Abstract

Identity fraud and document falsification in the healthcare sector pose significant threats to professional integrity and patient safety. This study examines the case of Susanto, an impostor doctor who practiced for three years at Primasatya Husada Citra (PHC) Hospital in Surabaya, and analyzes the legal framework overseeing such incidents. The research employs a normative juridical method with a qualitative approach to explore legal aspects, identify weaknesses in medical personnel supervision systems, and propose necessary policy recommendations. The findings reveal that the Surabaya District Court’s decision to impose a four-year prison sentence on the defendant under Article 378 of the Indonesian Penal Code represents a firm legal stance aimed at deterrence. Furthermore, the study highlights that insufficient oversight by medical committees is a key factor contributing to serious breaches within the healthcare system. Therefore, enhanced audit mechanisms and evaluations in medical personnel recruitment processes are urgently needed to prevent similar incidents in the future. This research is relevant to the development of policies and practices in Indonesia's healthcare sector, particularly in strengthening the oversight mechanisms for medical personnel recruitment.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang begitu pesat tentunya berimbas ke banyak aspek kehidupan kita, tak terkecuali sepakbola. Sepakbola modern kini telah banyak mengimplementasikan berbagai teknologi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pertandingan yang ada, baik bagi pemain maupun penonton. Salah satu teknologi tersebut yaitu sensor yang ada di dalam bola. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis cara kerja sistem pelacakan bola yang digunakan pada ajang FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, khususnya dari sudut pandang elektronik. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan tinjauan literatur. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa teknologi dapat memainkan peranan penting dalam perkembangan sepak bola, membuatnya lebih adil dan lebih baik bagi pemain serta penikmat sepak bola. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknologi sensor berbasis Ultra-Wideband (UWB) dan Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) memainkan peran kunci dalam memastikan akurasi pelacakan posisi bola dengan tingkat kesalahan kurang dari 10 cm dan kecepatan pembaruan hingga 400 kali per detik. Sistem ini memanfaatkan teknik triangulasi seperti Time-Difference of Arrival (TDoA) untuk menentukan lokasi bola secara real-time, yang didukung oleh jaringan antena di sekitar stadion. Teknologi ini juga memungkinkan pengolahan data secara otomatis untuk menghasilkan metrik penting seperti kecepatan bola, panjang operan, dan interaksi bola dengan pemain. Kesimpulannya, integrasi teknologi seperti Connected Ball Technology tidak hanya meningkatkan keadilan dan kualitas pertandingan, tetapi juga membuka peluang baru untuk analisis taktik dan pengalaman menonton yang lebih interaktif. Implikasi penelitian ini mencakup pengembangan teknologi lanjutan yang dapat diterapkan di berbagai level pertandingan sepak bola untuk meningkatkan pengalaman baik bagi pemain maupun penonton.

Abstract

The increasing depletion of high-calorific coal resources has driven coal-fired power plants (PLTU) to switch to low-calorific coal with calorific values ranging from 4,200 to 4,800 kcal/kg. Simultaneously, the Indonesian government aims to achieve a renewable energy mix of 23% by 2025 and 31.2% by 2050, promoting the co-firing of biomass with coal at rates of 5% to 12%. However, this transition presents operational challenges, such as altered combustion characteristics, overheating in superheater zones, and increased slagging and fouling potential. This study aims to analyze the impact of co-firing biomass with coal on boiler performance at a 600 MW PLTU using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. Data inputs include coal specifications and biomass mixing ratios of 3%, 5%, 8%, and 12%. Simulations were conducted using Ansys Fluent software to assess variations in temperature, pressure, and flow distribution. The results indicate that increasing biomass percentages reduces combustion temperatures and alters the distribution of key combustion byproducts, such as H₂O and SO₂. A higher biomass ratio mitigates the risk of overheating but requires careful operational adjustments to maintain efficiency. The findings support the optimization of co-firing operations, contributing to reduced carbon emissions and compliance with Indonesia’s renewable energy targets. This study provides actionable insights for improving PLTU performance while aligning with sustainable energy goals.

Abstract

Bacteria are prokaryotic organisms, many of which are part of the normal flora in the human body without causing infection. The infection pattern caused by this aerobic bacteria can very depending on factors such as the duration of catheter use, the patient’s health condition, and hygiene levels. Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI) is one of the most common infections in the ICU and contribute to increased mortality and morbidity rates. Objective: To determine the aerobic bacterial patterns in urethral catheters and their antibiotic susceptibility at Pancaran Kasih General Hospital, Manado. Method: This study used a descriptive observational design with a cross-sectional approach to analyze the aerobic bacterial patterns and antibiotic susceptibility in the urine of patients with urethral catheters at GMIM Pancaran Kasih General Hospital, Manado. Results: Samples were taken from patients using urethral catheters, and 9 Gram-positive and 5 Gram-negative bacteria were identified, with Staphylococcus sp. being the most frequently found bacterium. Antibiotic susceptibility testing showed that Staphylococcus sp., Staphylococcus aureus, and Bacillus sp. were highly sensitive to two antibiotics: doxycycline and meropenem. Conversely, these bacteria showed resistance to several antibiotics, including chloramphenicol. Conclusion: Urethral catheter use revealed Staphylococcus sp. as the most frequently found bacterium. Antibiotic susceptibility testing showed that Staphylococcus sp., Staphylococcus aureus, and Bacillus sp. were sensitive to doxycycline and meropenem.

