Abstract

In this paper, the writer aims to delineate the relationship between feminism, philosophy of science, and women’s language. In her description, the writer refers to scientific works about feminism, philosophy, language, and gender as well as her research about gossip, conducted for her Master’s degree at Universitas Katolik Indonesia (Unika) Atma Jaya, Jakarta. In this paper, the writer first discusses sex, gender, and feminism. Next, the writer describes the relationship between feminism and the philosophy of science. The writer later examines the relationship between feminism and language as well as studies about those topics. Later, the writer describes her research about gossip among female participants, conducted on the data from the U.S. TV series, Sex and the City, and based on the model of analysis proposed by Jennifer Coates. In the end, the writer states that feminism, a school of thought as well as a social, political, and cultural movement contesting the inequality of women, has developed from the thoughts of philosophers and later influenced the development of science and research about language and gender and that the use of language by women and the reality of women, formed by their use of the language, can hopefully be better understood and that this understanding can better help in the execution of researches about women’s language.

Abstract

This study explores the sexuality education that exists among adolescents. This sexuality education does not mean providing sex education to adolescents, but rather education related to the limits that adolescents allow in living life so that adolescents understand and do not fall into things that can destroy their future. In addition to adolescents, educators, teachers, and parents are also expected to be able to understand the importance of sex education in adolescents. This research uses a qualitative research approach to literature. The focus of this study is sex education delivered to adolescents. The source of this research data is sourced from the book of Tarbiyatul Aulad Fil Islam. The data analysis technique in this study is Contact Analysis. The result of this research is that in the Book of Tarbiyatul Aulad Fil Islam, it is explained that before an educator delivers sex education, the educator must first form his character following applicable norms. Among other things, it must be sincere, piety, knowledgeable, polite, and easy to forgive. sex education to adolescents in the form of ethics of asking permission to enter the room, ethics of seeing the opposite sex, keeping children away from behavior that invites martyrdom, educating sharia laws related to adolescence and adulthood, directing adolescents to be able to restrain themselves (from sexual desire) when unable to marry and educating children about marriage and sex.

Abstract

Representation of women in literature develops parallelly with the productivity of literary texts. This representation is inevitably intertwined with a discourse that cannot be separated from power relations. Thus, the position and identity of women are vulnerable to domination and subordination. However, women are constructed as subjects and objects, allowing negotiation and contestation to emerge. This article examines the problematic representation of women in Ratna Indraswari Ibrahim's text, "Tina is Just Silent (Tina Diam Saja)," by using Linda Hutcheon's analysis of the female subject in post-modernism discourse. This article reveals that Ibrahim's text produces and reproduces the complicated female subject dealing with power relations. Ibrahim's text provides space for the subject to contest and negotiates her position and identity. "She" offers a silent strategy for the contestation in the text. Therefore, the text allowed female subjects to be problematized by a representation of the consequences of gendered power.

Abstract

Problems that arise in adolescence include: problems related to physical and motor development, problems related to the development of social behavior, religious morality, and problems associated with the development of emotional personality. Unstable and uncontrollable emotional reactions and expressions during adolescence can have an impact on their personal and social life. Where teens feel depressed and withdrawn or actually behave aggressively. Today teenage life is so alarming. The behavior of free sex, drinking, drug abuse, antisocial, and brawl between gangs became their lifestyle. As happened in the district of Wuluhan Jember. Therefore it needs serious and thorough handling. One of the handling done is with peer counseling, where after peer counseling by the mentor of IPNU-IPPNU cadres for two months there is a significant changeof social independence. Where adolescent drug victims are more independent in the social attitude so have the courage to refuse the offer drugs.

Abstract

Dalam proses intraksi edukatif, pendidik memiliki peranan dan tanggung jawab yang sangat mendasar. Figur pendidik merupakan pribadi yang sangat matang yang bertugas untuk menggali, mengarahkan dan mengoptimalkan potensi peserta didik agar berkembangnya kemampuan intelektual, emosional serta kemampuan sosial peserta didik secara optimal. Peran pendidik yang begitu besar, akan memberikan dampak pada hasil pendidikan itu sendiri, yang pada gilirannya akan menentukan tercapai atau tidaknya tujuan pendidikan yang telah dicanangkan sebelumnya. Guru merupakan sosok yang memiliki beberapa keunggulan dari profesi lain. Sebagai upaya dari implementasi guru yang notabene digugu dan ditiru (figur) tersebut maka sepatutnyalah guru layak menjadi model untuk menuju pendidikan yang berbasis karakter, budaya dan moral dalam mengantarkan anak-anak bangsa menuju bangsa yang maju dan beradab

