Jurnal Abdimas Pariwisata published twice a year on January and July by Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata AMPTA Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The publication of this journal is a community service in the field of tourism studies. The scope of these areas includes tourism planning, tourism management, community empowerment, destination, community-based tourism, hospitality, hotels, heritage, and culture.

<![CDATA[Pesantren Raudhatul Jannah: Strategies for Increasing Ease of Doing Business in the Pandemic Era with Public Empowerment Programs. The Tahfizh Raudhatul Jannah Islamic Boarding School is a picture of an institution that combines the spirit of education and entrepreneurship among its students. This entrepreneurial spirit also empowers the surrounding community by utilizing existing lands. This paper aims to describe the purpose and existence of the Tahfizh Raudhatul Jannah Islamic Boarding School and how the efforts of the Tahfizh Raudhatul Jannah Islamic Boarding School to exploit the existing potential of halal tourism and create various efforts to empower the surrounding community. The increase in Muslim tourists from year to year is an opportunity and a challenge for the tourism sector to develop halal tourism. Halal tourism development is carried out by creating a tour package program. Tourists must take part in activities at the pesantren so that they can memorize the Koran. This program makes Islamic boarding schools the centre of the economy by carrying out various business activities, ranging from raising catfish, goats, planting oranges and bananas.]]>

<![CDATA[Mentoring of Garongan Tourism Village: Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata AMPTA Yogyakarta Collaboration Program with the Kementrian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif/ Badan Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif. Garongan Tourism Village is one of the developing tourism villages in the Yogyakarta Special Region. Garongan Tourism Village has tourism potential, including natural tourism, cultural tourism, culinary tourism. This village also has an interesting historical background as a former hiding place for thieves (Garong: Java). There are still weaknesses in the management of Garongan Tourism Village and the many tourism potentials that exist, so that this village needs improvement through the tourism village assistance program. This mentoring program results from the collaboration between the Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata AMPTA Yogyakarta and the Kementrian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif/Badan Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif. Mentoring results are measured by indicators of success, showing that the capacity of human resources and governance of the Garongan Tourism Village has increased. This mentoring program also resulted in the achievement of the Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata AMPTA Yogyakarta as the best tourism village mentoring in the top 14 National ranks by the Kementrian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif/Badan Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif.]]>

<![CDATA[Community Capacity Building and Identification of Tourism Potential in the Development of Watu Tiri Village as a Tourism Village This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of the Watu Tiri Village community in the tourism sector and identify existing tourism potentials. In this activity, there are three approaches taken, including Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), Community-based development, and participatory. Data collection used focus group discussion (FGD) techniques and field observations. The tourism potentials identified in this community service activity include Mberenang Beach and hot springs as natural tourism potential, while cultural potential includes the activity of weaving single for women and traditional ceremonies in Watu Tiri Village. It can be concluded that in developing Watu Tiri Village as a tourism village, assistance activities such as promotion and e-commerce training, guiding training and English language training, and improving the mitigation system in the Mberenang Beach area are still needed to improve its image.]]>

<![CDATA[Food Processing Training with Community Agricultural Products. The Sosok Peak tourist destination in the village of Bawuran has abundant natural resources in the form of Moringa plants. Until now, the community has not been able to use the Moringa plant to be used as a variety of processed products and has a resale value. This community service program aims to increase the knowledge and skills regarding the use of Moringa leaves. To train and grow an entrepreneurial spirit in the community so that it can improve the economy of the Bawuran village community. The targets of community service activity are the people of Bawuran village, Sosok Peak’s tourism manager and the merchants. The method used in this community service is carried out in several stages including identification, socialization, training and assistance. Community service has provided several benefits to the community, namely an increase in community knowledge about the benefits of Moringa and its use as well as introducing an entrepreneurial spirit. For traders, they can increase their knowledge about processing various food products that can be sold at Sosok Peak. <![CDATA[Skill Development with Cooking Training for Guramek Fish Dishes to the Extra-Curricular Group of Food Catering Students at Permai Pluit High School Jakarta. Cooking is an art to process raw materials into a ready eat the dish with proper cooking methods. To be able to cook well and properly, people need training the right way. Pelita Harapan School of Hospitality and Tourism carry out community service cooking training activities aimed at the cooking club at Permai Senior High School Pluit Jakarta. The purpose of this community service is to share cooking skill and knowledge with the member of the cooking club at Permai High School Pluit Jakarta since they need assistance to improve their cooking and food presentation skill. A pre-test was conducted before the training to find out the basic skill and knowledge of cooking especially gurame fish; the ending of community service activities was carried out in the post-test to determine the effectiveness of the gurame cooking training that had done. Cooking training activities to the member of the cooking class Permai High School Students has a positive influence because the cooking club member became more skillfully and understand in processing gurame into various Nusantara Recipes.]]>

<![CDATA[Managing Homestay Training in the Tourism Village of Donokerto. Donokerto Village is one of the pioneering tourist villages that has quite a good potential in terms of the diversity of tourist attractions. In addition to tourist attractions, as the main factor triggering a visit, Homestay is one of the main sources of income which is very strategic to be taken into account in every management of a tourist village. Remembering Homestay is a basic need for every tourist who wants to visit to enjoy the attraction of the village in a long time As a tourism village that is being pioneered, Donokerto Village does not yet have human resources or a community that understands the ins and outs of Homestay management. Therefore, AMPTA Yogyakarta College of Tourism in collaboration with PUM Netherlands Senior Experts held community service with the theme "Training of Managing Homestays in Donokerto Village". The community service activities were carried out using the presentation method and then followed by a panel discussion. <![CDATA[Guidance Training in Donokerto Tourism Village. Donokerto village is one of the pioneering tourist villages that has good potential in terms of the diversity of tourist attractions. As a Pioneer tourism village, the village of Donokerto requires qualified human resources for tourism services, especially as a tour guide. Therefore, the AMPTA Yogyakarta Tourism School in collaboration with PUM Netherlands Senior Experts held a community service with the theme "Guiding Training in Donokerto Village". This community service activity is carried out using role-play and simulation methods, namely by trying to directly deal with tourists and service instructors providing evaluations. <![CDATA[Increasing Competency of Village Tourism Managers through Counseling Prime Services. Customer satisfaction is the key to winning business competition today, including the tourism business. But in the field, there are still many tourism people who still ignore this at this time. A phenomenon that is often encountered is cheating in business, attracting prices too high to achieve big profits in a short time. Therefore, it is very important to do counselling on how to manage good tourism services with a 5-dimensional approach to excellent service, especially for prospective tourism destinations that will develop. To find out the effectiveness of this program, a descriptive analysis has been carried out. The test results indicate there is an understanding of participants about excellent service after counselling.]]>
