Abstract

The automotive industry plays a significant role in the Indonesian economy. However, the automotive industry is one of the manufacturing sectors most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. PT. Sun Star Motor Banyumanik also experienced a drastic decline in sales of up to 60% in May 2020. As a result, the company terminated 20 employees, and a reduction of 25% of the total monthly salary was also applied to employees who were still employed maintained. This paper aims to analyze the financial coping strategies carried out by employees in dealing with the domestic financial crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this paper, the author uses a constructive qualitative approach through observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies to elaborate on the financial coping strategies of PT. Sun Star Motor Banyumanik in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. The data collected were analyzed by thematic analysis through grouping based on themes which were then synthesized. The results of our research show that the employees studied were able to survive by carrying out financial copings are income diversification with running a side business, saving expenses, and delaying credit payments. Employees still need long-term innovations to be able to anticipate changes due to the pandemic

Abstract

Riyaya Undhuh-Undhuh is a tradition of the Jawi Wetan Mojowarno Christian Church. It gives thanks to God for the rice harvest by combining Javanese traditions which involve various religious adherents. Inter-religious tolerance is very much needed in a society that has different religions. The objectives of the research are (1) to find out the process of implementing Riyaya Undhuh-Undhuh tradition at GKJW Mojowarno; (2) to find out the tolerance between religious communities in the life of the people in Mojowarno; (3) to find out the role of tradition on inter-religious tolerance in the Mojowarno community. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collected was about (1) the implementation of Riyaya Undhuh-Undhuh tradition; (2) inter-religious tolerance in the life of the Mojowarno community; (3) the role of tradition towards inter-religious tolerance in Mojowarno with data sources from pastors, congregations’ assemblies, communities, and various religious adherents. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation with participant observation techniques, and documentation. The data were analyzed by qualitative analysis with the stages of data collection, reduction, presentation, conclusion. The validity of the data was obtained by using technical triangulation and source triangulation. The results of this research indicated the role of the Riyaya Undhuh-Undhuh tradition as tolerance between religious communities in the Mojowarno community.

Abstract

State-owned banking has a negative outlook due to asset quality challenges and difficulties in increasing revenue without taking additional risks due to the challenges of business models and difficult external conditions. The study aims to predict the financial health of state-owned banks with the Zmijewski model. This research is an analysis of secondary data based on the balance sheet of state-owned banks, namely: Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia, Bank Mandiri, and Bank Tabungan Negara, for the period 2017-2021 for financial distress predictions as measured by return on asset, debt ratio, and current ratio. Sampling method with saturated sampling. From the results of calculations with the Zmijewski model. It is known that the four state-owned banks are predicted to have financial difficulties and are at high risk of bankruptcy. Management must increase its current assets lest current debt exceeds the value of current assets owned. Increased liquidity in improving financial performance will improve the bank's performance.

Abstract

This paper examines the implementation of corporate governance (CG) and risk management (RM) in a small-package delivery service (SPDS) company in Indonesia, namely PT.XYZ Express, an Indonesian private company owned by several Indonesian shareholders. The principles of corporate governance (CG) have been introduced and implemented in the company, however some challenges occur during the implementation and elaborated in this study.  Qualitative research method is used in this study with observations and documents collected from external and internal of the company. The purpose of this study is (1) to provide an overview of the current implementation of the principles of corporate governance and risk management, (2) to provide risk assessments on the failures related to corporate governance, (3) to provide recommendations for future implementation.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative study and literature study. This study examines how social media influencers influence the behavior of teenagers and their impact on them. The results showed that social identity, source credibility, and quality of information are factors that have an impact on adolescent consumer behavior where these three things are to encourage purchase intentions and behavior of adolescent consumers. The results of the study also show that the impact of the influencer's social media exposure is the increase in materialism from teenagers which also encourages consumptive behavior from teenagers. The results of this study are an illustration of how influencers have on teenagers. For business people and businesses, this research can be used as input in an effort to increase the effectiveness of the use of influencers for the youth market. Meanwhile, for individual teenagers and parents, this research can also be information to limit teenagers in bad behavior such as materialism which leads to waste.

