Abstract

El Niño is a climate phenomenon that occurs due to atmospheric circulation indicated by increasing sea surface temperatures. El Niño causes changes in weather patterns, including a significant decrease in rainfall, resulting in prolonged drought and a decrease in agricultural productivity, especially in tropical regions such as Indonesia. This study aims to explore the impact of El Niño on agricultural productivity and find effective solutions to overcome related problems. The method used in this study is library research to analyze various literature from various sources such as journals and official reports related to the research topic. The results of the study show that El Niño results in a decrease in agricultural productivity including crop yields of up to 40% in several regions. This has an impact on increasing food prices and dependence on imports, thus worsening food security in Indonesia. The application of efficient irrigation and the use of information technology can be a solution to overcome drought and manage air resources. Digital education also plays an important role in overcoming these conditions. In addition, collaboration between farmers, the government, and the technology sector needs to be carried out to maintain the sustainability of agriculture and food security in facing the challenges of global climate change. In conclusion, appropriate adaptation measures are needed to mitigate the negative impacts of El Niño on the agricultural sector and ensure sustainable food security.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse whether labour and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) have a positive influence on the manufacturing industry sector in Indonesia during the 2015-2020 period. The study utilises secondary data obtained from official publications by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), with the scope focusing on annual data. The approach used is a numerical method involving multiple linear regression analysis, where the predictor variables consist of labor and GDP, while the dependent variable is the manufacturing industry. The findings of the research indicate that, individually, there is a notable impact of labor on the manufacturing sector whereas GDP has no significant influence on the manufacturing industry. Overall, the independent variables studied were able to explain most of the variation in the performance of the manufacturing industry sector, although other influencing factors remain. These results carry significant consequences for decision-makers in formulating strategiesto maximize the contribution of labor and economic growth to the manufacturing industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Location and Satisfaction on Customer Loyalty at BRI Link Pinang Lombang Atas, Labuhan Batu Utara. The research employed a quantitative approach using questionnaires distributed to 55 respondents. Data were analyzed using SPSS through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that Location has a positive but not significant effect on Customer Loyalty. In contrast, Satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty. Simultaneously, Location and Satisfaction significantly influence Customer Loyalty with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.962. This implies that 96.2% of the variation in Customer Loyalty can be explained by Location and Satisfaction, while the remaining 3.8% is influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings highlight that customer Satisfaction is the dominant factor in shaping Loyalty, whereas Location serves as a supporting factor.

Abstract

In achieving national food security, the agricultural sector, particularly rice, plays a strategic role. However, there are several challenges in ensuring food security, such as climate change, land degradation, land conversion, and dependence on traditional farming methods. This study focuses on the development of a sustainable rice farming system with an emphasis on adopting modern technology, diversifying superior rice varieties, and strengthening policies and cross-sector collaboration. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through literature analysis. The results indicate that food sustainability can be achieved through improved production efficiency, better resource management, and enhancing technology accessibility for smallholder farmers. Recommendations include the implementation of holistic policies to support a sustainable rice farming system.
