Abstract

Sexually transmitted infections are one of the main health problems of adolescents. Every teenager is at high risk for developing sexually transmitted infections (STIs) for various reasons such as frequency of unprotected sexual intercourse, being more biologically susceptible to infection, involving relationships of limited duration, and possible difficulties accessing the health care system. The impact when a teenager is exposed to STDs is that it can cause acute symptoms, chronic infections such as infertility, ectopic pregnancy, cervical cancer and sudden death in infants and adults. adolescents to increase the knowledge, attitudes and practices of adolescents in behaviour. Analyze the effect of health education on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents in preventing the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. The type of research used is quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test with a control group design. There is an effect of health education on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents in preventing the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. Health education plays a very important role in increasing knowledge and changing attitudes of adolescents in preventing the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases.

Abstract

The use of pesticides to control plant pests can have an adverse impact on the health of farmers and the surrounding environment. Pesticides enter the body through the respiratory tract and unprotected skin. Pesticide poisoning can cause a decrease in cholinesterase enzyme activity in the blood which can cause death. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a relationship between cholinesterase enzyme activity based on age in male farmers in Kadibolo Village, Klaten Regency. This type of research is analytic observational. The sampling method used was simple random sampling technique. This study used a cross sectional study design with a sample of 20 farmers. Samples were taken from farmer’s venous blood and stored in a vacuum tube without yellow anticoagulant then centrifuged to collect serum. Measurement of cholinesterase enzyme activity using Roche Cobas c 501. The variables of this study were age and cholinesterase enzyme activity of male farmers in Kadibolo Village. The results of statistical tests with SPSS using Fisher's exact test obtained p value = 0.447, RP value = 0.333 and 95% CI = 0.025-4.401. There is no relationship between cholinesterase enzyme activity and age in male farmers in Kadibolo Village.

Abstract

Motor vehicle smoke pollution contains lead exposure which if accumulated in the blood exceeds the stipulated level, it can cause health problems, both psychological and physical. This study aims to determine the effect of exposure to lead emitted by motor vehicle fumes on students who take part-time jobs as online motorcycle taxi drivers. The influences studied include IQ levels and communication anxiety. Measurement of IQ using the WAIS test (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale) while Communication Anxiety was measured using the Communication Anxiety Scale. Blood lead levels were checked using the GFAAS tool. The data on blood lead levels, IQ scores and communication anxiety were then tested for normality using the Kolmogorov Smirnov technique and followed by a linearity test with a test of linearity. Then for hypothesis testing, the data were analyzed using simple regression analysis. The result is that there is a relationship between blood lead levels with IQ levels and communication anxiety.

Knowing the factors related to exclusive breastfeeding for postpartum mothers at Public Health Center Kedung I Jepara. Used a quantitative correlational Two Group Pre-Test Post-Tes design with a sample of 36 postpartum mothers who breastfeed their babies. There is a relationship between postpartum mother's knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding (P = 0.018), there is no relationship between postpartum mother's education and exclusive breastfeeding (P = 0.112), there is a relationship between postpartum mother's work and exclusive breastfeeding at Public Health Center Kedung I Jepara (P = 0.02). Abstract

In Nursing, direct care assessment is one of the significant components of nurse performance appraisal and workload identification. The study's purpose is to compare time-motion and the need for direct nursing action between junior and senior nurses in the intensive care unit. This study was conducted for three months in an intensive care unit for 30 nurses. Six investigators observed each nursing direct care action applied by the 34 nurses. Data were collected using the daily log form, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistic was independent t test. 35 types of natural care nursing were observed from 30 nurses listed in a nursing daily log. The longest mean time is personal hygiene, with an average time of 14.33 minutes. The shortest average time is respiratory therapy using a nebulizer with a mean of 1.43 minutes. The minimum nursing hours per patient day is 365 minutes (6.08 hours), and the maximum time is 542 minutes (9.03 hours) per day. Direct care means the score is 495 minutes (7.82 hours per day). This study found no significant differences in spending times between senior and junior nurses with t = 0.038, p = 0.970. This study found that the direct nursing action in the intensive care unit is related to nurse workload; this requires the same time for each type of nursing action.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) has become a non-natural disaster that has an impact on everyone. Maternal mortality and neonatal mortality in Indonesia are still a big challenge and need attention in the COVID-19 disaster situation. Neonatal deaths reported that the most deaths occurred in the first six days of life. The highest cause of neonatal death in 2019 was Low-Birth-Weight (LBW). LBW is usually caused by the mother's condition during pregnancy (adolescent pregnancy, malnutrition, and pregnancy with complications), twins' pregnancy, congenital fetal anomalies, and placenta disorder that inhibit the baby's growth (Intra Uterine Growth Restriction (IUGR)). This study aimed to determine the incidence of LBW during the pandemic at the Public Health Center of Juwiring, Klaten. The method of this study was a descriptive study. The sample in this study was total sampling using secondary data from October 2020 - June 2021 as many as 35 babies, and data analysis using univariate analysis. The results showed that the babies in category of LBW were 30 (85.7%), Very-Low-Birth-Weight (VLBW) was 3 (8.6%), and Extremely-Low-Birth-Weight (ELBW) was 2 (5.7%). The findings of this study from the maternal age group under 35 years old are 32 (91.4%), the multipara parity was 21 (60%), and the gestational age under 37 weeks was 22 (62.9%).
