Abstract

Abstract: In March 2020 the Indonesian government imposed online learning from home for all school students as a social restriction effort during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the anxiety experienced by students and their efforts to overcome this anxiety. Ten informants from high school students were included in this study. They were given a questionnaire form containing open-ended questions related to the topic of this research. Data from filling out the questionnaire showed that there was students’ anxiety when learning online from home which included difficulties in understanding the material, difficulties in carrying out assignments, problems with the internet network, technical problems, and a sense of worry about the next task. In overcoming this anxiety, they do things like the following, namely studying independently, every time doing a task immediately, discussing with teachers and friends, encouraging themselves, also carrying out other activities, among others, watching movies, listening to music, eating and exercising. Abstract

The Education Unit Examination (USP) as a continuation of the progress of the National Examination moratorium regulation has strategic functions, including as a determinant of student graduation, being a means of empowering teacher working groups or subject teacher deliberations as a compiler of USP question scripts in all subjects. Analysis of the dimensions of knowledge, cognitive processes and HOTS questions on USP Chemistry questions is very important to determine the proportion of knowledge dimensions, cognitive process dimensions, and HOTS questions in the USP Chemistry questions of SMAN 3 Mojokerto City for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research method includes qualitative descriptive research on document analysis, because the data collected in this study was sourced from one form of official school documents, namely the USP Chemistry question script tested at SMAN 3 Mojokerto City in March - April 2023. Data obtained through analysis of knowledge dimensions, cognitive process dimensions and HOTS questions on each question item asked in the USP Chemistry questions for the 2022/2023 academic year. The validity test of the data used in this study includes: credibility test using triangulation technique, and reliability test with observation reliability method involving 2 senior chemistry teachers. With a deal coefficient of 0.80 in the very good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: (1) the proportion of knowledge dimensions in the USP Chemistry questions of SMAN 3 Mojokerto City for the 2022/2023 academic year is dominated by procedural knowledge (59.5%) and the rest is factual knowledge (26.2%) and conceptual knowledge (14.3%);(2) the proportion of cognitive process dimensions is dominated by cognitive process application by 45.2% and the rest understanding (19.05%), analysis (19.05%), remembering (9.52%) and evaluation (7.14%); and (3) the proportion of HOTS questions reached 26.2%.

Abstract

This research focuses on the conversion behavior of a Chinese Mu'alaf who is known as an important figure among the East Java Chinese ethnic group. He is Haji Bambang Sujanto or known by his Chinese name Haji Liu Min Yuan, Chairman of the Haji Muhammad Cheng Hoo Surabaya Foundation as well as one of the important figures of PITI (Pebina Iman Tauhid Islam) East Java. The important thing that needs to be underlined in this research is to find the meaning behind the act of converting to Islam from Haji Bambang Sujanto (Haji Liu Min Yuan) so that later lessons can be learned as life lessons on how the problem of religious belief is very fundamental in one's life to seek happiness. essential. As a study, this journal reveals individual phenomena and their social meaning after making changes in religious understanding (conversion) which then have implications or continue with more meaningful individual and social actions (behavior).

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to describe (1) the implementation of the Learning Implementation Plan during the learning process, (2) the learning outcomes of the product after the implementation of Think Talk Write, (3) student activities during the implementation of the Think Talk Write, and (4) students' responses to learning by applying the Think Talk Write learning model. This classroom action research was carried out for two cycles in class X MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Puri involving 35 students. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results showed that (1) the learning process by applying the Think Talk Write learning model could be carried out in good categories, namely in the first cycle with a value of 3.03 and the second cycle of 3.27., (2) student activities during the application of the Think Talk Write learning model showed students active with an activeness of 87.15% in the first cycle and 93.48% in the second cycle, (3) character behavior in both cycles showed good behavior with an average score of 3.23 (good) in the first cycle and 3.45 (good) in the second cycle, (4) results student learning after the implementation of the Think Talk Write learning model has increased with the percentage of completeness 77.14% in the first cycle increasing to 91.4% in the second cycle, and (5) student responses to learning by applying the Think Talk Write learning model are positive

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the results of the implementation of the time token learning method based on the implementation of the lesson plans that have been developed, and the activities during student learning and learning outcomes related to debate material. The research being conducted was classroom action research conducted in Class X MM 1 Semester 2 of the 2019/2020 Academic Year at SMK Negeri 1 Pungging involving 32 students. The results of the research that has been carried out explain that the application of the time token learning method is able to provide an increase in student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the percentage value of student learning test results which was only 16.63% in the initial conditions, then in the first cycle it became 75% and increased to 93.37% in the second cycle. The lesson plan implementation section also experienced an average increase, namely the average score from 2.75 in the first cycle to 3.64 in the second cycle and the lesson plan implementation section received a score of 100% in both cycles. In the student activity section it is also shown that learning is student-centered, this can be seen from the increase in the percentage when implementing time token learning and discussions and there is a decrease in inappropriate/inappropriate behavior.

