El-Maqalah: Journal of Arabic Language Teaching and Linguistics is open access, peer-reviewed journals that will consider every original scientific article that expands the field of study in Teaching Arabic and Linguistics as well as various other educational related issues. The journal publishes research articles of interest to education practitioners, teachers, education policymakers, and researchers. The article submitted must be based on research, original, and educationally interesting to the audience in the field. The goal is to disseminate new concepts and research findings developed in this area of study by publishing relevant peer-reviewed scientific information and discussions. The aim and scope of this journal focus on the results of research related to the current issues faced by Arabic language learners and instructors, both from the linguistic and pedagogical realms. This journal is free of charge, and all manuscripts will be gone through double-blind review before being published.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that students are not able to apply the sharf method to identify Fa Fi'il and 'Ain Fi'il and Lam Fi'il in this chapter of the Mujarrad and Tsulasi Mazid and are also unable to identify additional letters in the Tsulasi Mazid chapter and author of the book is not put a distinguishing mark between the original letters and the additional letter in Tsulasi Mazid chapter. The purpose of this study is to find out the steps for developing and effectiveness of the product development of the Book Matan Bina Wal Asas with LKS. The population and sample of this study were all Santri in class 2 in Dayah Raudhatuk Hikmah al-Waliyah in 2018/2019 totaling 57 people. The method used to select samples is a random method. A sample is 30 people. To collect research data using the following tools: Observations, interviews, questionnaires, and T-tests. As for analyzing the data researchers used qualitative and quantitative methods. The result of the study is the analysis of needs, and problems, collecting data, designing a product, revising the product, testing the first product, revising the product, testing the second product, the final revision, and the final product. The product effectiveness of the development of the Book Matan Bina Wal Asas with LKS in the chapter Tsulasi Mujarrad and Tsulasi Mazid in Raudhatul Hikmah Traditional al-Waliyah Pango Raya is a researcher doing statistical calculation whether or not the LKS media are effective? The result of the study shows that the T-count is -9,632 which is smaller than the T-table which is 2,048. So, therefore, accept H0 and reject Ha. Based on the calculation above it can be concluded that the LKS media is effective in learning sharf science.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the application of the Debate Method to improve speaking skills for Senior High School Students of class XII -A in Ulumuddin Boarding School Utenkot, Cunda - Lhokseumawe for academic years 2018 – 2019, and to know students' effectivity after applicating the Debat Methode. This research is classroom action research conducted in 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation/evaluation, and reflection. The subjects of this study are senior high school students of class XII-A who are 25 students and the object of this research is speaking skills. Data collection in this study is carried out by the method of observation, interviews, and diagnostic tests. The data are analyzed by quantitative descriptive and statistical analysis techniques. The results showed (1) that the application of the debate Method consisted of the stages of the purpose of Debate method application in the learning process of teaching Arabic, giving titles, limiting the Debate members, making debating rooms in class, searching for information about the title of the Debate, and providing evaluation sheets activities of researchers and students in the application the Debate method, (2) in the application of the Debate Method there is an increase in the percentage of speaking skills of students of class XI -A MA in terms of pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, and sentence structure. Based on the results of the analysis in the first cycle, the average student's speaking skills are obtained as much as 70% ("medium" category). Then in the second cycle students' skills improved. The average speaking skills of students are 74% ("medium" category). In the third cycle, the average skill of students is 81.4% ("high" category). Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that the application of the debate method can improve students' speaking skills in terms of pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, and sentence structure.

Abstract

The book "Darsu Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah" is one of the books used by students to learn Arabic. This book contains various teaching materials, including the Qawaid Nahwu and reading. After making observations, researchers see that the grammar content in the reading is not in accordance with the grammar material that has been taught. Therefore, this research was conducted to identify the content of reading texts and elements that contradicted grammar material as well as to know the efforts made by the teacher to overcome this problem. This research is content analysis and data collection is done through observation, documentation, and interviews. The sample is the class II book "Darsu Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah". The results of the study indicate that the content of the reading text in this book consists of grammar that has been learned and grammar that is not learned. Grammar has been studied totaling 77 examples, while those not studied are 144 examples The efforts made by the teacher to overcome this problem are by conducting textbook assessments, observing the material in the book, providing references to other teaching materials, providing additional material, and equip themselves with a variety of knowledge and experience and so on.

Abstract

Al-Qawa’id al-Nahwiyyah is one of three important elements in a language. The students should be learning Qawa’id to know the correct last line of the word in Arabic language, then to help them increase their speaking and writing well and right by a good language. So, the researcher used the Qiyasiyyah and Uslub NHT by using Bitaqah Takammulah to increase students’ achievement in comprehending Qawa’id Nahwu at Darul Ihsan School. After the researcher made the observation, the researcher found many mistakes and errors in language structure, The students expressed the error example in making some sentences (error language structure), and the technique or media in the teaching-learning process was not interesting. The purpose of the research is to know the effectiveness of the application of Qiyasiyyah and Uslub NHT by using Bitaqah Takammulah to increase students’ achievement in comprehending Qawa’id Nahwu at Darul Ihsan school, also how far the student’s response after applied it. In this research, the researcher used a true-experimental method with a post-test-only control group design. The population of this research is all the students of MTsS Darul Ihsan, consisting of 740 students, in this case, the researcher used random sampling by cluster technique and the researcher took two classes as samples and those are class 2f dan 2e. The instrument of this research is the test and questionnaire after analyzing the data, the result of this research showed that the result of ttest was higher than ttabel in a significant standard of 5% was 7,36 > 2,00. Based on the research result, the researcher concludes that the application of Tariqah Qiyasiyyah and Uslub NHT by using Bitaqah Takammulah is effective for increasing student’s achievement in comprehending Qawa’id Nahwu at Darul Ihsan boarding school.

Abstract

Students at SMPIT Madrasatul Quran boarding school memorize verses of al-Quran, memorize Arabic vocabulary, learn Arabic grammar, and learn Arabic texts. This process will be a good attempt to improve students' ability to read and understand Arabic texts. In reality, however, some students are not able to read and understand Arabic texts well, as there are errors in "Makhrajul Huruf", errors in "late rendering", errors in "stop places while reading texts" and are unable to "explain the meaning of the text read". Therefore, the researcher wanted to study the application of the cooperative learning method with the Jigsaw model to improve the ability of SMPIT Madrasatul Quran boarding school students to understand Arabic texts. The purpose of this study is to know the process of teaching students, and students' responses to learning and to know the efforts of teachers in applying cooperative learning methods with the Jigsaw model to improve the ability of SMPIT Madrasatul Quran boarding school students to understand Arabic texts. The approach of this research is a procedural research method. The research results that the cooperative learning method Jigsaw model is effective in improving the ability of SMPIT Madrasatul Quran boarding school students to understand Arabic texts as proof that the value of students in the first round is 66.89 (accepted). In the second half was 72.58 (acceptable). In the third round was 82.58 (good). In the fourth round, their value increased to 86.20 (good). Also after observing learning by using the cooperative learning method, there is a change in the teaching and learning process. The efforts of researchers in finding solutions to student problems have increased their competence and courage to read and understand Arabic texts.
