Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the inhibiting factors and forms of empowerment of corn farmers by Stakeholders in nagari Kataping Kecamatan Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. The backround of this research is that there are still many nagari Kataping communities who do not yet know how to process corn after harvest. This research uses qualitative research methods with descriptive type. The technique of this research is purposive sampling. The informants of this guidelines the form of structured questions and documentation. Data validity test in this study uses data source triangulation techniques because the comparison and back-checking of the degree of information obtained through different sources. Data analysis techniques throught three stages, namely the stage of data reduction, the stage of data presentation, and the stage of drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the forms of empowerment of corn farmers by Stakeholders and the inhibiting factors for the cultivation of corn farmers by Stakeholders in the nagari Kataping Kecamatan Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman.

Abstract

This article aims to determine the effectiveness, constraints faced by Duta Genre in socialize Genre Program BKKBN in Padang City. As well as knowing how far the role of government overcome the genre ambassador problem in socialize genre BKKBN program. This research uses a qualitative approach which is interpreted as a research resulting in a descriptive form of words that can be observed and directed to the background individually and in society. A qualitative research approach is a complex, in-depth approach. The informant is derived from the management of the generation planning Program, including Kasubid area of population control, counseling and mobilization DP3AP2KB Kota Padang, and from the Genre ambassadors. Based on the results of the study, the genre ambassadors in socialize BKKBN program in Padang City can be said to be effective. Padang City people feel the benefits of the presence of the genre ambassadors in socialize Genre BKKBN program. The changes that occurred after the ambassador genre can also be seen from the problem of young marriage, Napza, free sex, and readiness of human resources who are ready to receive the BKKBN program through the genre ambassadors by proving the public can Overcome obstacles. But there is still a shortage in the implementation of the genre ambassador activities in socialize Genre BKKBN program is weak supervision done to the event of the ambassador of the genre itself.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the workload influential on the performance of nagari government apparatus in nagari financial management in Tanah Datar Regency. The background of this study was carried out because of the excessive workload received by the nagari government apparatus in nagari financial management in Tanah Datar Regency. This study uses a quantitative methods with population of this study was all nagari government apparatus, which numbered 600 people. Sample in this study was consisted of 248 nagari government apparatus determined with Slovin formula. Besides, sample in this study was determined through Multistage Random Sampling technique. The data was collected through questionnaires using Likert scale measurement. The data was analyzed with multiple linear regression tests. The results of this study showed that the workload variable (simultaneously) influenced the performance of nagari government apparatus in financial management in Tanah Datar Regency. This it could be concluded that workload had a significant effect on the performance of nagari government apparatus in nagari finance management in Tanah Datar Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by the Padang city BPBD in managing temporary evacuation sites. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The results of this study indicate that the strength of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in the City of Padang in managing this temporary evacuation site is to have a legal basis such as a Decree issued by the Padang BPBD Chief of Management in conducting management, law number 24 of 2007 concerning countermeasures disaster and lau number 28 of 2002 concerning building. As for the Weaknesses faced are human resources and the limited budges for managing temporary evacuation sites. Then what becomes an opportunity is that the existence of the legal basis provides an opportunity to collaboration with other organizations in evaluating the management of temporary evacuations sites. Furthermore, the threat faced is the presence of irresponsible people who take electrical equipment arround the temporary evacuations site

Abstract

This study tried to investigate whether the use of cooperative learning model of Make A Match type could increase the learning activity of students in the class XI IS of SMAN 2 Batusangkar. This research is qualitative and carried out in class XI IS of SMAN 2 Batusangkar in the academic year 2017/2018. The study was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data of the student activities was obtained from observer using observation sheet. The finding of this study indicated that Civics learning using coopertive learning models of type Make A Match could improve the student activities in civics learning at the class XI IS of SMAN 2 Batusangkar. Learning activities of the students in the second cycle had increased significantly. Based on the finding of this study, it is concluded that learning by using cooperative learning model of Make A Match type could improve the civics learning activities in the classroom XI IS of SMAN 2 Batusangkar.

