Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the profile of digital literacy and student collaboration skills in the online science learning on chapter Interaction of Living Things with the Environment. This research was a descriptive qualitative and conducted from October to November 2019. The instruments were a questionnaire and observation sheet. Both instruments are used to measure the level of digital literacy and collaboration skills. The results obtained were that the students' digital literacy levels were divided into three categories, namely high 69%, medium 18%, and low 13%. Meanwhile, the level of student collaboration skills is also divided into three categories, namely high 72%, medium 23%, and low 7%. The indicators and the item questions from the questionnaires and from the observation sheets can be used as a basis for further research. The conclusion of this research is the digital literacy skill and collaborative skill in the high level with the score of questionnaires and observation sheet.

Abstract

This paper in the form of classroom action research aims to improve the mathematics learning achievement of grade 6 students at SD Negeri 02 Penakir by using the train props for volume units. The learning improvement setting is for grade 6 students in the 1st semester of Mathematics at SD Negeri 02 Penakir, Pemalang Regency where the researcher teaches. This classroom action research consists of 2 cycles in one basic competency. During the learning process, observations were made on the performance of the teacher as a researcher, and an assessment was made of students through test sheets. Other findings during the learning process were discussed between the researcher and the observer, equipped with data from observations made by reflection at each meeting. The results of the research in the first cycle and the second cycle showed an increase in student learning achievement. The results of the assessment of student learning achievement are the First cycle: 70.8 with 68% learning completeness, in the second cycle: 82 with 88% learning completeness. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning process using the volume unit train props in mathematics can improve the learning outcomes of students in Class 6 SD Negeri 02 Penakir, Pemalang Regency.

Abstract

These classroom action research aims: To improve student learning outcomes using Powtakon kardus media. The research setting was grade V students of SDN 2 Kembang Jepara for the 2019/2020 academic year. This study consisted of 2 cycles in one basic competency. The research begins with compiling a lesson plan, making observation sheets and other research instruments. During the learning process, observations were made on the performance of the teacher as a researcher, and an assessment was made of students through test sheets. Other findings during the learning process were discussed between the researcher and the observer, equipped with data from observations made by reflection at each meeting. The results of research in cycle 1 and cycle 2 showed an increase in student learning outcomes. The student learning outcomes are in cycle 1 an average of 66.33 with learning completeness 40%, in cycle 2 an average of 81.27 with learning completeness 86.67%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning process using powtakon kardus media can improve student learning outcomes in Class V SDN 2 Kembang Jepara for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

This school action research aims to improve the 4C skills (critical thinking, creativity, communication, creativity and innovation, collaboration) of teachers with digital literacy application activities at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo. The research setting was the subject teacher at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo in the 2020/2021 school year. As research subjects are teachers, the principal at the junior high school is a researcher and assisted by an observer. This study consisted of 2 cycles. During the application of digital literacy activities, observations were made of teacher performance through observation, sociometry, and questionnaire sheets. Other findings during the course of the action were discussed between the researcher and the observer, equipped with data from the observations that were carried out by reflection in each cycle. The results of the study in cycle 1 and cycle 2 showed an increase in the 4C skills of teachers. The results of observations, sociometry, and questionnaires on the 4C skills of the teacher showed that in cycle 1 the average critical thinking score was 76%, creativity 76%, communication 75%, creativity and innovation 76%, 76% collaboration on good criteria and in cycle 2 average critical thinking score 87%, creativity 85%, communication 86%, creativity, and innovation, collaboration 84% on very good criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to create a practical tool for hydrostatic pressure material, increasing student motivation, and learning outcomes. The lack of student motivation, namely the desire to learn science subjects and the learning outcomes of hydrostatic pressure material is caused by several factors, one of which is the lack of teaching aids or practical tools for hydrostatic pressure material. The study was conducted using a one-group pre-test – post-test trial design, while the development of the Egg Cannon Kit used the ASSURE model which consisted of 6 stages, namely Analyzer learner characteristic, (2) State standard and performance objective, (3) Select methods, Media, and materials, (4) Utilize technology, media, and materials, (5) Require learner participation and (6) Evaluation and revision. The research on the development of the Egg Cannon Kit was tested on 8E grade students consisting of 32 students with heterogeneous compositions. The use of the Egg Cannon Kit in learning can increase students' learning motivation in this case the student's desire to learn about science subjects, especially hydrostatic pressure material by 43.36% and increase learning outcomes with an average n-gain of 0.8 in the high category.

