Abstract

Generator set is a device that can convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. In Addition, generators are used to back up the electricity supply when the main power source (PLN) goes out one of the supporting factors for students to know the implementation of the output data generated by the generator set, we need a special system that can monitor the generator and can also control it centrally. To monitor and controlthe system, a system called SCADA is needed. This design can monitor the work system on the generator and control the the load to be supplied by the generator. This design uses Arduino hardware as a base and display using Visual Studio 2019.

Abstract

ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcasting) system is a system for detecting the position of an aircraft. The system uses pi aware software which is used as software that displays a virtual map of the location of the aircraft. The purpose of this study was to find results in the form of parameters of the Farthest or best ADS-B reception distance by comparing three types of antennas, namely Microstrip antennas, open dipole antennas, and Folded Dipole antennas at a frequency of 1090 MHz using pi aware applications. The problem found in the current radar system is the detection that is affected by weather conditions so the level of stabilization in the reception sensitivity of each antenna is very dependent on natural conditions. Data collection is carried out by placing the position of the antenna or receiver in the field, which is an open place. The results of the study were obtained with the farthest distance of 132.7884 km, which is found in the Open dipole area. From the series of tests and data collection carried out, it can be seen that the tools are designed in accordance with the planning and research objectives

Abstract

Curug Indonesia Aviation Polytechnic multipurpose building is located in Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. The multipurpose building is a supporting facility of the Curug Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic for cadet activities such as seminars, socialization, to extra-curricular activities. The load that is often used is lighting. The electricity supply for this building is still using PLN. By utilizing sunlight in Indonesia, the author designed solar power plant as an alternative energy to supply electricity for the lighting section of the Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic Curug multipurpose building. Design of solar power plant was tested using the PVsyst application to determine the average daily energy produced by solar panels. The results of these tests are worth 50.18 kWH/day. If the solar power plant produces more energy than the load to be supplied, it will be directly transferred to the loads connected to the substation II whose value will be monitored by KWH EXIM

Abstract

Runway lighting, namely lights that are installed along the runway (runway) both on the edge and in the middle, Runway lights are also installed at the end of the runway. The function of the runway lights is to provide guidance to pilots on landing and taking off airplanes during the day in bad weather, or at night. In increasing power efficiency so that it is not too large at the Minangkabau airport. Then the replacement of Halogen lamps to LED lamps is carried out in terms of several factors that are more towards the positive side than the negative side, such as from the life time of the lamp, the intensity of the light and the more affordable price. Currently, the Minangkabau airport has not changed the halogen type of runway lights to LED because the economic age factor for the runway facilities at the Minangkabau airport has been fulfilled. One of them is because of the cost, changing the runway lights is quite expensive according to the attachment.

Abstract

The history of radar development dates back to the late 1940s, radar has been integrated into air traffic control systems. Since then much progress has been made in both equipment and procedures that today's radar performs far better than it was originally envisioned a few years ago. Radar equipment is now installed in almost all air traffic control units around the world. The radar system is very helpful for air traffic control personnel, namely maintaining the safety, smoothness and orderliness of air traffic. The existence of radar for the first time was the idea of two German scientists, namely Heinrich and Christian Hulsmeyer, in 1922. Experiments were carried out by the two scientists and then they were able to practice in the field. They use it to avoid collisions between ships in the ocean. From there it finally led to the development of radar. The radar system was first used in 1925 by Gregory Briet and Merle A. Tune of America.

Abstract

In order to maintain the performance of communication facilities and landing service facilities to remain operational, communication facilities and landing services such as DVOR must be calibrated periodically. How to find out how good the performance of flight navigation facilities to assist landing is by conducting ground inspections and flight inspections. The Director General of Hubud together with operators and the Airport Authority have coordinated to prevent the spread of COVID-19 including limiting activities for users, air transportation and technician activities in carrying out maintenance by conducting ground inspections. Ground testing or ground inspection can be an alternative extension when calibration is not carried out, but in the implementation of calibration there are several parameters that cannot be carried out at ground inspection and there are several possibilities that occur if calibration is not carried out on time. Then a survey and data processing was carried out using the SPSS application, the performance of the DVOR equipment can be seen from the results of data processing.

Abstract

Three-dimension learning media has been widely used in the field of education by displaying visualizations of an object to increase the cognitive understanding of cadets and increase the imagination of cadets towards an object. Augmented reality became the basis for the development of 3D learning media. Applications in augmented reality are designed with various stages such as creating 3D objects, creating animations, creating markers, coding processes, creating augmented reality applications, and application design results.  Testing this augmented reality application uses black box testing and usability testing methods. Where in black box testing, testing was carried out on the functionality of application features, and usability testing was carried out by filling out questionnaires on 20 respondents, namely Aircraft Maintenance Technology cadets about the learning material for the O360 Lycoming engine piston course. The effectiveness of the application was tested by conducting pre-tests and post-tests on respondents, with the average pre-test score being 53.5 and the average post-test score being 92.5. Thus, it can be concluded that augmented reality technology in the development of 3D learning media can improve cadet learning outcomes and improve cadets' performance and skills