Abstract

The learning demands of the 21st century and the independent learning curriculum are innovative and student-based learning. Scientific learning is one of the real innovative learning, one of which is done through science learning. The aims of this study were: (1) Applying scientific learning to science subjects (2) Providing students with knowledge and skills about real learning. This type of research is descriptive through a qualitative approach. Collecting learning knowledge data through objective tests while for learning skills data through questionnaires. The subjects of this study were students of grade 7 in science subjects. The results of the study showed: (1) 87% of students' responses to scientific learning strongly agreed; (2) learning outcomes through scientific learning increased from the mean pre-test (67.4) and post-test (83.6); and from the results of the skills questionnaire obtained an average value of 85.6.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan sebuah kebutuhan yang utama bagi tiap manusia. Salah satu ilmu pengetahuan yang penting dalam kemajuan proses berfikir serta mampu menyelesaikan masalah didalam  kehidupan sehari-hari adalah matematika. Masih banyak peserta didik dikalangan pesantren yang masih membeda-bedakan antara pelajaran agama dengan pelajaran umum khususnya matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berupa LKPD bermuatan nilai-nilai Islam berbasis masalah pembelajaran materi himpunan. Artikel ini adalah bagian dari penelitian besar pada pengembangan media pembelajaran dengan model ADDIE. Metode penelitian ini adalah Research and Development dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Langkah yang dilakukan hanya tahap 1 sampai 3 yaitu analisis, perancangan dan pengembangan. Hasil validasi dari dosen memperoleh hasil rata-rata 83,3% dengan kriteria sangat valid dan hasil validasi dari guru mendapatkan hasil rata-rata 82,5% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Hasil rata-rata validasi dari kedua validator adalah 82,9% dengan kriteria sangat valid.

Abstract

The memorization method used by the teacher made the students bored in their vocabulary class so they had low vocabulary mastery. Therefore, the researchers conducted a pre- experimental study by implementing mind mapping method to teach vocabulary. The study purpose was to find out whether or not mind mapping method was effective for teaching vocabulary. The research design used was one group pre-test post-test. This study population was 180 students of class VIII at a private Junior high school in Gresik. Meanwhile, this study sample was 30 students of class VIII D taken using a purposive sampling. The instruments used were the vocabulary pre-test and post-test. After the pre-test and post-test data was collected, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Then, the data were calculated their normality and analyzed using a paired sample test. The results showed that: (1) the average score of the pre-test was 56.67, the mean score of the post-test was 72 and the sig. (2-tailed) score of the paired sample test was 0.000. Thus, it can be said that the student’s vocabulary mastery became better after the mind mapping method implementation and mind mapping method was effective for teaching vocabulary.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan aspek penting dalam kehidupan yang berpengaruh pada pengembangan potensi individu, terutama dalam mata pelajaran matematika yang sering menjadi tantangan bagi siswa. Banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep statistika, yang dapat menghambat hasil belajar mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII MTsN 12 Jombang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain posttest control group. Sampel terdiri dari 64 siswa, di mana 32 siswa berada di kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model STAD, dan 32 siswa di kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Data diperoleh melalui post-test dan dianalisis secara Inferensial menggunakan uji t untuk menentukan signifikansi perbedaan hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai post-test kelas control adalah 59,53, sedangkan rata-rata hasil post-test kelas eksperimen 85,47 yang melebihi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) 76, dengan tingkat signifikansi (0,000 < 0,05).

Abstract

The students’ less interest and motivation in learning vocabulary caused their poor vocabulary mastery. Therefore, the researchers were interested in conducting a pre-experimental study to know whether running dictation strategy was effective for teaching vocabulary. The population of this study was all the students of class VIII of MTs. Bahrul Ulum Genukwatu, Jombang. Then, the sample was 30 students of class VIII A. The instruments used to collect the data were pre- test and post-test of vocabulary. The students got the pre-test before the treatment conducted and the post-test after the treatment. After all the data from the pre-test and post-test were collected, the mean scores of the pre-test and post-test were calculated. It was followed by a paired-sample t- test calculation because their mean scores were different. The results showed that the mean score in the pre-test was 57 and the mean score of the post-test was 78. The sig. (2-tailed) score of the paired-sample t-test was 0.000. It means that the implementation of running dictation strategy was effective for teaching vocabulary. Thus, it is hoped that the results of this study can become a reference for the EFL teachers when teaching vocabulary.
