naik untuk mengetahui nilai sosial politik dan menganalisis struktur spesifik pidatonya lebih dalam. Abstract

Abstract: The effectiveness and achievement of learning objectives are determined by the educators. Educators must design lesson plans before learning activities take place. This study aims to develop lesson plans based on cooperative learning model type STAD, quality excretion system material based on the level of validity. This development uses ADDIE (analysis, design, development, application, and evaluation). However, due to constrained conditions during the Covid-19 epidemic, the implementation stage was not carried out. The data collection method used lesson plan validation sheet. The data were obtained through a validity test. The results of the validity test in the form of lesson plans developed are classified as valid with an average value of 4.5 so that they are suitable to be used in learning. Keywords: Lesson Plans, Cooperative Learning, STAD Abstrak: Efektifitas dan tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran ditentukan oleh pendidik. Pendidik harus merancang RPP sebelum kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan RPP berbasis model pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe STAD materi sistem ekskresi yang berkualitas berdasarkan tingkat kevalidan. Pengembangan ini menggunakan ADDIE (analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, penerapan, dan evaluasi). Akan tetapi, dikarenakan terkendalanya kondisi pandemi covid-19, tahap penerapan tidak dilakukan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi RPP. Perolehan data dilakukan uji validitas. Hasil uji validitas berupa RPP yang dikembangkan tergolong valid dengan nilai rata-rata 4,5 sehingga layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: RPP, Pembelajaran Kooperatif, STAD

Abstract

Abstract: Based on questionnaires that have been distributed, it is known that the problem found in class VII SMP is a lack of interest in science subjects because the learning process is still a teacher-centered. Students are more interested in my practice-based learning. Referring to the results of the interview, it shows that one of the materials is with a low average value is Global Warming. In order to make it easier for educators to implement a learning system based on conditions and problems in the classroom, a learning device is needed that is in accordance with the conditions in the class. This study aims to develop a quality Guided Inquiry leson plan, as well as to explain the process of developing Guided Inquiry leson plan based on the ADDIE development procedure, and to describe the feasibility of the lesson plan developed based on the validity of the lesson plan. This research design uses ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, and Evaluate). The results of the validation of the validators obtained an average score of 4.7 and were categorized as very valid. So the lesson plan on global warming material based on guided inquiry learning models to train students' scientific attitudes is feasible to use in learning. Abstrak: Bersumber pada angket yang telah disebar diketahui bahwa masalah yang ditemukan pada kelas VII SMP adalah kurangnya minat pada mata pelajaran IPA dikarenakan proses pembelajaran yang masih bersifat teacher center, peserta didik lebih berminat pada pembelajaran yang berbasis praktiku. Jika mengacu pada hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa salah satu materi yang memiliki nilai rata-rata rendah adalah materi Pemanasan Global. Guna memudahkan pendidik mengimplementasikan sistem pembelajaran berdasarkan kondisi dan permasalahan di kelas maka dibutuhkan suatu perangkat pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kondisi di kelas tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan RPP Inkuiri Terbimbing yang berkualitas, serta untuk menjelaskan proses pengembangan RPP Inkuiri Terbimbing berdasarkan prosedur pengembangan ADDIE, dan mendeskripsikan kelayakan RPP yang dikembangkan berdasarkan validitas RPP. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, dan Evaluate). Hasil validasi dari para validator, diperoleh rata-rata skor 4,7 dan dikatergorikan sangat valid. Jadi RPP pada materi pemanasan Global berbasis model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk melatihkan sikap ilmiah peserta didik layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Abstract

Abstract In recent years, there are more choices to assess students’ abilities andunderstanding in language skill. As assessment plays an important role as themeasurement in checking all steps and the results of language learning, this articledescribes a study that examine the use of alternative assessment for Indonesianundergraduate school students applied by English lectures from two differentuniversities. This study uses surveys and interviews to examine (a) the process ofalternative assessment for undergraduate students, (b) the students’ response usingalternative assessment, (c) students’ result after being assessed by alternativeassessment. So that, the conceptual frameworks taken from this study are: (a)alternative assessment’s process, (b) alternative assessment’s benefits, and (c)responsive pedagogy. This study also explores the impact of alternative assessment inassessing students in the classroom. The results of the survey revealed the majority ofteachers felt that the alternative assessment helped them in assessing the students, aswell as evaluating their beliefs and biases, thereby supporting the idea of incorporatingmore exercises and activities into English classes. The findings show that alternativeassessment is necessary to be applied in teaching and learning since by applying this kindof assessment, the students be able to understand and can practice it in their dailyactivity. Alternative assessment also has positive response from students since it isunderstandable to be practiced.

Abstract

This research is initialized by the teacher-centered science learning process, thelimited use of learning tools in the form of lesson plans, the less varied use of learningmodels and games making students understand easily. The objectives are describing: theprocess of developing TGT cooperative-based RPP on vibration and wave material and thefeasibility of TGT-based cooperative learning plans on material vibrations and waves. Thedevelopment model used was ADDIE model consisting of 5 stages, namely Analysis,Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation but the Implementation stage wasnot implemented. The validity data used RPP validation sheet. This development researchresulted in a TGT-based cooperative learning plan (RPP) product. The results indicatedthat the process of developing a lesson plan refers to the ADDIE development model.Analysis consisted of 3 steps covering needs analysis, curriculum analysis and materialanalysis. Design was carried out by collecting references and compiling a cooperative RPPbased on the TGT type. Development was assessed by experts consisting of 3 validators,namely 2 lecturers of natural science education courses and 1 junior high school teacher.From the results of the assessment obtained validity assessments as well as input andsuggestions from the validator used to produce the final RPP product. The Evaluation stepwas carried out at each stage. The quality of the TGT cooperative learning based learningplan on vibration and wave material developed based on validity was declared feasible touse because the validation results obtained a score of 4.78 with a very valid category.Keywords: Development of lesson plan, Cooperative Learning, TGT (Teams GamesTournament), ADDIE development model.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the problem solving skills of students in grade VIIILIPS BI and the factors that cause or affect students have low, moderate, and high problemsolving abilities. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this studywere 19 students of Grade VIII LIPS BI SMP Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo. Theinstruments in this study are test and interview instruments. The data collection techniques inthis study are test and interview methods. While, the data analysis techniques in this study aredata reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that therewere 6 students with high problem solving skills, 12 students who had moderate problemsolving skills, and there was only one student with low problem solving skills. The polya stagethat is difficult for students to do in the problem solving skills test is the second polya step,which is at the stage of making a problem solving plan. While the contributing factor to theproblem-solving skills of grade VIII students is a lack of appreciation for math lessons,students lack interest in math lessons and students dislike mathematics