Abstract

Environmental problems are one of the serious environmental issues that we are facing, with various challenges such as air pollution, environmental pollution, carbon emissions, and excessive use of plastic, which have an impact on us humans. This journal discusses the implementation of the Go Green system as a solution to overcome this problem. Go Green is a movement that focuses on efforts to protect and care for the environment through various actions and efforts, such as saving energy, reducing plastic waste and recycling waste. This research uses participatory methods and interviews, and involves waste recycling and greening practices. The research results show that consistent implementation of the Go Green system can have a positive impact on the environment, reduce pollution and support the sustainability of the earth. With good cooperation and individual responsibility, this system can be a long-term solution for preserving the environment.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the serious health problems in Indonesia, especially in children under five. This study aims to analyze the impact of maternal education level and exclusive breastfeeding on the prevalence of stunting in Palangka Raya. The research method used in this study uses quantitative methods and cross-sectional approaches with univariate data analysis and bivariate analysis. The univariate analysis aims to describe the distribution of toddlers based on age, gender, maternal education level, distribution of exclusive breastfeeding, and nutritional status of toddlers based on health profile data in the form of a frequency distribution table. This study involved 540 respondents consisting of mothers and children under five. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of maternal education and exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in toddlers in Palangka Raya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of performance appraisal and competency development on work motivation, with career development as a mediating variable at Bank Indonesia. The research employs a quantitative approach using survey methods. The findings reveal that performance appraisal and career development have a positive and significant influence on work motivation, while competency development does not have a direct significant effect. Additionally, career development significantly mediates the influence of performance appraisal and competency development on work motivation. These findings highlight the importance of integrating performance appraisal systems, career development programs, and competency development to maximize employee potential and enhance work motivation at Bank Indonesia.

Abstract

Pending claims are a problem that still often occurs in Indonesia, where many hospitals face obstacles in the BPJS Kesehatan claim process. This problem can have a significant impact on the quality of health services. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause BPJS Kesehatan pending claims in hospitals. The method used is literature review by searching for articles through the Google Scholar database in the last five years. The study follows PRISMA guidelines and uses the PICO framework to determine inclusion and exclusion criteria. The keywords used in the search involve the operator's boolean: "Factor" AND "Pending Claim" OR "Return" AND "BPJS" OR "JKN". From the search results, 20 articles were found that were worthy of systematic review. The results of the review showed that 17 articles identified internal factors as the main cause of pending claims, especially the incompleteness of supporting documents such as laboratory results, ECG, and chronological letters. In addition, 19 articles revealed external factors as the main cause, namely lack of thoroughness and responsibility in carrying out tasks, such as data input errors, incompleteness in filling out medical resumes, and inaccuracies in diagnostic or action codes. Internal and external factors influence each other, so the right solutions are needed for every aspect, including improving the quality of documentation, improving the e-claim information system, and developing human resource competencies through training.

Abstract

In an era of increasingly complex globalization, the legal regulation of international agreements is very important to ensure legal certainty in cross-border contracts. Challenges faced in the recognition and enforcement of ties, including differences in legal systems, jurisdictional conflicts, and juridical obstacles. The law of engagement serves as the basis of legal relations binding the parties to a contract, but its implementation is often hampered by differences in legal procedures and public order principles in different countries. Harmonization of law through international treaties, such as the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and the 1958 New York Convention, is proposed as a solution to overcome these differences. In addition, international arbitration is recognized as an effective dispute resolution mechanism, providing flexibility and certainty for the parties. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach to explore the dynamics of international binding law and its implications for the enforcement of rights and obligations in the context of international civil law. The results show that strengthening the international legal framework and collaboration between countries is necessary to create a stable and predictable business environment.

Abstract

The Digital Marketing Training for small business actors in GMIM Kharisma Buha, Mapanget District, aims to enhance marketing technology understanding among local entrepreneurs. This study identifies that many small business owners have not maximized their utilization of digital technology following the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this training, participants were introduced to the use of social media platforms like Instagram and Google Maps to promote their products. The training results indicate a significant improvement in digital skills, enabling business actors to enhance their visibility and product sales. This program is expected to continue supporting the development of SMEs in the area..
