Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of business mentoring in shaping the resilience of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in South Kalimantan after the COVID-19 pandemic, with business legality serving as a moderating variable. The pandemic has tested the endurance of the informal sector, particularly MSMEs lacking formal legal status. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 250 MSME actors in South Kalimantan through questionnaires and analyzed using SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that business legality—such as ownership of a Business Identification Number (NIB) or Micro and Small Business License (IUMK), P-IRT/BPOM certification, Intellectual Property Rights (trademark), and halal certification—has a positive and significant effect on MSME resilience. These legal recognitions serve as gateways to accessing financial support, ensuring operational sustainability, and creating partnership opportunities, among others. This study recommends strengthening MSME legalization programs as a strategic effort to enhance local economic resilience, emphasizing the critical role of human resources who provide mentoring to build the capacity of MSME actors in South Kalimantan

Abstract

Sustainable natural resource management is an important part of community economic development, especially in areas that depend on forest products. This study examines the public economic aspects of rattan management by the Social Forestry Business Group (KUPS) in Gohong Village, Central Kalimantan, as a community empowerment effort. The purpose of this study is to understand how the rattan management model implemented is able to improve community welfare while maintaining environmental sustainability through policies taken as one of the indicators of public economy. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was obtained through interviews with KUPS members and the Village Forest Management Agency (LPHD), direct observation of the rattan handicraft production process, and analysis of relevant policy documents. The results of the study show that rattan management by KUPS has had a very good impact on the local economy by creating business opportunities for the community, especially for women involved in the rattan handicraft industry. The shift in livelihoods from farming to rattan craftsmanship occurred as a result of the government's ban on forest burning. The rattan products produced are not only marketed at the local level but also penetrate the national market. In addition, the sustainability of this business is strengthened by the support of international grants and forest management policies that prevent over-exploitation. This study confirms that a community-based resource management model can be an effective strategy in community economic empowerment while maintaining ecological balance

Abstract

Competition in the culinary business sector is increasingly intense, especially among modern cafés and angkringan, compelling business actors to continuously improve product quality, service, and marketing strategies to attract and retain customers. One of the key factors influencing customer satisfaction is price, which not only serves as an indicator of transaction value but also closely relates to customers’ perception of quality and purchasing power. This study aims to analyze the effect of price on customer satisfaction at Angkringan Tempat Biasa Café, a culinary business that offers a simple yet comfortable dining experience. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing in-depth interviews with consumers and supporting documentation collected over one month at the research location. The results indicate that prices perceived as reasonable and commensurate with the quality of food, service, and ambiance significantly enhance customer satisfaction. Conversely, price discrepancies relative to perceived benefits have the potential to reduce satisfaction and divert customers to alternative options. These findings underscore the importance of appropriate pricing strategies as a crucial business approach to foster customer loyalty and sustain business viability amid fierce competition. This research also contributes to the advancement of marketing management and consumer behavior knowledge, particularly in the culinary business context. Therefore, the management of Angkringan Tempat Biasa Café can utilize the findings as a basis for evaluating and formulating pricing policies and improving service quality to meet customer expectations and maintain a competitive position in the market

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of financial literacy, financial inclusion, and digital payment adoption on the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Using a quantitative approach with primary data collected through structured questionnaires, the analysis reveals that while not all individual variables show significant effects, together they contribute meaningfully to improving MSME performance. The findings suggest that financial literacy alone is not sufficient unless supported by access to finance, appropriate digital tools, and practical implementation strategies. This emphasizes the need for a more integrated approach in empowering MSMEs, involving training, simplified financial processes, and the use of financial technology
