This journal also provides opportunities for researchers and scholars from various disciplines of science who have new views and ideas to share with other academics, especially in matters that focus on tourism, culture and economic studies. Abstract

This research aims to determine the right strategy in managing the Mahakam River tourist destinations in an ecotourism. This is because the Mahakam River has the potential to be managed ecotourically, because in addition to nature tourism on the Mahakam River there are also dolphins, which are endemic animals of the Mahakam River which are currently small in number and included in the category of endangered animals. This research is a qualitative research with non probability sampling technique, then the data obtained are analyzed using SWOT analysis. The results of this study obtained several strategies that can be applied in the Mahakam River tourist destination to be managed ecotourism. These strategies include (1) conducting training on ecotourism for HR managing the Mahakam River, (2) minimizing the use of ships that produce a lot of air pollution, (3) organizing HR training for waste management, particularly in tourist sites and surroundings, (4) making the Mahakam River a conservation place for dolphins, (5) educating all parties, both managers and tourists, to care for the environment.

Abstract

Effect Of The Number Of Visitors Attraction At The Occupancy Hotel With Moderating Variables Of Rooms Are Available In Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta as a tourist city saves the potential of tourist visits which strongly supports the growth of the hospitality industry. With the potential of foreign and international tourist markets visiting existing tourist attractions, at least become a potential market niche in the hotel industry in the morning to increase occupancy hotels. Hotel expectations of tourist arrivals increase the optimism of hotel management that room occupancy rates will be met according to the planned budget. However, it needs to be measured how much the influence of foreign tourists and the archipelago on occupancy hotels, so the hotel management is not wrong in its planning. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant direct influence from foreign tourists on room occupancy rates, while domestic tourists have a significant direct influence on room occupancy rates. With moderating variables the number of rooms available, hence there is an increase in indirect influence of foreign and domestic tourists on the occupancy rate of hotel rooms in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.Keywords: hospitality industry, room occupancy rates, tourists

Abstract

The research was conducted to know development of tourism after Jamu Kiringan rural tourism was formed and strategy of management also to know the obstacles in management process. The research was conducted in Jamu Kiringan rural tourism on December 2018 to January 2019. Data were obtained from interview with 4 informants consist of informants of rural tourism management, informant of village official, informant of society who join to tourist activity and informant of society who not join to tourism activity. The research was also obtained from questionnaires that have been given a Likert Scale rating to 30 respondents. The sampling was done by Purposive Sampling technique. The analysis methods used in this research are data analysis from Miles and Huberman (reduction, display and conclusion drawing or verification), analysis of IFAS EFAS and SWOT matric analysis. The result of this research show calculation value of internal factors x is 0, 0857 and external factors y is 1, 4171. From the calculation of IFAS EFAS table show the x value and y value is positive same, so the position in quadrant 1 in SWOT analysis. It mean the position of Jamu Kiringan rural tourism profitable that have strength and opportunity, so it can cover weakness and threat and also take effect in management strategy in Jamu Kiringan rural tourism. In quadrant 1 produce Strength and Opportunity strategy (SO) consist of make Jamu Kiringan to be the best rural tourism in Bantul Regency with main attraction is Jamu, manage attraction products to be tour package with a varied composition, make a great herbal garden that contains various types of herbal plants, increase export quantity and international cooperation network and increase tourist visits because of the ease of access so that has an impact on the village economy.

Abstract

The development of tourism has experienced significant growth in the past decade. The growth of new tourist destinations in Indonesia adds to the diversity of destinations for tourist visits. A tourist village that highlights the uniqueness and distinctiveness of a village, one of the tourist destinations that is crowded with tourists today. The purpose of this study is to find out the attractiveness of tourists towards the sustainability of tourist villages Blue Lagoon. This study fully uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection is done by interviewing managers and visitors who are considered to be able to provide information about the availability of facilities, management of the tourist village of Blue Lagoon. The researcher also conducted direct observations in the field for one month, as well as collecting secondary data from related theoretical sources. Data collected, then interpreted according to the authenticity of the data obtained. The results of this study indicate that the tourist village of Blue Lagoon is visited by tourists because of the very natural environmental conditions and adequate facilities so that in the future managers pay more attention to the carrying capacity of the environment for sustainability.Keywords: Nature Tourism, Tourism Village, Environmental Conditions, Tourism Sustainability.