Abstract

As many as 56.46% of cases of violations of children's rights are sexual crimes and the rest is physical violence and child abuse. This research uses descriptive qualitative research case. Informants in this study were determined by purposive sampling, several research informants namely the Head of the Protection of Women's Rights and Child Protection in the Office of the Women's Empowerment Office for Child Protection, Population and Family Planning Control and the Office of Education for violence against children in the context of sexual violence every year is always increasing. The results of this study indicate that the strategies and efforts of the Women's Empowerment Office for Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) in providing protection and prevention of sodomy victims to elementary school students in the city of Padang can be said to be quite good and but not yet comprehensive in minimizing cases. The strategies used by the P3AP2KB Office have generally been planned and ordered according to stages. However, the strategy used was not optimal due to the inaccurate targeting of the strategy used by the Padang City P3AP2KB Office.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of policy implementation on the performance of nagari apparatus in nagari financial management in Pasaman Regency. This research was motivated by the lack of implementation of policies on nagari financial management in Pasaman Regency. This study used a quantitative research method conducted on 12 nagari in Pasaman Regency with a population of 96 consisting of walinagari, nagari secretary, three heads of affairs and three section heads. While the number of samples as many as 88 respondents were determined using the Slovin formula. In this study data collection used a Likert Scale with data collection techniques using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The results of this study show that partially the communication sub-variables have an effect of 20.5%, sub-variables of resources by 2.6%, sub-disposition variables by 17.1% and sub-variables of birourism structure by 13.5% on the performance of nagari financial management . While simultaneously the policy implementation variables provide a significant influence on the performance of nagari financial management in Pasaman District with a simultaneous influence of 12.8%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats encountered by the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in carrying out disaster risk reduction in the Padang City. The method used in the study is descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation studies. Data were analyzed using SWOT analysis. This research shows that the strengths are, PMI has reliable personnel and specialists in their fields, PMI has a stable procedure and system, PMI has its own law, namely Law No. 1 of 2018 and Government Regulation No. 7 of 2019. The disadvantage is that PMI is a voluntary organization so that in carrying out its duties PMI cannot be too forced and not too binding, PMI does not have a budget for risk reduction so it is difficult to carry out operational activities, infrastructure and equipment in PMI are incomplete, PMI personnel quantity still less especially the stanbey at headquarters. The opportunity that PMI has in carrying out disaster risk reduction, namely PMI, has gained trust from the government, the PMI name is quite good in the government and society. The threat is that community participation is still lacking when conducting socialization activities on disaster risk reduction, PMI is used as political land by certain elements of the external PMI, causing internal conflicts and influencing PMI's performance. The efforts made by PMI in conducting disaster risk reduction in the Padang City by conducting a new volunteer open recruitment if the volunteers have begun to be less active, provide training in advance to the team that will take to the field to provide socialization so that it is more prepared and the information delivered is more dense and quality, maintaining communication with the same stakeholders engaged in disaster management, conducting regular and periodic meetings to maintain communication and facilitating coordination among fellow stakeholders, calling on the public to always participate in socialization activities or simulations held by PMI and other stakeholders. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of work spirit on the performance of nagari apparatus in Nagari financial management in Pesisir Selatan Regency. The background of this research is due to the low work spirit of Nagari apparatus in Koto XI Tarusan and Bayang subdistrict which is still so that it has an impact on Nagari financial management that is not optimal. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with the form of associative research. The population in this study was of Nagari devices in Koto XI Tarusan and Bayang Subdistrict, totaling 140 respondents. The sample in this study consisted of 126 Nagari devices which were determined using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5% and the sampling technique using the Proportionate Stratifed Random Sampling technique. Data collection technique in this study are using questionnaires distributed to respondents with measurement using a Likert scale. The data obtained are then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that the work spirit variable (simultaneously) has a significant effect on the performance of nagari apparatus in nagari financial management with a significance value of 0,000 and the value of Adjust R Square 0.295. Thus, the influence of work spirit on the performance of nagari devices in managing nagari finances is 29.5%. While the remaining 70.5% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