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini, adalah pendidikan yang diselenggarakan dengan tujuan untuk memfasilitasi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak secara menyeluruh atau menekankan pada pengembangan seluruh aspek kepribadian anak. Hal tersebut dilakukan melalui pemberian ransangan pendidikan untuk membantu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan jasmanidan rohani agar anak memilki kesiapan dalam memasuki pendidikan lebih lanjut,yang diselenggarakan pada jalur formal, non formal dan informal. Pendidikan anak usia dini memberi kesempatan untuk mengembangkan kepribadian anak, oleh karena itu pendidikan untuk usia dini khususnya pendidikan anak usia dini perlu menyediakan berbagai kegiatan yang dapat mengembangkan berbagai aspek perkembangan yang meliputi kognitif, bahasa, sosial, emosi, fisik,spiritual dan motorik sesuai dengan keunikandan tahap-tahap perkembangan yang dilalui anak.

Abstract

Berdasarkan fungsi dan tujuan pendidikan nasional, jelas bahwa pendidikan di setiap jenjang, harus diselenggarakan secara sistematis guna mencapai tujuan. Hal tersebut berkaitan dengan pembentukan karakter peserta didik sehingga mampu bersaing, beretika, bermoral, sopan santun dan berinteraksi dengan masyarakat. Bersama kesuksesan seseorang tidak ditentukan semata-mata oleh pengetahuan dan kemampuan teknis (hard skill) saja, tetapi lebih oleh kemampuan mengelola diri dan orang lain (soft skill). Penelitian ini mengungkapkan, kesuksesan hanya ditentukan sekitar 20 persen oleh hard skill dan sisanya 80 persen oleh soft skill. Bahkan orang-orang tersukses di dunia bisa berhasil dikarenakan lebih banyak didukung kemampuan soft skill daripada hard skill. Hal ini mengisyaratkan bahwa mutu pendidikan karakter peserta didik sangat penting untuk ditingkatkan. Karakter merupakan nilai-nilai perilaku manusia yang berhubungan dengan Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, diri sendiri, sesame manusia, lingkungan, dan kebangsaan yang terwujud dalam pikiran, sikap, perasaan, perkataan, dan perbuatan berdasarkan norma-norma agama, hukum, tata krama, budaya, dan adat istiadat.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter adalah suatu sistem penanaman nilai-nilai karakter kepada warga sekolah yang meliputi komponen pengetahuan, kesadaran atau kemauan, dan tindakan untuk melaksanakan nilai-nilai tersebut. Dalam pendidikan karakter di madrasah, semua komponen (pemangku pendidikan) harus dilibatkan, termasuk komponen-komponen pendidikan itu sendiri, yaitu isi kurikulum, proses pembelajaran dan penilaian, penanganan atau pengelolaan mata pelajaran, pengelolaan madrasah, pelaksanaan aktivitas atau kegiatan ko-kurikuler, pemberdayaan sarana prasarana, pembiayaan, dan ethos kerja seluruh warga madrasah. Lebih lanjut dijelaskan bahwa pendidikan karakter adalah segala sesuatu yang dilakukan guru, yang mampu mempengaruhi karakter peserta didik. Guru membantu membentuk watak peserta didik. Hal ini mencakup keteladanan bagaimana perilaku guru, cara guru berbicara atau menyampaikan materi, bagaimana guru berinteraksi dengan siswa.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah sebuah penanaman modal manusia untuk masa depan dengan membekali generasi muda dengan budi pekerti yang luhur dan kecakapan yang tinggi. Pada umumnya dalam mencetak tumbuh kembang dan karakter anakterdapat di tiga lingkungan yakni pendidikam keluarga (pendidikan informal), sekolah (pendidikan formal), dan masyarakat (pendidikan non formal).Jadi baik buruknya akhlak/karakter seseorang dan tinggi rendahnya kecakapan atu keahlian seseorang dipengaruhi oleh tiga lingkungan Pendidikan tersebut, yang mana ketiga lingkungan tersebut terkenal dengan istilah tri pusat pendidikan.

Abstract

The issue of women's leadership in Islam is still a determinant in various circles of scholars, both classical scholars, and modern scholars. However, with the presence of Islam on this earth, it will carry out its mission, justice, and experience. The purposes are to describe leadership from an Islamic perspective, to describe women's leadership from the Asghar Ali Engineer's perspective, and to analyze Asghar Ali Engineer's thinking about women's leadership. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The data obtained were processed by description, interpretation, and analysis. The results of this study indicate that in the view of Asghar Ali Engineer, women are allowed to become leaders. As for the understanding of the classical scholars who forbid women to become leaders, Asghar Ali firmly said that the scholars did not see the social context when the verse was revealed so the interpretation that emerged was the distortion of gender issues.
