Abstract

Normatively, Islam not only has a single face that is transhistorical and transcendental, but its message is contextual and universal that transcends time and space. However, there are still very many Muslims who have the attachment is so strong in the past, so that they view tradition of early Islam as the prototype of the ideal face of Islam. For this group, the whole issues of Muslims have been discussed thoroughly by scholars predecessor, so our task now restates, or analogies in their opinions. Given Adonis, in the classic era, there are already established or are static thoughts (ats-Thabit) and creative or changed thoughts (al-mutahawwil). Established thoughts affirmed the only one true meaning to the text, and based on it; it becomes an epistemological authority. The character of dynamic thoughts is also grounded in the text, but through the open interpretation that is capable of responding to reality and change. Adonis recommended to develop creative thoughts; So they are always able to face various problems faced by the Muslims.

Abstract

Books and libraries are the keys to social changes in broadening the human mind. By reading many people will know all the information in all fields. However, reading is not only done in limited time and place. As the development of technology moves so fast, especially in the field of communication, information can be accessed very easily through various kinds of social media. One of the most accessible places to get information is the library. Nowadays, almost every village has a library since the government conducts a village literacy program by establishing a Community Library. The book is a window to the world and reading is its key. People who love to read and have a good learning attitude considered as a society that will be able to adapt and compete in this globalisation era. The advancement of technology enables people to access information quickly and easily from a variety of fields. It requires people to have the ability to explore, acquire, select and manage information in a smart way. Hence community library is an alternative in the effort of enlightening and educating people.

Abstract

This article is a narrative study which investigated student‟s individual motives to be engaged in higher education, and then to know their difficulties in academic demands in higher education programs and how they cope with the difficulties. Besides, this study also scrutinised the gaps in their academic attitudes towards their academic performances during they were engaged in a college stay. Unstructured–interview conducted to two classes which were purposively grouped by research-based that consisted of 20 students in each group in the forms of focused–group discussion and a deep-interview was given to 10 students. The researcher also used observation for particular occurrences. The findings showed that most of the students‟ purposes to be engaged in a college stay were only universal; becoming better individuals, creating pride and happiness for their parents, the pursuit of knowledge for some skills and interests, and improving jobs and financial careers.Moreover, then, their difficulties in college life correspond to financial, social-campus life, educational, and personal constraints. Besides, their gaps in academic performances consisted of an inappropriate way of behaving and respecting their lecturers, procrastination, wasting time, critical thinking disability, exams unpreparedness, lack of self-motivation drives, comprehension disability, academic anxiety, time management, academic tasks negligence, and burden requirements in the student organisation. In conclusion, profoundly and broadly reformulating their missions for studying in higher education, employing their approaches to scholarly communication and using other alternative strategies for the constraints should be their primary concern in achieving a better academic success.

Abstract

The anxiety appeared during the process of reading foreign language texts is called as reading anxiety. However, most of the research focuses on the discussion of listening, speaking, and writing. Little attention has been paid to reading. Therefore, the present study attempts to fill the hidden empty space and explore the role of anxiety in foreign language reading. In this research the writer used the correlation statistical test to describe and measure the degree of relationship between two variables. So, in conducting this research, statistical number to correlate two variable of this research is needed, they are students’ reading anxiety and their reading comprehension. The main goal of the study is to find out whether or not there is a positive correlation between students’ reading anxiety and their reading comprehension of the third grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Pangkalpinang in the academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

This research report is designed to find and invistigate the function of tourist guide and local govenment in improving tourism accelaration in Bangka Belitung Province. After getting information from many resaources, the writer can make conclusion what the problem of the hotel are in increasing tourist to come to Bangka Belitung province for enjoying panorama and beach. The writer got information from hotel manager the writer considered it’s a problem because as far as the writer knows the quality and quantity of beach and panorama in Bangka Belitung is very excellent but less of promotion. How to solve this problem ? eventhough the number of local guest increase but the guest from abrod so little. The roles of local guide and government are very important because their roles really need to increse the bangka Belitung tourism. The writer thought how to make a link in the other country like Singapore or Malaysia because from these countries there are many tourists and businessmen want to make conference or just want to spend their holiday in staying in hotel of Bangka Belitung. They can come to Indonesia and especially in Bamgka Belitung province by using a special ship from Sinngapore to Bangka Belitung Province. So Bangka Belitung shoud build a special harbour for it. And the writer thought it is a way tomaka Bangka Belitung famailiar as torism province in the world.

Abstract

This writing is to show how women religion organization has an interlationship use social capital by giving economical benefit to green vendors in local term called “Kemplang” in Bangka. Social capital which performs social informal relationship, also contribute to the proses of how the community group help others aspecially women green vendors as community group which have role in rising fund to empower their efforts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine (1) self-perception of students toward English language skills, and (2) differences in perception of language skills among female students and male students. Population and sample of this research is the students of the first semester of the English study program STAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Babel. The research data was collected by distributing questionnaires of self-perception of English ability. The data were analyzed by finding the average value and the percentage of self-perception of students, consisting of two parts of the statement, which included an assessment of the ability of themselves and their affective aspects. The results show that most of the research subjects have a fairly positive self-perception about their English language skills, especially in pronouncing simple things in English. Moreover, in general, they have a pretty good ability in the affective aspects of learning English. But overall, male students have a more positive self-perception, both in terms of ability to practice English or in the affective aspects when studying English in the classroom than female students. This could indicate that the average proficiency of male students are better than female students because, based on many previous studies, self-perception can be a reflection of the actual individual condition.

Abstract

One of the causes of Physics is less desirable, in the material of physics there are many concepts that are abstract so difficult to imagine. Therefore, many students simply work with physical formulas, without trying to learn the background of the underlying philosophy. One method of physics teaching is the use of Macromedia Flash 8 animation. This program is one of the computer program that can be used in developing the making of learning media. This research tries to explore how to make animation material bilingual fluid in SMA using Macromedia Flash 8. Based on data analysis in this study can be made a conclusion as follows: "By using the Macromedia Flash 8 animation program can be made learning media on temperature and caloric materials will be run with a computer that allows users to interact with the program." With this media the role of teachers is still large in the learning process because as a manager of teaching and learning activities in the classroom.

Abstract

implementation of learning with quantum models in improving learning outcomes in the subjects of Indonesian language class XII IPS 3 SMA (Senior High School) Negeri 8 Bengkulu City academic year 2016/2017, especially regarding the basic competence of writing poetry is to be said to have succeeded. This is evident from the results of tests (evaluation) conducted by teachers to students, where from the stages of learning is done (starting from prasiklus up to cycles I and II) always experience good value improvement continuously.