Abstract

The problem to be solved in this research is how to increase the learning motivation of students who are decreasing in online learning in Sciences subjects. This study aims to describe the implementation of online learning using the practical method and to find out the extent to which this method can increase students' learning motivation. The research method used classroom action research type experiment with the Kemmis-Taggart model in two cycles. Practicum in online learning is carried out at the home of each student using tools and materials at home and in the surrounding environment without leaving the learning objectives in basic competencies. Practical guides, student worksheets, and student responses to learning methods were made using Google Form. Activities and work results in the form of answers to conceptual questions and photos or videos of experimental activities are monitored with a Google Spreadsheet linked to the Google Form. Online learning with the practicum method has been able to increase the learning motivation of students with an indicator of an increase in the number of students who take part in the online learning  from 30% to 50%, and an increase in mastery of the concept of subject matter with an increase in the average value of learning outcomes from 37.2 to 74.38 in cycle I and 80.67 in cycle II.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Two Stay Two Stray  terhadap hasil belajar matematika materi bangun ruang siswa kelas II SD 1 Barongan Kabupaten Kudus. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi-experimental dengan bentuk nonequalivalent control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan sampling jenuh karena jumlah populasi relatif sedikit. Hasil analisis   n-gain menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas kontrol memperoleh 0,29 dengan kriteria kurang sedangkan kelas eksperimen dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray  mendapatkan 0,39 dengan kriteria sedang. Hasil Uji t menunjukkan nilai thitung = 2,104 sedangkan ttabel = 2,001 atau  thitung > ttabel dan signifikansinya sebesar 0,040 sehingga H0 ditolak. Uji regresi linear model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray  terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa materi bangun ruang sebesar 89,3%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar materi bangun ruang antara siswa pada kelas kontrol tanpa penerapan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray  dan kelas eksperimen dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray, (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan hasil belajar materi bangun ruang pada kelas eksperimen dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray.

Abstract

Mind mapping based learning is learning to use keyword, terms, images/symbols, describing the integrity of a material. This learning can encourage students to develop thinking technique in all directions, remembering, taking notes, increasing motivation and being able to deduce the results well. The ability of students to think critically and creatively, communicate and collaborate are abilities  that  must be developed from an early age to enter global competition. This paper aims to describe the science based on mind mapping in developing critical thinking, creative, communicative, and collaborative skills; as well as knowing the development of critical thinking, creative, communicative, and collaborative skills through mind mapping science learning. The form of research is classroom action research carried in 2 cycles using non-test instrument namely observation and interview sheets. The data obtained were processed descriptively using percentage analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, mind mapping based learning can arouse motivation and interest in learning, communicating and collaborating, more constructing knowledge, learning easier. Mind mapping based science learning can develop critical and creative thinking skills respectively by 35%, communicative 40%, and collaborative by 35%.

Abstract

Activity-based learning is a student-centered learning process that involves mental and psychological aspects through a variety of experiences. This study used GAPTEK visualization, namely physical activities of lining, cutting, pasting, and calculating. The purpose of this study was to describe how activity-based learning of fraction operation material using GAPTEK visualization, to find out how much the percentage of student positive responses, and the effectiveness of the learning in grade 7 students of SMP Negeri 3 Kepil. The research method uses quasi-experimental research with data collection in the form of learning outcomes tests, observations and questionnaires. A significance value of 0.895> 0.05 indicates that the two groups are normally distributed and homogeneous. The significance value of the difference is 0.569> 0.05 which indicates that there is no difference between the pretest mean of the control and experimental groups. The learning description shows that students are actively involved in group discussions and share roles. The average percentage of students' positive responses related to activity-based learning about fraction operations using GAPTEK visualization was 95.3%. Activity-based learning has been effectively used, which is shown by the experimental class average of 74.33 exceeding the value of 70.00, and exceeding the average control class, namely 56.00. The difference in the increase in the average pretest and posttest experimental class was 37.33, more than the difference in the control class of 21.00.

Abstract

The rapid development of informatics and computer (ICT) techniques has an impact on education today. On the other hand, the changing paradigm of education that used to embrace teacher-centered learning into student-centered learning has brought significant changes to the learning methods developed today. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of problem-based learning models assisted by Edmodo social networking site on critical thinking skill and student learning outcomes. This research was conducted in class VIII of SMP Negeri 6 Jepara in the odd semester of 2019/2020 Academic Year on the material of pressure and its application in daily life. The research design used was the pre-test and post-test control group design. Data retrieval is done by observation, documentation and tests. The results showed that the value of tcount  critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes > ttable value (1.99). The value of tcount critical thinking skills and learning outcomes respectively is 11.12 and 2.757. The result of this study concluded that the problem based learning model supported by Edmodo’s social networking site is effective to improve critical thinking skills and students learning outcomes.
