Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the problems of learning dance subjects in elementary schools. The lack of teacher understanding and the lack of infrastructure are obstacles to the creativity of students to master dance subject matter. Therefore, this study aims to describe the creative dance movement skills by applying the Quantum Teaching model to the fifth grade students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 19 North Pontianak. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with the type of research is descriptive. In this study, the researcher as a research instrument is directly involved in activities that occur in the field. Apart from being a research instrument, the researcher is also a planner, implementer, data collector, analyzer and data reporter. The research location is Sekolah Dasar Negeri 19 North Pontianak. The results showed that the application of the Quantum Teaching approach to the dance movements created by the fifth grade students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 19 Pontianak Utara was successful and was in accordance with the learning objectives. These results were observed when students demonstrated creative dance movements. Students who were previously unenthusiastic become enthusiastic after being placed in groups to take of learning dance in the class.

Abstract

This study aims to implement an assessment for learning oriented to higher order thinking skills to stimulate students' numeracy literacy skills. The research design used a pretest-posttest control group. The research sample involved two groups of students from twelve groups of eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung through random sampling. The data collection instruments were in the form of numeracy literacy skills test instruments and numeracy literacy skills observation instruments. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively with independent sample t test. The results of data analysis showed that the observation of students' numeracy literacy skills in the two experimental classes was categorized as "very high" with an average breakdown of 81,44% for the experimental class 1 and 81,93% for the experimental class 2, while the student's numeracy literacy proficiency test obtained a value of Sig (2-tailed)  < 0,05, namely Sig (2-tailed) = 0,000 which means that the hypothesis test is declared to reject H0 and accept H1. It can be concluded that the assessment for learning oriented to higher order thinking skills is effective in stimulating students' numeracy literacy skills.

Abstract

Education is a medium of transfer of knowledge which is very important for sustain a nation. The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in early 2020 made the concept hampered. The learning from home situation that suddenly makes Covid-19 information cannot be conveyed optimally to students. Through the Covid-19 statistical-assisted information service, the concept of understanding Covid-19 and numeracy literacy can be done at one time. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The research subjects were students of grades 8H and 8I totaling 63 students. Data collection methods used are questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Questionnaire data obtained through google form showed that 98.4% of students stated that they understood the information conveyed better. Based on interviews, students stated that the delivery of information using statistical data was more interesting and clear than accessing it independently. During the activity, students seemed more interested and paid close attention to the information. Based on the results obtained, the implementation of Covid-19 statistical-assisted information services can be said to have succeeded in increasing students' understanding of Covid-19 and training students in numeracy literacy during the pandemic.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is improving the Basic and Technology Literacy skills of VIII I SMPN Unggulan through Drawing Animations. This study used Qualitative Research Methods in the form of Classroom Action Research. The subject amounted 33 people. The techniques of collecting data were Observation Sheets, Product Assessment Sheets, Questionnaire Test. The results on the ability of Basic Literacy in Cycle I produced a concept map, the average score was 79, the highest score was 90, the lowest score was 75, 61% passed. In Cycle II, it produced Storyline the average score of 89, the highest score of 98, the lowest score of 80, 100% passed, student’s produced an Animation Drawing the average score is 89, the highest score is 98, the lowest score is 80, 100% passed. Cognitive learning outcomes in Cycle I the average score is 79, the highest score is 98, the lowest score is 38, 67% passed, in Cycle II the average score is 84, the highest score is 98, the lowest score is 63, 82% passed. The students'attitudes were 4 people high, 19 people moderate, 7 people low appreciation. This research proves by making an Animation Drawing, students'Basic and Technology Literacy abilities increased.

