This study aims to explore the role of teachers and parents in realizing a character generation in the midst of digital development. This study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach with the library research method. Data is collected from primary and secondary sources such as research reports in international and national journals, proceedings articles, and books. The data analysis technique uses descriptive content analysis by selecting, processing, and describing the data findings into research results. The results of this study indicate that parents and teachers have the same role and have a great influence in implementing character education in the digital era, through programs developed in schools and monitoring, mentoring, and learning activities from parents to children at home. Abstract

Principals face various problems, including the lack of disciplined educators and the lack of principal communication with educators and teaching staff. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of school-based management (SBM) in improving the character quality of elementary school students. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentary studies. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative data analysis. The results showed the implementation of School-Based Management in forming student character. Program planning begins with various socializations at coordination meetings between schools, committees, and related parties. Student character formation can be formed by collaborating in each subject, namely applying discipline, good manners, and respect for others. One of the moral values teachers must instill in elementary school education is cultivating character values in students. The implementation of SBM is in line with the education decentralization policy that provides management autonomy according to its authority and provides good services to all internal and external interested parties in fulfilling the character of high-quality students for a nation.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of Civics' low character and student learning outcomes due to ineffective use of learning models and media. This study aims to analyze whether there is an effect of the VCT learning model assisted by audio-visual media on the character and learning outcomes of fifth-grade Civics students. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a post-test-only control group design. The research population was 170 students, with a sample of 74 students determined by group (intact group) with the Gugus random sampling technique. Student character data was collected by questionnaire, and an objective test collected student learning outcomes of Civics. The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and manova. The calculation results of the average character score of 85.10 are in the very good category. Civics learning outcomes of 81.90 are in the very good category, while the score obtained in the control class is the character score of 80.29, including the very good category. The Civics learning outcome score of 68.14 is in a good category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the VCT learning model assisted by audio-visual media positively affects fifth-grade Civics' character and learning outcomes. Therefore, the problem of the gap between the expectations of the 2013 curriculum and the facts in the field regarding the character and learning outcomes of Civics for fifth graders has been resolved by the VCT learning model assisted by audio-visual application media.

Abstract

The problem is that children's cooperative abilities are still low because teachers tend to give individual assignments and rarely give group assignments that allow children to work with their friends. This study analyzes social skill training on the ability to cooperate in group B Kindergarten children. This research is quasi-experimental research using a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The research population was 69 students—the sample with cluster random sampling technique. The sample of this study amounted to 33 students. The data on the results of the ability to work together was collected using observational techniques, which were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistics with a t-test. The results of the analysis obtained tcount = 23,425 while at the 5% significance level with dk = 31 the value of ttable = 2,039 so that tcount = 23,425 > ttable = 2,039. Based on the test, then H0 is rejected, which means that the HA hypothesis is accepted, which states that there is a significant effect between the group of children who receive social skills training and children who do not receive social skills training on children's cooperative abilities. The results showed a significant effect on cooperative skills between groups of children who received social skills training and those who did not receive social skills training on cooperative skills in Kindergarten.

Abstract

The discipline of children who have not been maximized indicates a lack of reinforcement of the moral and discipline aspects from an early age. This study analyzes the behavior contract technique on children's discipline attitudes. This research is a pre-experimental research type One group Pre-test-Post-test. The population of this study was children in group B, with four children as samples who were given treatment. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis through descriptive statistics includes mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and variance; inferential statistics include normality, homogeneity, and t-test. The results of the Pre-test normality test were obtained < (0.381). It was accepted, and the Post-test normality test was obtained < (0.381) it was accepted. The homogeneity test results = 1.8 < 9.28, categorized as homogeneous. Hypothesis test results t-count = 9, smaller than the t-table that is 2.446. This shows that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It is a finding that explains the influence of behavior contract techniques on children's discipline. Thus, the behavior contract technique positively affects the child's disciplinary behavior. This research implies that the behavioral contract technique is appropriate as an alternative to stimulate disciplinary behavior in early childhood.
