Abstract

Hadith is the second primary source of Islamic law after the Qur'an, and its large volume makes manual thematic classification time-consuming and inefficient. This study proposes an AI-assisted labeling approach to construct an Indonesian thematic hadith dataset and evaluates the performance of two text classification methods, namely TF-IDF + Support Vector Machine (SVM) and IndoBERT. The dataset consists of 6,600 Indonesian-translated Sahih Bukhari hadiths collected from the Hadith API and categorized into four thematic classes: aqidah, ibadah, akhlak, and muamalah. The annotation process employed Gemini 2.5 Flash with a structured prompt and JSON-based output format, followed by validation performed by a hadith researcher validation on a randomly selected 5% sample, achieving an overall agreement of 73.3%. The annotated data were divided into training and testing sets using an 80:20 stratified split. Model performance was evaluated using Accuracy, Macro F1-score, and Weighted F1-score. Experimental results show that TF-IDF + SVM achieved an Accuracy of 73.1%, a Macro F1-score of 70.1%, and a Weighted F1-score of 73.0%, while IndoBERT achieved an Accuracy of 72.3%, a Macro F1-score of 69.7%, and a Weighted F1-score of 72.2%. The results indicate that the conventional TF-IDF + SVM approach slightly outperformed the Transformer-based IndoBERT model on the proposed dataset. The main contributions of this study are the construction of an Indonesian thematic hadith dataset through AI-assisted labeling and a comparative evaluation of conventional and Transformer-based methods for Indonesian hadith classification.

Abstract

Rigid pavement damage on Jalan Anggrek in Kupang City shows an increasing trend with the high intensity of commercial vehicles, especially water trucks. This study aims to evaluate the effect of water tanker truck traffic on the fatigue life of rigid pavement and its implications for road maintenance costs. The method used is a mechanistic-empirical approach based on the calculation of repeated axle loads, fatigue factors, and erosion factors in two traffic scenarios, namely with and without water trucks. Model validation is carried out by comparing the analysis results with the visual conditions of actual damage in the field, while model development continues with service life prediction and maintenance cost estimation using the cost per meter of crack unit. The results show that the presence of water trucks contributes significantly to increasing pavement erosion values, especially in the dual axle group, which has an impact on accelerating surface crack growth. In the scenario without water tankers, erosion values are relatively low and indicate a slower degradation rate. The percentage of actual damage in the field of ±5% is still in the routine maintenance category, but the erosion value trend indicates a potential increase in the need for intervention in the future. Cost prediction models show that the dominance of water tanker trucks can increase accumulated maintenance costs by more than 30% over the long term compared to conditions without water trucks. Thus, water truck traffic has been shown to reduce pavement service life and increase road maintenance budget requirements, necessitating vehicle load control strategies and more adaptive structural planning on urban roads.

Abstract

Volcanic activity at Mount Lewotobi produces large quantities of volcanic ash which, to date, has not been utilised to its full potential and tends to end up as environmental waste. On the other hand, the demand for fillers in asphalt concrete surface course (AC-WC) mixtures continues to rise in line with the development of road infrastructure, whilst the availability of conventional fillers is limited and dependent on specific materials. These circumstances highlight the need to develop sustainable alternative fillers based on local materials. This study aims to analyse the potential of volcanic ash from Mount Lewotobi as an alternative filler in surface-treated asphalt concrete (AC-WC) mixtures. The research focused on evaluating the physical characteristics of volcanic ash and the effect of its use on the Marshall parameters of the AC-WC mixture. The results of the study indicate that volcanic ash from Mount Lewotobi has a fineness that meets the requirements for use as a filler. The use of volcanic ash as an alternative filler produced stability, flow, VIM, VMA and VFB values that fell within the specification limits. At certain filler contents, volcanic ash was able to improve the stability and density of the mixture without significantly reducing its flexibility. The findings of this study take the form of technical recommendations for the use of volcanic ash from Mount Lewotobi as an alternative filler in AC-WC mixtures, which are expected to support the utilisation of local materials, resource efficiency and the implementation of sustainable road pavement construction, particularly in the East Nusa Tenggara region.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, capital structure, and liquidity on firm value in food and beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021-2024 period. In this study, Return on Assets (ROA) is used as a proxy for profitability, Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) represents capital structure, Current Ratio (CR) is employed to measure liquidity, while Price to Book Value (PBV) serves as an indicator of firm value. A quantitative approach was adopted, employing multiple linear regression analysis to examine the relationships among the variables. The study utilized secondary data obtained from the annual financial statements of food and beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, resulting in a total of 80 observations. The findings reveal that profitability has no significant effect on firm value (sig. = 0.307). In contrast, capital structure has a positive and significant effect on firm value (sig. = 0.001). Liquidity, however, does not have a significant effect on firm value (sig. = 0.225). The coefficient of determination of 15.1% indicates that the independent variables included in the model explain a portion of the variation in firm value. These findings highlight the importance of effective capital structure management in enhancing firm value and enhancing investor interest. Nevertheless, this study is limited to three independent variables and focuses exclusively on food and beverage manufacturing companies during the 2021-2024 period. Therefore, future research is recommended to expand the scope of the study by incorporating additional variables, such as dividend policy, firm size, firm growth, and macroeconomic factors, as well as extending the research object and observation period to obtain more comprehensive empirical evidence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze ergonomic risks and propose improvements to working posture using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method in the Assembly Engine area. The research was conducted through direct observation, documentation of operators’ working postures, interviews, and distribution of Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaires. The results showed that several work activities had moderate to high ergonomic risk levels caused by bending postures, repetitive movements, and non-ergonomic component handling activities. The most common complaints experienced by operators were related to the neck, back, waist, and wrists. Based on the REBA analysis results, several improvements are required, including workstation layout adjustments, use of assistive devices, improvement of working methods, and implementation of ergonomic training. The proposed improvements are expected to reduce the risk of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs), improve operator comfort, and support productivity and occupational safety sustainably within the production environment.

Abstract

Conventional water quality monitoring systems face two main obstacles: high data transmission latency caused by HTTP polling mechanisms and the inability to proactively notify operators of sensor conditions before failure occurs. This study presents the design and implementation of an integrated real-time web dashboard that combines Internet of Things (IoT) architecture with a WebSocket-based interface for water quality monitoring and predictive maintenance notifications. An ESP32 microcontroller acquires pH, turbidity, temperature, and TDS parameters and publishes them asynchronously via MQTT protocol to the HiveMQ public broker. A FastAPI backend subscribes to the broker, processes time-series data streams, and broadcasts telemetry and inference status to a React 18 frontend through persistent WebSocket channels. As a supporting inference component, a 1D-CNN model is adopted as a standard classification engine to distinguish Normal, Degraded, and Critical sensor conditions—complementing a TDS-based Rejection Rate formula used as an aggregate filtration performance indicator. System testing shows an average end-to-end latency of 1.38 seconds from sensor acquisition to dashboard rendering, with 1–2 second data reception intervals confirming WebSocket channel reliability. Conditional rendering on the React interface successfully visualizes three dynamic operational status levels based on Rejection Rate values: Fit for Consumption (green, RR 94.8%), Warning (orange, RR 91.6%), and Not Fit for Consumption (red, RR −79.8%). The resulting platform demonstrates that integrating low-latency message brokering with a high-performance asynchronous server can deliver responsive visualization and proactive maintenance notifications without dedicated GPU hardware. The primary contribution of this study is the development of an integrated monitoring dashboard architecture that combines low-latency messaging protocols with a lightweight inference model, thereby enabling real-time preventive maintenance notifications to be executed instantly on an interactive web interface.
