The aim of this research is to identify public opinion about the suitable modern public transportation modes in Jakarta. Transportation is inseparable from traffic jam which also affects the residential areas. Traffic jam is a stagnant situation caused by the number of vehicles exceeding the road’s capacity. Traffic congestion becomes daily problem in Jakarta and other cities in Indonesia. This research used qualitative method. The result of this research shows that traffic congestion in Jakarta was caused by large number of private vehicles. Due to that condition, the suitable public transportation modes are, Monorail, TransJakarta bus, Tram, MRT, and LRT. 48% of Jakarta citizens chose monorail as the most suitable transportation while 38% of them preferred Transjakarta bus, and 14% of people asked for tram. The expectation of the realization of modern transportation mode, in this case monorail, is to decrease the number of private vehicles. The leadership of a ship captain is often a philosophy or role model that is ideally used for professional leaders and family leaders. As we often hear, a leader is commonly related to a boat captain who leads a fleet across a vast sea to the dock, with the power to control the steering wheel. The purpose of this study is to explore the character of the captain's leadership on a ship that can be taken as a leadership philosophy in general. The research method used was a phenomenological approach since the problems studied involve problems that developed in the life of the captain. The phenomenology approach is one of the qualitative method approaches. Broadly speaking, leadership on board represents the ability to gain respect and authority from the crew. On the ship, leadership is a requirement for the growth of the organization of crew activities. In the shipping industry, there is a constant need to identify and nurture future leaders who have the potential to excel in critical leadership roles on board.

The research objective is to determine the integration between waiting times for dwelling time and loading unloading container of container terminals at Tanjung Priok Port. The research method used in this study was qualitative descriptive. The five container terminals studied at Tanjung Priok port are the Jakarta International Container Terminal, Koja, NIPCT1 container terminal, Mustika Alam Lestari and Terminal 1 New Port Container. The research problem is whether the reduction in Dwelling Time will be able to increase loading unloading Container capacity at container terminals at Tanjung Priok Portor not. The result shows that there is a positive integration of Dwelling Time specifically for loading and unloading imported containers in Tanjung Priok Port and is categorized as very high, with an average duration of seven years was 5.5 days. The results of this study are expected to be able to recommend how the decline in Dwelling Time could increase loading and unloading container capacity of container terminals at Tanjung Priok Port.

The aim of this research is to determine the causes of delays in the delivery of products to consumers. Big picture mapping will describe the product delivery process flow starting from receiving product delivery orders to the product delivery process carried out by a third party company. Process activity mapping is used to categorize activities into three categories, namely value added, necessary, value added, and non value added. Waste activity identification that occurs in the product delivery process is carried out with the seven waste method, which then causes the waste factors to be analyzed using a fishbone diagram. Lean distribution method is useful for analyzing waste factors as much as possible, so that continuous improvement can be implemented immediately.
