Abstract

This paper described the relation ofp ublic work infrastructures after disaster and the increasing ofp eople welfare in Nangro Aceh Darussalam (NAD) Province. This matter was based on the fact that there was not seen in advance, how much disaster influenced the condition ofp eople's economy. This condition was the main targets as receivers of the benefit. The increasing of people welfare was measured from education, income, job, and possession. This research used the combination of two methods, namely the qualitative and the quantitative methods (Mix Method). The qualitative method was used to answer social factor questions affecting the optimization of the public work infrastructures on the disaster area. The quantitative method was for observing and measuring people's economic condition level that changed then compared with disaster happened before. The research used six sample villages in the NAD Province. The observation found that the public work infrastructures were implemented in rehabilitation and reconstruction stage and it affected on the increasing of people's economy. There were some social problems in the process of planning and implementing stage. This condition caused less optimal public work infrastructures. Therefore, the study suggests that it needs some steps to anticipate against social problems, subsequently public work infrastructures could be well implemented and could increase people welfare.

Abstract

The Java Coastal Current (JCC) is valuable information since its supplies water mass to South Indonesian water. The data analysis was done using temperature, salinity and depth informations from CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth). Those informations was calculated based on Neuman and Pierson (1966) with 600 db in reference level, in order to obtain the dynamic topography and geostrophy velocity. The results showed that there was a dynamic depth divergence between shore and the off shore, both was occured in Northwest monsoon and Southeast monsoon. Hence it was acting as a trigger of the geostrophy current toward Southeast with maximum velocity was 18.81 cms -1 and 1.53 sv of transport volume.

Abstract

Biological diversity was an invaluable asset because it had amazing potency. The uniqueness of nature and its climate had put Indonesia as megabiodiversity country. In other side, high exploration of resources and policies have a little concern on ecology and biodiversity preservation had threatened sustainability of species. Regulation of Forestry Minister number 324/2010 stated Tulobolo-Pinogu Resort of Boganinani Wartabone National Park as a limited production forest. According Government Regulation Number 7/1999, ebony (Diospyros spp.) was protected species. The objective of this research was to inventory all of tree species in Tulabolo-Pinogu especially eboni as to attempt of biodiversity conservation. This study used transect lines method with 3 hectare sampling area. This research found 6 species of ebony, 3 has been reported that D. buxifolia, D. minahassae and D. korthalsiana, 3 newly reporte D. cauliflora, D. malabarica and D. pilosanthera. All of ebony were found is very limited and vulnerable.

Abstract

The opportunity principle is opposite of legalistic principle. It is a duty to diverse a criminal case for public interest as called seponering. As accordingly a doctrine, attorney general has been represented by state and public interest. He implement the principle not to take a person to trial (the public prosecutor may decide conditionally or unconditionally to take a prosecution to court or not). Right now, actually problem, opportunity principle must be widely implemented on pre trial process. It is a consideration on a law enforcement impact of social tension and many others. The method is a normative-empiris on a descriptive-qualitative research which analyses qualitativedata. The result is opportunity principle can be widely into pre trial process in Criminal Justice System. It is mostly important because law enforcement to take a drive to be the greatest happiness for the great numbers. It means that not only certainty principle, but also justice for all.

Abstract

This paper intends to study whether Indonesian-China’s bilateral trade pattern has substantially changedafter the full implementation of ASEAN-Cina Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) in 2010. It also identifies the tradesectors which have comparative advantage and comparative disadvantage with China. Utilizing descriptivequantitative analysis, this study comparing the trade patterns pre and post ACFTA. The results showed that thetrade patterns between the two countries are relatively similar between before and after ACFTA. In addition, manyIndonesia’s commodity exports are still based on natural resources. Therefore, it needs trade policies to encouragehigher value-added of the products.

Abstract

Cobalt alloys is one of the implant materials that is used in orthopedic and dentistry, because of its biocompatibility, good mechanical properties, and high corrosion resistance. The mechanical properties and corrosion resistance can be enhanced by thermomechanical treatment and addition of alloying element. Carbon and nitrogen were added to enhance mechanical properties and high corrosion resistance. Effect of carbon variation and nitrogen to the corrosion resistance in Co-Cr-Mo (CCM) alloys were measured by corrosion measurement system (CMS) device in Hank’s Solutions after thermomechanical treatment process. Corrosion rate of Co-Cr-Mo alloys with carbon variation dropped to 5.8 x 10-4 mmpy and 5.2 x 10-4 mmpy with carbon variation and nitrogen. Decreasing corrosion rate indicated that the corrosion resistance of alloys is increased with the addition of carbon and nitrogen.

Abstract

Designing of future approaches for the control of Fasciola gigantica infection in cattle requires an understanding of the host-parasite relationships. This study was therefore undertaken to compare the susceptibility to infection with F. gigantica between Bali and Madura cattle. Seven Bali and seven Madura cattle were infected orally with 15 metacercariae of F. gigantica twice weekly for 32 weeks. Similar observations were made on four Bali and 4 Madura cattle maintained fluke-free as controls. The study shows that there was a trend of a lower fluke burden and faecal egg counts Madura cattle than in Bali cattle. The packed cell volume (PCV) values was significantlyhigher in infected Madura than in Bali cattle (P<0,05). The increased of eosinophil cell response and the antibody isotypes imunoglobulin (Ig)G1 in Madura cattle were significantly higher than in Bali cattle (P<0,05). These varying responses represent differences in host-parasite relationships between Bali and Madura cattle and may be linked to the observed varying levels of resistance to F. gigantica infection between these host.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by silk production in Indonesia is low productivity of mulberry that is currently planted by the farmers. Therefore, it is necessary to develop new hybrid of mulberries that have a higher leaves production. Before the new hybrid of mulberry can be cultivated by farmers, the new hybrid plant should be tested first. Adaptation test is required to view genetic response of the plant with the environment in which mulberry grows. The purpose of this study is conducting adaptation test of mulberry’s five types new hybrid to measure the growth and the productivity of plants. Adaptation test research of mulberry’s five new hybrids has been conducted from 2012 until 2014 in Cipeuteuy Village, Sub District Kabandungan, District of Sukabumi. This research used randomized block design method with six treatments and three replications. The results showed that two types of hybrid mulberry showed high percentage growth on average 99%. The use of hybrid mulberry Morus cathayana x Morus amakusaguwa IV.12 in natural silk production can increase 59,60 % of productivity, while Morus cathayana x Morus amakusaguwa IV.10 can increase 47,83% of productivity. Two types of hybrid mulberry, Morus cathayana x Morus amakusaguwa IV.12 and Morus cathayana x Morus amakusaguwa IV.10 have excellent potential in silkworm feed productivity development.
