Abstract

The KKN program is an effort to develop student creativity in helping and jumping directly to the problems that exist in society. That problem, including the lack optimal functioning of posyandu, such as recording and reporting of data that is still manual, lack of funds, and lack of cadre knowledge in Giving Additional Foods (PMT) varies. The community service activities are part of KKN activities many of 12 people  consisting of the Faculty of Government and Social Sciences, MIPA Faculty, Food Engineering Faculty, and Psychology Faculty. This activity was held in October until November 2018 in Pasawahan village. This activity is in the form of various training for cadres, such as training for the use of the iposyandu application for recording and reporting data during posyandu activities, training on Additional Food Making (PMT) to be given to toddlers who come to Posyandu as well as business fund training and sponsorship. Cadres were given a pretest and posttest before and after the training was given. With the implementation of various trainings, cadre knowledge and skills are improving in managing and implementing posyandu activities.

Abstract

One of surveillance quality is the data should be usefull for prevention and disease control as wellas detecting pattern or trend. This only can be done if the data have analyzed. Map is one of dataanalyzing which is important to draw disease distribution. In this training, Primarly health caresurveillance officer are expected to know and able to make simple map with GeospatialInformation System (GIS) software. This activity is software using training using free software epiinfo version 7.2 by CDC where previously the participants have given brief material about GIS inthe field of health. Observation was conduct to see if there are increasing of skill for makingdigital map. The participants also given a modul to help them re-learning after completion of theactivity. Based on the observation during training, participant looked enthusiastic and active inasking questions. For observation results, it showed increasing 100% of skill for creating mapswhereareas berfore workshop there are no participant who experienced for making digital maps.Over all, this training is effective to provide refreshing and knowledge in the field of informationtechnology that supports health data processing and analyzing in Puskesmas.

Abstract

Availability and understanding about the importance of spatial data, especially Village Maps, forrural communities are still minimum. Ngargosari Village, a village in Samigaluh District, KulonProgo Regency, was almost never used spatial data or maps to support the development.Whereas, UU 6 of 2014 concerning Villages states that Village Maps are the basis of informationand support systems in policy making. Village Map is a basic thematic map that containselements and information such as regional boundaries, roads/ infrastructure, topography,waters, facilities, and land use, which were presented in image maps, maps of facilities andinfrastructure, as well as land cover maps and land use (Perka BIG No. 3 in 2016 concerningTechnical Specifications for Presentation of Village Maps). Therefore, this community serviceaims to emphasize an understanding of the importance of Geospatial Information. Thecommunity is involved in making Village Maps through participatory mapping. The methods thatwere used are a remote sensing approach, field survey, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD)involving the Village Head, Village Officials, Hamlet Heads and Community Leaders. The resultsof this service are in the form of a map of the image of the Ngargosari Village which containsinformations about the boundaries of the village administration and hamlets, and also regionalfacilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Smart concepts into tourism destinations are dynamically embraced to connect stakeholders through technology platforms where information related to tourism activities can be exchanged directly. Instant information exchange has also created a huge data collection known as Big Data which may be computationally analyzed to reveal patterns and trends. Smart Tourism Destinations must make optimum use of Big Data by offering services that are suitable for the preferences of the user at the right time. In this connection, this paper aims to understand the contribution of how smart Tourism Destinations can potentially enhance the tourism experience through offering more personalized products or services to meet each visitor's unique needs and preferences. By using the skinative method and descriptive approach and the sample was taken through purposive sampling, the companies engaged in the tourism sector obtained the following research results: Understanding the needs, desires and desires of travelers became increasingly important for the competitiveness of tourism destinations. Therefore, the findings in this study are expected to be very beneficial for the number of tourism destinations.

Abstract

Community Service Activities in 2018 have been implemented in Soropati Village, Hargotirto, Kokap, Kulon Progo. The purpose of this activity was to provide information on the maintenance and formation of rabbit farmer groups by involving the academics of the Diploma in Animal Health Program, Department of Biological and Veterinary Technology, Vocational School, Gadjah Mada University with Animal Health Centre in Kokap so that a better  communication between academics, officers, and breeders community should be conducted well. The activity is carried out by providing information and training transfers regarding the management of rabbit maintenance including rabbit species, housing management, feed, and breeding. The implementation of this program was carried out by giving professional speech and interactive discussions then comparative studies to rabbit farmers who had been successful, counseling and fostering. The result of this activity is that the Mantep Makaryo farmer group has been formed which is engaged in the maintenance and cultivation of rabbits. Development of sustainable breeders needs to be carried out to improve health management and the development of rabbit farms.

