Abstract

Mobility restriction during the Covid-19 pandemic is one of many living aspects that changed people’s behaviour. The emergence of e-groceries helps many people get their groceries with the restrictions given. Segari is one of the e-grocery that emerged during the pandemic. In order to increase its sales and revenue and to be able to keep its growth even post-pandemic, Segari needs to understand its consumer’s behaviour better, so this research was conducted. We used the modified version of UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use) as the research model. We examined the effect of brand association, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived security, and perceived price towards Segari’s purchase intention. We also examine the moderating effect of gender and age in this research. Quantitative research was done using SEM-PLS and PLS-MGA for the moderating effect. Findings show that brand association, perceived usefulness, and perceived security significantly affect Segari’s purchase intention, while perceived ease of use and perceived price do not significantly affect Segari’s purchase intention. Gender differs in the effect of brand association and perceived security and does not differ in the effect of perceived ease of use, perceived price, and perceived usefulness. Age differs in the effect of perceived security on Segari’s purchase intention and not in the effect of brand association, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived price on Segari’s purchase intention.

Abstract

Menstruation is a natural phenomenon in women who have gone through puberty. During this period, it is very important to maintain the hygiene of the private part. Unfortunately, education about menstruation in Indonesia is still low. This lack of education about menstruation also causes the Indonesian women to be uninformed about the menstrual product other than disposable menstrual pad. Menstrual pad is considered to bring a lot of disadvantages, not only to the health but also to environment. One of the product alternatives that can be used during menstruation is menstrual cup. However, the adoption of menstrual cup in Indonesia is still very low. This study intends to explore what factors can influence the purchase intention for menstrual cup by examining consumer doubt, scepticism, familiarity, information seeking and value for money. 160 responses were collected through the survey using a self-administered questionnaire. Research hypotheses were tested using multiple regression, with SPSS software. The result of this study showed that consumer doubt, familiarity, information seeking and value for money were significant in influencing purchase intention, while scepticism was not significant. The result of this study gives insight for the companies producing menstrual cup in designing the proper strategy in promoting their products. Limitations and suggestions for further research was also discussed

Abstract

This paper analyzes the constraints on supply chain processes within the poultry industry in West Java, Indonesia after COVID-19 pandemic. During the upstream process, poultry feed costs fluctuates greatly and lacks of storage which causing feed supply constraint, the mortality rate of chickens often surpasses 5% due to several factors including stocking density. Another identified problem adversely affecting the upstream process is the inability of small-scale farmers to procure their own Grand Parent Stock (GPS) since they remain dependent upon corporations to supply it, leading to inefficiency and increased production costs. Meanwhile, in downstream processes, the lack of a cold supply chain system and adequate storage capacity presents other challenges with regard to product durability. Consumer awareness regarding the relationship between food safety and health, and shifting in consumer preferences, especially during COVID-19 pandemic is also considered as a constraint in West Java poultry supply chain. To cope with those problems, several solutions such as technology and policy were offered to improve and solve problems in the supply chain process. Technology can be a powerful tool in addressing challenges in the poultry supply chain by providing efficient, accurate, and scalable solutions. While policy play a crucial role in addressing problems in the poultry supply chain by setting standards, promoting best practices, and providing a framework for action, regulate the behavior of the actors, promote transparency and hold actors accountable for their actions. A causal loop diagram is also made to assess the relationship between technology and policy in poultry supply chain process

Abstract

Indonesia currently has a high rate of educated unemployment. Because most college graduates are still oriented toward being job seekers rather than job creators, there is a high rate of educated unemployment. As a result, the purpose of this study was to identify factors that influence student entrepreneurial intentions in terms of the Theory of Planned Behavior framework (attitude toward entrepreneurship and subjective norms), which is supplemented with personality variables (self-efficacy and locus of control) and environmental variables in the form of environment support. The study was conducted quantitatively with judgmental sampling of 108 students who are still enrolled in school, have participated in education or entrepreneurship programs, and do not own a business. Multiple regression was used to analyze the study's findings.

Abstract

Shopping centres have transformed consumers’ consumption patterns, behaviour, and spatial trips. Consumers’ shopping trips have shifted from traditional shopping streets to shopping centres. Their decision to patronise a shopping centre is generally influenced by a set of attributes that consumers consider commanding them to visit the centre. These attributes or reasons establish a shopping centre’s role in a neighbourhood. This paper aims to analyse consumers’ reasons for visiting shopping centres, their visits companions, and the frequency of their visits to the shopping centres as determinant factors for township shopping centres as entertainment spaces in South Africa. The study contributes to the literature on shopping centres in townships outside of South Africa’s metropolitan areas. A questionnaire survey was employed to acquire data from 390 consumers in Namakgale Crossing using the convenient sampling technique. The study concludes that township shopping centres play an entertainment and social role in addition to their economic role.

Abstract

The main source of bank income is from interest, where interest income is obtained because banks extend credit to the public. Thus, credit disbursement becomes very important for banks. However, in credit disbursement, banks must be careful because of the risks faced by banks in extending credit. The research objective was to examine the effect of banking risk and profitability on credit disbursement. Bank risk consists of liquidity risk, which is measured by the loan to deposit ratio (LDR), credit risk, which is measured by non-performing loans (NPL), operational risk, which is measured by operating expenses to operating income (OEIR), and capital, which is measured by capital adequacy. ratio (CAR). While profitability is measured by return on assets (ROA), third party funds (DPK) are measured by the natural log of total third party funds. The population in this study are conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Samples were taken as many as 26 banks with purposive sampling method. The observation period is 6 years 2016 – 2021 with quarterly data. Hypothesis testing uses multiple linear regression with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that profitability, loan to deposit ratio, capital adequacy ratio and bank efficiency level (OEIR) had a positive effect on lending. Meanwhile, non-performing loans have no effect on credit distribution.

Abstract

Peer level of animal proteins for Indonesians reach low level of consumption-per-capita (CPC), this low protein consumption is strongly associated with malnutrition. Supply and demand take a part in several studies, supply-side approval meets consumption needs. Herd size, livestock shed, and production efficiency impacting the land mass area and environment. Beef meat consumption is inherently dependent on several interlinked and dynamic system modelling. One such methodology like modelling interactive systems in multivariate impact will yield the greatest overall increase in beef supply consequently. Using systems modelling tools, the researcher tries to simulate how beef consumption patterns are a dependent factor of several interrelationships with systems thinking. The alternative cluster structure is divided into 2 parts, tax policy and budget policy, which are the source of the budget scheme. Two of the six alternative policies were selected as the best choices with acceleration of output achievement. The higher tax rate is a consequence of a depressed level of demand, which has implications for national per capita consumption.
