Abstract

The changing and reforming education system relies on the acquisition of competence by teachers. Light Vehicle Engineering Expertise Programme (TKR) is a study program developed and demanded as the development of science and technology and the needs of society. This study aimed to answer the needs of professional competence to be mastered based the vocational curriculum 2013. This study used a qualitative method. This study used Delphi technique. Data was analyzed by using triangulation sources and consensus search. Initial formulation of the professional competence of TKR teachers consists of 5 areas: field of engineering; machine; powertrain; chassis and suspension; and electrical. The results of the first identification composed of 31 core competencies, 52 sub-competencies and 174 essential indicators. The second was to search for consensus and clarification to the respondent against each competency that has been arranged on prior identification. The whole competence has reached a consensus with the approval percentage is more than 50%. After repairing, formulation of the professional competence of vocational teachers overall had 32 core competencies consisting of 56 sub-competencies and 193 essential indicators. The third identification was done to provide taxonomic level of education that must be mastered at any standards of competence and professional competence of teachers. The results of the third identification gave the mandate that vocational teachers need to master the cognitive domain of 9.375% for C2; 25% for C3; 50% for C4; and 15.625% for C5, and the knowledge domain of 9.375% for K1; 53.125% for K2; and 37.5% for K3.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low student learning outcome at Curriculum and Technology of Education in Education of Sciences Faculty, State University of Padang. The purpose of this research was to reveal the relationship of learning motivation with learning outcome of student TM 2013 semester 2 in KTP FIP UNP majors. This research used quantitative methods to the type of correlational research. The sample in this research were 77 students TM 2013 semester 2 in KTP FIP UNP majors, used Slovin formula with proportional random sampling technique. The research instrument was structured in the form of a questionnaire with Likert scale models, after being tested looking for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between learning motivation and learning outcome of students TM 2013 semester 2 majoring in Curriculum and Educational of Technology at 0.492. Based on the findings of this study concluded that the independent variables, namely learning motivation played a very important in improving learning outcome, in addition to other variables.

Abstract

The problem in this study was college students have difficulty to understanding the basic concepts of makeup and face shape correction in Makeup for Basic Make up course. This is indicated by the low student results obtained by students, and if this continues it feared would undermine the quality of education. The difficulty is thought to occur due to non optimal use of learning media by lecturers.Based on these problems is carried out through research efforts to develop learning media using video for Basic Makeup courses, that can help students understand the concepts and be able to practice in accordance with the concept.This research is the development of research. Model and procedure development using 4-D model (four - D model) consists of stages define, design, develop and disseminate. In the define phase analysis of curriculum and student analysis. In the design phase carried out using a video learning media in Basic Makeup course. At this stage of develop validated expertise and limited testing on students, to find out the practicalities and effectiveness of video media are developed. Phase disseminate not done. Researchers conducted a test of the media to see if the media produced valid, practical, and effective. The results of the data analysis showed that media video for Basic Make up, based learning using three criteria: (1) the terms of didactic 90.62% with very valid category, (2) construct terms 88.28% with very valid category, (3) technical requirements 95% with very valid category, the average percentage of 91.30% with very valid category. This suggests that the validity of the video media is in the category of very valid. Meanwhile, the average percentage of the practicalities of media by rating lecturers are 92.49%, based on test applicability media by students in small groups were 81.66% and based on the test applicability media by all students is 94.59%. Based on the test results of the practicalities of this media has been in the category of very practical. Based on test media effectiveness, student activity increased by 86,10% While the percentage success rate of student results that 88,88% of students have achieved the minimum 75. This means learning to use video media has been valid, practical and effective. It can be concluded that the use of learning media video in Basic Makeup course can be used as a medium of learning in Educational Studies Program Makeup and Beauty Faculty of Engineering, State University of Padang.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relation (1) perception of the world of work with the learning outcomes CNC programming, (2) Interest in learning with learning outcomes of CNC programming Mechanical Engineering FT UNP in 2011, (3) perceptions about the world of work and interest in learning together with the learning outcomes of CNC programming Mechanical Engineering FT UNP in 2011. This study used a correlational. The sample in this research were 124 students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering FT UNP, used Slovin formula with proportional random sampling technique. The results showed (1) the value of correlation coefficient between the perception of the world of work with learning outcomes of CNC programming was of 0.438 with a medium correlation criteria, (2) the value of the correlation coefficient between interest in learning with learning outcomes of CNC programming was of 0.492 with medium correlation criteria, (3) value of the correlation coefficient between the perception of the world of work and interest in learning together with the results of student learning CNC programming FT UNP Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2011 at 0.557 with a medium correlation criteria.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to know the effect of the implementation of an inquiry learning strategy in increasing students’ learning motivation and achivement. The research is classified into a classroom action research. The research was conducted in the teaching of Program Evaluation subject at Educational Technology Study Program. The subject of the research was the seventh semester students. The research was conducted in three circles. Each circle consisted of four steps: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data were collected through observation, questionnaire, and test. The data were analyzed descriptively and statistically. The findings of the research showed that the use of inquiry learning strategy increased students’ learning motivation in the teaching of Evaluation Program subject. The increase of students’ motivation was observed individually and classically. With high learning motivation, in the long run, it is predicted that students’ learning achievement would also increase.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the instructional implementation as viewed from context, input, process, and product at SMK Negeri 4 Solok Selatan. The evaluation used the combination of quantitative and qualitative approach, the mixed model of quantitative and qualitative by sequential explanatory. The data were collected by using questionnaire, interviewing, observation, and documentation. The finding’s of the research were the context of learning implementation was categorized good classification, the input in learning implementation was categorized good classification, the process in learning implementation was categorized good classification, and the product in learning implementation was categorized good classification.