Abstract

This article reviews descriptively the empowerment model of education of cultural heritage management in Yogyakarta for partners of two faith-based youth organizations in two sub-districts in Yogyakarta City, Yogyakarta Special Region. These two sub-districts chosen as the location of this community service because in each sub-district there is a local potential to be developed as a heritage tourism attraction. In Ngampilan, located center for souvenirs of bakpia which is a typical food of Yogyakarta, while in Kraton there is a toponym of the servants' kampongs of Yogyakarta Sultanate and other heritage building related with Yogyakarta Sultanante. Both if developed tour packages will be very worthy of selling for tourists visiting Yogyakarta. If tourists come to bakpia center Patuk is expected not only to buy souvenirs, but also to take the time to join the walking tour package to know the history of Patuk village that grows as a bakpia center, and if tourists go to Kraton not only visit Yogyakarta Palace, but also enjoy biking tours around the Kraton while knowing the names of the villages that surround the Yogyakarta Kraton complex. The two target group of people empowered were chosen because as a youth organization, it is necessary to develop productive economic activities that are beneficial to the aouthonomy of members and organizations while maintaining cultural preservation in the local environment around their homes. The program model offered in this article is tourism management training, which consists of concept design, marketing (branding and promotion) through direct and internet use, and operational implementation of heritage tourism packages based on local potential in each sub-district.

Abstract

The community engagement programme of Solar Power Plant (PLTS) installation as an electrical energy source for broiler farming society business in Jakenan Subdistrict, Pati District, Central Java Province has been done. The aims of this programme helped the broiler farming society in that Subdistrict to increase their business production by utilizing the PLTS technology. The implementation of this community engangement was carried out by giving an example to install, maintain, utilize, and develop of PLTS system in one of the broiler cage. This programme was done from April 2018 until September 2018 continously. The result of this programme was installed the 3 x 100 wp PLTS system in one of the cage as an example. Furthermore, the broiler farming society in Jakenan Subdistrict, Pati District, Central Java Province were understood and abled to applicating the PLTS technology to increase their broiler business productivity.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the country which has its residents migrates overseas. Indonesian Migrant Labors reflects the nation, but in reality they came from the less educated and less skilled part of the Indonesian population. The aim of this activity is to give insight, experience, and accompaniment toward the female workforces in Hong Kong in order to develop their skills in creating creative food processing products that will become their provisions in entrepreneurship. The target of this activity is the Indonesian Migrant Labors in Hong Kong of 200 people. Methods of activity consist of lectures, brain-storming, discussion, games, demonstration, and direct practices to create food products of “bakso”  and “tekwan”. Steps of Activity consist of preparation, execution, and evaluation. This Community Service was successfully performed by improving the materials of entrepreneurship motivation, entrepreneurship creativity, designing business development, and practices of making various products of bakso and tekwan. The reflection result showed that this activity truly helped the participants in improving their confidence, knowledges, and insights, useful as a business provision when they come back to Indonesia, and also became their medium for self-improvement so they have a skill to be proud of. The responses of participants toward the training activity is on the very good category, shown by the material aspect, program targets, time efficiency, instructor’s ability, means, staff services, and benefits for the participants.

Abstract

Sinan Village is located in Karangbinangun Subdistrict, Lamongan city, which is experiencing a shortage of clean water. The main source of water for the people in that village is originated from river water of Bengawan Solo branches which is mixed with pond water and is collected in a pond. The results of the pH, turbidity and TDS tests that have been carried out show that the Bengawan Solo water does not meet WHO's clean water standards and the standard from Ministry of Health. In this study, the design of the river and pond water filtration control system in the reservoir was carried out. The designed filtration system consists of the deposition stage and filtering stage. Deposition stage is carried out by using alum as a purifying medium and aims to simplify the screening phase. While the screening stage is carried out using stone, sand, charcoal and palm fiber which aims to increase the pH value and reduce the value of turbidity and TDS. The system is designed in a modular manner between each filtration stage to fascillitate the maintenance process of the system and flushing the remaining deposits produced by the filtration process. Testing result of this system is done by varying the variables of volume and height of sand used and it is known that the difference in sand volume used has a significant effect on the levels of TDS, Turbidity, and pH of the resulting clean water.

Abstract

Pegerharjo Village is a Development Village of the Management Study Program of the Department of Economics and Business, UGM Vocational School. This village is a tourist village with local contents, the implementation of which is carried out by the community, especially by the Working Group of mothers, and Karang Taruna. This area is known as the tourist village called Nglinggo Tourism Village. Pagerharjo Village also has plans to develop and develop other village tourism objects to be carried out in 10 locations supported by the stipulation of the Pagerharjo Village Regulation No. 6 of 2017 concerning Review of Pagerharjo Village Medium Term Development Plan for 2014-2019. The development and development of tourism objects in Pagerharjo Village is expected to be able to increase competitiveness and attract more tourists in accordance with the carrying capacity they have. One of the problems faced is how to increase economic empowerment through land use to support tourism development in Pagerharjo Village. It will be endeavored by developing the Nglinggo tourist village, equipped with Rest Area and a place where you can select or display photos. The Segitik Rest area is one of the development locations located in the Tanah Kas Desa which is an asset of the government of the Pagerharjo Village. The location will be developed to become the center of the people's economy to support the development of Nglinggo Tourism Village. The dedication team will assist Pagerharjo Village with training in the cultivation of soil orchids / slices and support the development of tourism in Pagerharjo Village. The orchid cultivation is planted and developed in the rest area of Segitik to become an orchid garden. The community and the Government of Pagerharjo Village are very supportive and enthusiastic in participating in the training and mentoring
