Abstract

The research aims to determine the right food snack business opportunities that are able to attract public interest in Pematangsiantar City. The decision support system applied in this study uses the Vikor method. Sources of research data are obtained by observing or interviewing traders who sell food snacks in Pematangsiantar City. The recommendation of food snack business opportunities was carried out by taking 13 samples and using several criteria, including: (K1) initial capital, (K2) operating costs, (K3) profit, (K4) buyers, and (K5) competitors as benchmarks. From the results of research conducted with the Vikor method, it shows that the alternative that ranks first with the smallest Q value is Assorted Ice Cream with a value of Q = 0 as the recommended alternative.

Abstract

Graduation is an important element in an accreditation assessment process of an institution or university. It is important to find out information about the predictions of student graduation in the Information Systems Study Program at STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematangsiantar, so that students who cannot graduate on time can be identified earlier. The application of data mining can be used to predict student graduation. Method that often used to predict student graduation is classification method. This research using C4.5 Algorithm. Data that used as training data are from alumni of Information Systems Study Program at STIKOM Tunas Bangsa and the final level student data of Information Systems Study Program at STIKOM Tunas Bangsa used as testing data. Through this research, it is expected that the results can provide information on predictions of student graduation on time and as a suggestion for the university in making good decisions for improvement in the future.

Abstract

Employee performance appraisal is a work evaluation activity that is used to determine the quality which will be used for the achievement of each individual employee. The purpose of this research is to appraise employee performance, especially for the security guard. In this study the authors used the Decision Support System technique using the Fuzzy Multi Attribute Decision Making algorithm, namely Weighted Product. The source of the research data used was to provide an assessment form to Krani Papam. In the employee performance appraisal, researchers used 5 assessment criteria, including: Attendance (C1), Responsibility (C2), Commitment (C3), Cooperation (C4), and Motivation (C5). In this study, the alternative used as a sample is employees in the security section (security guard). From the results of manual calculations and system testing, the highest value is 0.0286. It is expected that the results of this study can provide input to the office, especially the security section (security guard) in selecting employee performance so that the assessment is carried out objectively.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the most dominant factor in students' difficulties in completing their thesis. In this study, researchers used data mining techniques using the C4.5 algorithm. Sources of research data used were obtained from interviews and questionnaires to students randomly in the STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematangsiantar environment. The research variables used were motivation to graduate on time (C1), ability to write scientific papers (C2), availability of learning resources (C3), guidance process (C4), and peer environment (C5). In this study, the alternative used as a sample is the student of STIKOM Tunas Bangsa, semester eight. The results of the classification using the C4.5 algorithm and testing with rapidminer software found that the most dominant factor in student difficulty in completing theses was the motivation to graduate on time (C1) with a gain value of 0.204593531.

Abstract

The development of construction in Indonesia is increasing rapidly, therefore building materials are needed to be used in building a construction. Every building materials store must have a transaction system and an inventory system. Whether it's an efficient or less efficient inventory system. For this reason, this research was conducted to help the owner or manager of a building shop to more easily determine the combination pattern of supplies and purchases of building goods. The a priori algorithm is used in this study because the a priori algorithm is suitable in connecting the itemset combination patterns. Therefore the a priori algorithm is suitable in determining the purchase combination pattern in order to get a good inventory system. And from the process carried out, a confidence value of 75% was obtained, not only that this research was also assisted by a priori algorithm supporting application, namely the Tanagra application.

Abstract

The research aims to make the Decision Support System the best means of choosing masks with various types of facial skin especially Indonesian women, then recommending which masks are best to use. This problem can be ranked in the study. The method used in this research is the Electre method on the Decision Support System. Sources of research data obtained by interview and observation by giving a set of questions or statements to the customer used as respondents to be answered. The selection of face masks is used with several criteria including: (K1) oily skin, (K2) acne prone skin, (K3) dull skin, (K4) normal skin. And has sub criteria: color (c1), Texture (c2), Aroma (c3), Price (c4). The results of the research using the Electre method are expected to make it easier to determine the ranking of data winners from each alternative by the assessment process and facilitate system implementation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to build a decision support system that can be used by schools in the selection of scholarship recipients, which requires completion, as decision support with multicriteria is the VIKOR method. The basic concept of the VIKOR method is to determine the ranking of the existing samples. This study aims to apply the VIKOR method to the selection of scholarship recipients that can be used to assist the student section in determining the recommendation for scholarship acceptance at SMK TPI AL-HASANNAH Pematang Bandar by considering various predetermined criteria. The criteria used in this study are value, parent's income, parent's dependents, number of siblings. The results show that the VIKOR method can be used to assist the selection process and determine the right scholarship recipient. In the VIKOR method, each weight given shows the same results, so that it can be used as a compromise solution in dealing with multicriteria problems.

Abstract

Increasing the amount of demand for natural resource needs is increasing. One of them is natural resources in the sea and coast. The current condition of capture fisheries in Indonesia is not yet optimal. This is indicated by the increase in the volume of capture fisheries production which is very slow. The purpose of this study is to make data classification for the prediction of the average volume increase in capture fisheries with data mining techniques. Data mining techniques are applied to determine the data patterns of the capture fisheries dataset, so the results of the classification can be applied to evaluate the factors that affect the volume of capture fisheries. The classification algorithm used is C45. The results of the classification were tested with rapidminer in classifying data. The level of performance is indicated by the accuracy value. The accuracy value is obtained by testing the results of the classification of training data and testing data. Comparison of accuracy values between the algorithms used can be seen the best algorithm in making the classification of capture fisheries data.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how much the level of community satisfaction with services in the Pematangsiantar Religious Court. In this study, researchers used the data mining technique C.45 algorithm. The source of research data used is by giving questionnaires to the community. In this case the researchers used the assessment attributes, among others: Service, ability, behavior, cost, and infrastructure. In this study the alternative used as a sample is Pematangsiantar City Community. the results of this study will become input for the Pematangsiantar Religious Court to provide the best possible service so that the community is satisfied with the service.

Abstract

Pedadogic competencies are the competencies that teachers must have in managing learning so that the process can run well. Mining data is a series of processes to explore the added value obtained from information or knowledge that can form a decision pattern that will later be used in analyzing pedagogical competency factors the teacher in the learning process for one semester is based on the criteria of understanding students, designing learning, evaluating learning outcomes, learning that educates and dialogues and develops students to share their potential. Pedagogic assessment is done by summing the value of each criterion and using a standard value to determine the final value. The application of the c45 algorithm can be used to prodece a decission tree that will be taken to determine the form of rules or rules that will be used as a decision tree