Abstract

Piyungan Bantul District, Yogyakarta has a very interesting natural tourism potential where there are many plants that can be developed into an attraction, one of which is located in the village of Wanojoyo Kidul, there is a tourist spot called Taman Bronjong. As the name implies, Bronjong is water retaining so that the land on the banks of the river is not eroded by river currents, especially in Kali Gawe. Taman Bronjong has direct views of the Bukit Bintang and has a child-friendly stream. The research method used in this research process is descriptive qualitative supported by quantitative data. The observations show that in this garden there are many plants that can be used for the manufacture of local beverage products such as lemongrass, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, kencur. With the potential possessed by Taman Bronjong, researchers aim to empower local plants as beverage products in order to develop tourist attraction in the area.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of marketing mix on purchasing decisions at PT. Tunas Indonesia Tours and Travel Yogyakarta branch. Marketing mix variables consist of 4 sub variables namely: Price (X1), Product (X2), Promotion (X3), and Place (X4). The population in this study is consumers who make purchases at PT. Tunas Tours and Travel Yogyakarta in 2016. Using non-random sampling method with purposive sampling technique with a sample of 100 respondents. In this study using is descriptive and quantitative using multiple linear regression method. The results showed that price and location or distribution variables have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. This is shown from the results of multiple linear regression test where both variables have P value less this of 5% and t arithmetic is greater t table. While the product and promotion variables have an insignificant effect on purchasing decisions. This is shown from the results of multiple linear regression test of these variables have a value of P value is greater of 5% significant. The test results simultaneously, show the marketing mix has a significant influence in purchasing decisions where the test results proved P value less this of 0.05 or 5%Keywords: product, price, place, promotion, purchasing decision

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the influence of traditional game media on the science process skills of children tourist in Pampang Gunungkidul Yogyakarta ecotourism village and (2) the influence of traditional game media on the social skills of children tourist in the Pampang Gunungkidul Yogyakarta ecotourism village. Research type used in this study is Research and Development. The data collection methods in this study used test, observation, documentation and also interviews. The test methods used in this study pre-test and post test in the form of multiple choice. The conclusions of this study are 1) learning media in the form of traditional games have an influence on science process skills. This is based on the t test carried out on the pre-test and post test data which shows that the velue of t table is 2.04841 while t arichmetic is -14.748. These result indicate that the value  of t table is greater t arithmetic thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence on social skills. This can be seen from the results of the social skills observation which show that tourist who have high social skills have a frequency of 16 people while tourists children who have low social skills have a frequency of 14 people.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Determine the influence of objects and tourist attractions on tourists visiting interests in the Kauman Gedhe Mosque in Yogyakarta. (2) Knowing the influence of the facility on tourists visiting interest in the Kauman Gedhe Mosque in Yogyakarta. (3) Knowing the effect of accessibility on tourists visiting interest in the Kauman Gedhe Mosque in Yogyakarta. This research was conducted by collecting data using direct observation and questionnaires to visiting tourists or tourists who had visited the Kauman Gedhe Mosque in Yogyakarta. The sampling technique uses Accidental Sampling, which is a sampling technique based on coincidence, that is, anyone who accidentally meets with a researcher can be used as a sample if the person who happens to be met by the researcher is suitable as a data source. The analysis was carried out with a quantitative approach with statistical analysis of multiple linear regression. Using a 4-point Likert scale measuring instrument. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, it can be seen that tourist objects and attractions have a positive effect on tourists visiting interest, but not significantly. Facilities have a positive and significant influence on tourists visiting interests. Accessibility has a positive effect on tourists visiting interest, but is not significant at 5%. However, if the value of 10%, the accessibility variable has a significant effect on tourists visiting interest in the Kauman Gedhe Mosque in Yogyakarta.Keywords: Yogyakarta Kaed Gedhe Mosque, Object and Attraction, Facilities, Accessibility, Visiting Interest.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of service quality in the form of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangibles to customer satisfaction in PT.Sriwijaya Air airline. The research data was collected from 100 respondents. The respondents of this research are Timor Leste students who are studying in Yogyakarta and have used PT. Sriwijaya Air. Using Pruposive Sampling method technique with certain consideration and giving questionnaires to every individual encountered with certain criteria. The data collection tools are questionnaires in the form of Likert Scale while the analytical tools of description and Multiple Linear Regression. Data processing is helped of SPSS program. The analysis results show (1) Quality of service which include reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangibles simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction at Sriwijaya Air . Partially there are only four variables that have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction are responsiveness (0.262), assurance (0.310), empathy (0.320) and physical evidence (0.757), while one other variable is reliability has no positive and significant effect -0.058) to customer satisfaction. (2) The research results show that 94% of the satisfaction of Sriwijaya Air airline customers is influenced by the quality of service consisting of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and physical evidence. The remaining 6% is the influence of other variables that are not examined such as price, cost, product quality and emotional.Keywords: service quality, customer satisfaction, sriwijaya airline.

Abstract

Historically until now, accessibility, especially transportation, has played an important role in tourism development. This study aims to identify tourists erceptions of tourist transportation (KM Sabuk Nusantara 66) as an attraction for tourists visiting the Kepulauan Seribu from the port of Sunda Kelapa. This study adopted a qualitative approach to triangulation data collection techniques. The research location was carried out at Sunda Kelapa Port, involving the ship captain (PT. Pelni) and the KSOP Sunda Kelapa Port staff. The number of samples determined using a purposive sampling technique. Meanwhile, tourists are determined by the judgmental sampling technique. This data collection was carried out for three months, from May to July 2018. This study found that the KM Sabuk Nusantara 66 Ship's feasibility is following tourists' perceptions based on 10 indicators of transportation factors to support tourism. This research can be used to suggest ship operators and destination managers' development improve service quality continuously. This study has limitations on the sample of transportation companies involved. Future research is expected to reach a wider sample or even reach other transportation types, such as tourist trains, tour buses, or even air transportation.