Abstract

The occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic that lasted more than a year had a tremendous influence in the learning process, so distance learning must be done. Various problems that arise in the implementation of PJJ, efforts are needed to overcome it. The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of the use of flipbook teaching materials with the google classroom platform in distance learning in the dynamics material of Pancasila realization. The research method used is a descriptive method, which describes the implementation of distance learning with the use of flipbook teaching materials. Flipbook teaching materials embedded in the google classroom platform as LMS (Learning Management System) have an attractive look, easy to use, easy to understand subject matter, contains clear text and images displayed supporting the understanding of the subject matter. The excess use of flipbook teaching materials based on the results of the questionnaire shows the predicate of good judgment, as well as the level of understanding of learners of the subject matter obtained an average value above KKM.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic brings its own challenges in implementing the learning process. Constraints are encountered in learning electrical materials. Students cannot directly interact, explore, and construct knowledge as is usually done in the classroom. Teachers with all the available potential try to create learning conditions at home only and can achieve optimal learning goals. The objectives of this study are to 1) describe the STEAM-based electric house learning; 2) knowing the increase in critical thinking skills of students through STEAM-based electric house learning; 3) knowing the increase in student learning outcomes through STEAM-based electric houses learning. The subjects in this study were 16 grade VI students of SD Negeri Gentan 01, Bendosari District, Sukoharjo Regency, semester I of the 2020/2021 school year. This research is part of the best learning experiences in the Covid-19 pandemic era. The results of this study are: 1) a description of the STEAM-based electric house learning which is proven to be effective in increasing learning interest, motivation, and student activity in learning at home; 2) Increased critical thinking skills from the classical average score of 38,59 increased to 77,19 in the good category; 3) The increase in student learning outcomes from the average classical value before the application of STEAM-based electric houses learning was 69,06, increasing to 85, resulting in an increase of 15,94.

Abstract

The scientific literacy of Indonesian children in recent years has been classified as low and ranked at the bottom among other developing countries. This study aims to determine the scientific literacy competence of students in the interaction of living things and ecosystems subject at Junior High School 43 Rejang Lebong which is a 3T predicate school. The research method is descriptive quantitative, begins with designing test questions based on scientific literacy with 13 students as research subjects, consisting of 7 female and 6 male students. Data analysis was carried out in several stages begin with validation of questions, scoring, and analysis of scientific literacy competency achievements. This study concludes that the scientific literacy ability of students at Junior High School 43 Rejang Lebong is obtained in a low category in 3 aspects of literacy, namely, explaining scientific phenomena, evaluating and designing scientific investigations, and interpreting data and evidence scientifically.

Abstract

This research is about the integration of Computational Thinking (CT) in the EDP STEM learning model using SimSketch modeling to improve students' critical thinking skills on the concept of the excretory system. SimSketch is a drawing and modeling tool. The research subjects were 8th graders. The research instruments were student worksheets and CT-integrated learning plans through SimSketch modeling, critical thinking skills tests, and questionnaires for students. This study found that the integration of CT with SimSketch modeling can be implemented in learning the concept of the excretory system. The findings of this study are that the integration of CT with SimSketch modeling can be implemented to increase motivation and demand for learning and students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the Integer Snakes and Ladders media in mathematics lessons on integer calculation material in grade VI elementary school. The subjects of this study were students of class VI Elementary School 11 Rantau Selatan totaling 30 people. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) research. Data validation was carried out by material experts and media experts, as well as by comparing student learning outcomes before and after using Integers Snakes and Ladders Media. The value of the media expert validation results at stage 1 was 70% with the "Good" category, while in stage II it was 90% with the "Very Good" category. The results of the validation of material experts in stage 1 were 72% in the "Good" category, while in stage II it was 88% in the "Very Good" category. The average student learning outcomes before using the media was 54.33%, after the trial of using the snake and ladder integer learning media in stage 1 it was 70%, and in stage II it was 82.66%. It can be concluded that the learning media for snakes and ladders integers is feasible and effective to use in learning integers in grade VI elementary school.

Abstract

The use of learning media games in learning mathematics can make students more interested and easy to understand concepts in mathematics lessons. The aim of this research is to produce a game to help students understand the gradient of a line through two points. The development of this game using the GeoGebra software version 5 uses the Thiagarajan 4D development research method which consists of four steps, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. To produce a game that is valid, practical, and effective, a series of trials are carried out, namely expert testing and development testing. The results of the validity test show the game's validity score is 3.76 with a very valid category. The practical test conducted on 5 students showed a 100% presentation in the very practical category. The effectiveness test using One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design shows that this media is effective in improving student learning outcomes.