Abstract

The development of the business world has progressed rapidly to encourage increased competition between companies. Building a successful business is not as easy as turning the palm of your hand. Although it is difficult, business actors must be able to manage marketing strategies to determine purchasing decisions for the products/services offered. The purpose of this study is to examine advertising marketing strategies on social media in determining purchasing decisions. This type of research uses a literature study with a qualitative approach. Sources of data are obtained through articles, books, and other documents relevant to the research to help strengthen theories and phenomena of relationships or effects between variables. The qualitative approach emphasizes the aspect of exploring each variable to obtain independent information, placing more emphasis on the quality of the information extracted. The results of this study are advertising marketing strategies on social media influence in determining purchasing decisions. Determination of strategy in marketing related to purchasing decisions explained that technology brought major changes that previously worked manually and had begun to be developed digitally. Lifestyle changes supported by technological developments have an impact on shifting conventional advertising strategies to the digital world at this time, namely on social media which the majority of people use. Suggestions, every change that occurs must be able to be read by business actors to maintain and develop their business. Therefore, the marketing strategy must be planned as well as possible and know the vision, mission, and achievements to be carried out.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, brand image, and social media influencers on purchasing decisions for Scarlett Whitening products on Instagram social media in DKI Jakarta. The source of data in this research is primary data distributed in the form of questionnaires to respondents. The population used in this study were Scarlett Whitening consumers in DKI Jakarta and a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used in this study is the Multiple Linear regression method and hypothesis testing, processed using the IBM SPSS Version 23 application to measure the regression coefficient. This study has a multiple linear regression equation Purchase Decision = 0.167X1 + 0.372X2 + 0.475X3. Based on the results of the t-test of Product Quality, Brand Image and Social Media Influencers partially have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Each country has different characteristics regarding the organizational behavior of its executives; Japan, Sweden, America, Norway and other countries have different patterns of compensating CEOs. This article is intended to explain the relationship between financial performance (ROE and ROA) and non-financial variables (Family ownership and CEO Power) on CEO compensation. The sample used in this research is 41 companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange in 2017 – 2019. The method used is quantitative with multiple regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that ROE, Family Ownership, and CEO Power have a positive and significant effect on CEO Compensation, while ROA has a negative and significant effect on CEO Compensation.

Abstract

The sea border between Indonesia and Vietnam is the sea border located in the South China Sea. So far, there have been several problems that occur especially in the exclusive economic zone between Indonesia and Vietnam which is not yet fully resolved. The exclusive economic zone is the area outside and around it to the territorial sea which is subject to a special legal regime for international maritime law. Based on international principles peace and security, there are some efforts shown to create good relations between countries in resolving disputes that occur. That The principle referred to in resolving international disputes is to provide a way for the disputing parties to resolve their dispute based on international law. There are two methods of solving known in international law, namely in peace and in war (military). Dispute settlement procedures for countries that are interconnected with sea areas between countries can be seen in Article 287 UNCLOS 1982 which regulates alternatives and dispute resolution Procedure. This research is a normative research that examines the sources of related to the problem under discussion. The results of this study concluded that in resolve disputes between Indonesia and Vietnam on maritime the territorial waters of the Exclusive Economic Zone, can be in the form of: resolved with various alternative dispute resolution as described in the 1982 UNCLOS framework, namely a) peaceful disputes settlement, b) dispute resolution with mandatory procedures. Each country is given the freedom to choose the alternative that will be used in resolving the dispute that is being faced what both parties want both through litigation (court route) and non-litigation channel (out of court) as provided for in Article 280 of UNCLOS 1982.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe how does the role of organizational development and integrated reporting<IR> implementation within optimizing on regional asset management. Design/methodology/approach: As qualitative research with subject of regional government in Indonesia. Used informational analysis approach from secondary data from archives related to regional asset management. Findings: The role of strategic, social, technical and administrative organizational development is relative more dominant in the clarity of the role of goals to be achieved in optimizing of regional asset management. Meanwhile, there are challenges either in meeting or to implement processes clarity to achieve an optimizing on regional assets management. The perspective of implementing <IR> for regional asset reporting is needed because of the role of the model in achieving organizational value, social and environmental accountability by reporting mechanism. Contribution: Result of research can be used as insight to implement the optimizing on regional asset management as well as in achievement sustainable regional asset management.