Abstract

This research is aim to identify and also evaluate document about planning and budgeting of educational in regancy South of Solok and also formulate policy, program, activity of relevant educational so that can finish problems of education in regancy South of Solok. Data is used in this research is primary data and data of sekunder. Method analysis that is: method analyze classification of problem of educational, Analyze SWOT, and Analysis Planning and Budgeting of Education in the regancy South of Solok. Result of planning document analysis (educational RPJPD, education RPJMD, RKPD, Renstra and Renja of duty Education) and analysis budgeting document (KUA and APBD) in middle and elementary educational in regancy South of Solok, not yet followed compilation order pursuant with Law number 25/ 2004, about Systems Planning of National Development.

Abstract

This research was aimed could reveal about program planning and program implementation at Heavy Equipment Technology subject in Automotive Department, Engineering Faculty, Padang State University, which refer to learning process. This research was evaluation research by using discrepancy model. Result of the research showed that program planning component got enough valuation (73,35%). While for program implementation of process section got good valuation (82,86%) and when refer to EMI LPTK Process Standard also belong good category (82,54%). Thus, the conclusion of this research could be revealed that for program planning of Heavy Equipment Technology learning program still needed to increase the quality. While for most learning process section in program implementation discrepancy was not occur at Heavy Equipment Technology learning in Automotive Department, Engineering Faculty, Padang State University.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menghasilkan produk berupa CD Interaktif pembelajaran Grading dalam bentuk compact disk (CD Interaktif). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yaitu Research and Development (R & D) dengan desain penelitian pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu model four D (4-D models), terdiri dari tahap pendefenisian (define), perencanaan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan penyebaran (disseminate). Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif. Prosedur pengembangan produk mencakup uji validasi, uji praktikalitas dan uji efektifitas. Hasil uji validasi media CD Interaktif yang dinilai oleh validator dengan tiga kriteria yaitu syarat didaktik, syarat konstruksi dan syarat teknis dengan rata-rata 93 % dengan kategori sangat valid. Berdasarkan uji validitas, maka media CD Interaktif Grading ini telah valid dan dapat digunakan. Praktikalitas media CD Interaktif oleh mahasiswa dinilai sangat praktis (94,58 %). Jadi media CD Interaktif mudah digunakan, menarik, jelas dan menimbulkan minat pada pembelajaran Grading. Efektivitas media CD Interaktif dapat dinilai sangat efektif dimana terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa sebanyak 17,69%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Grading dengan menggunakan media CD Interaktif dapat membantu memaksimalkan proses dan hasil belajar sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan.
