El-Maqalah: Journal of Arabic Language Teaching and Linguistics is open access, peer-reviewed journals that will consider every original scientific article that expands the field of study in Teaching Arabic and Linguistics as well as various other educational related issues. The journal publishes research articles of interest to education practitioners, teachers, education policymakers, and researchers. The article submitted must be based on research, original, and educationally interesting to the audience in the field. The goal is to disseminate new concepts and research findings developed in this area of study by publishing relevant peer-reviewed scientific information and discussions. The aim and scope of this journal focus on the results of research related to the current issues faced by Arabic language learners and instructors, both from the linguistic and pedagogical realms. Abstract

The method of dialog (conversational Method) is one method of teaching foreign languages ​​such as Arabic, English, or other languages ​​by directly inviting students to dialogue/speak with the foreign language being taught. Playing drama is one way to make it easier for students to remember Arabic vocab. The conversational method intended here is a way of teaching by dramatizing behavior in the form of social relations. As for the problems that researchers encounter at the modern Babun Najah boarding school, some students at the Modern Pesantren Babun Najah are less able to understand the language when dialoguing with Arabic with their friends well and it is also difficult to pronounce the Arabic language. From these problems, the researcher wants to discuss research entitled "Muhadatsah Learning through the dramatization method to improve students' Ability to Engage in Dialogue using Arabic". The research method used by researchers in writing this thesis is a quasi-experiment, this method which launches the design of a study, which aims to examine the relationship of cause and effect to the cause of the phenomenon. The Mujtama' in this study were students of class 1 Aliyah Modern Islamic Boarding School Babun Najah Ulee Kareng where students numbered 151 people, and the sample was class 1 MIA 4 students, amounting to 32 people, viewed from the learning aspects and the results of research has been done on that class is increasing. The Muhadatsah learning through the method of dramatization can improve students' ability in dialogue by using the Arabic language because it can be seen through the value of to and it is clear that the value of 22.03% is higher than the percentage value of 5% = 2.04 and 1% 2.75. While the motivation of students in dialogue by using drama achieves excellent value categories.

Abstract

The subject of the study was "The application of the direct method with the Kwartet card to improve students' ability to express themselves verbally (an experimental study in the Islamic High School Ruhul Falah Samahani)." One of the reasons that encouraged researchers to write this research was a problem faced by the teacher because students could not write short sentences that the teacher taught about the subject. They cannot say the sentence he made from the desired material. This arises when researchers choose card examples and exercises from easy anecdotal texts, or good phrases that go beyond students' methods to enhance their culture and broaden their circle of knowledge. Researchers believe that students do not understand these subjects because they do not use education methods and education methods that are appropriate for teachers when they teach Arabic, and this causes a lack of desire for these subjects. The purpose of writing this thesis is to find out how to improve students' ability to learn Arabic after applying the method directly to the Kwartet card. To obtain data, researchers conducted an experimental study: Quazi Design - Experimental was the first Time-Series Design. In collecting data, researchers make direct observations and tests. As for the community in this study, all students in the Islamic High School Ruhul Falah Samahani were 54 students. As for the sample that researchers took, it would be 15 female students. We know from the results of this study that the application of the direct method with a Kwartet card is effective in improving students' ability to express themselves verbally, and this is identical to direct observation with a P = 92.8% which indicates that it falls between the 81-100% limit in very good meaning. The evidence for this is also that the results ("t" test) are greater than the results ("t" tables) and therefore the null hypothesis is valued and alternative hypotheses can be accepted, namely: that the application of the direct method with the Cortette card is effective for improving students' abilities to express in verbal expressions in Arabic lessons at Islamic High School Ruhul Falah Samahani.

Abstract

In the second language, speaking is a basic skill in learning language, because language it selft is speech, a person is not considered of mastered the language except by mastering the speaking. The students of Babun Najah not only found it difficult to speak the Arabic language but got bored as well. Thus, the student had a very low ability. It was caused by the disagreement between methods used by teachers and not using the interesting media according to students’ condition, it made the students feel bored, and lack attention to the subject; even some of them spoke during the teaching and learning process. So the learning process runs ineffectively. This resulted in the limited ability of students to speak Arabic. Based on this problem that has been studied by the researchers, we need for solution to overcome these problems, including: applying the Retelling Story method with the serial images in teaching Arabic language to reach the purposes of teaching speaking skills, in hopes of increasing student ability in speaking skills by combining these two variables. The purpose of this research is to know students’ responses to speaking skills and students' abilities in speaking the Arabic language using the retelling method and serial pictures in Babun Najah Banda Aceh boarding school. Quantitative supported by qualitative approach along with experimental method was used by the researcher. Purposive sampling was used to find the second graders of II-C as a control class and II-D as an experimental class that consisted of 23 students. The results are that students’ response toward the Retelling story Method with the pictures series is well, and the use of the Retelling story Method with the pictures series was effective and it gave a good impact on students of Babun Najah Banda Aceh boarding school, which the result from the t-test relate calculation is greater than t-table result, that is 1,69 < 1,93.

Abstract

This title was chosen by the writer because of the absence of particular books for the Arabic conversation of the student as well as an interview with the head of the language center of the school, Dr. Muakhir Zakaria MA. These questionnaires show that the students need certain guidance books used to improve their capability in Arabic conversation. The purpose of this study is to figure out the application of this material design and to measure the effectiveness of the design under the title “The environment of Islamic boarding school” to improve student’s abilities. The writer used the RND method and took the entire students of this boarding school as the population, while the sample is students from class 2D which is 30 students. Moreover, in data collection, the writer does observation, interviews, questions, and tests. The pre-test result of this test is 62% and the post-test 75% and it is more effective for them to use.

Abstract

The research problem in this thesis is that many students of class two mistakenly write Hamzah, for example in the verb "اطمأن", in the form of Fi'il Madhi written on alif, and in the form of fi Mudhari 'written on “ya”, such as يطمئن. Most of them make mistakes in writing it because they are ineffective and are not focused on learning the rules of writing Hamzah and they cannot distinguish between Hamzah in Arabic writing because the lessons of Imla' and Insha' are important tools for written expression in terms of truth and integrity the mistake. The purpose of this thesis is to find out the teacher and student activities in the application of the modified method in the learning of the method of Hamzah for Second-grade level students of Junior High School Inshafuddin Boarding School and to identify students' responses in the application of the modified method of learning the method of Hamzah and to identify the effectiveness of the application of the modified method in the learning of the Hamzah Method for Junior High School of Integrated Inshafuddin Boarding School. The method used by researchers to compile this thesis is an experimental approach, which is a scientific research method that researchers use to determine the effect of causes (independent variables) on outcomes (dependent variables), which have a clear effect on the progress of natural science. The results obtained from this study are the application of a modified method in teaching the method of Hamzah to run well which learning the method of Hamzah in an interesting and easy way for students and can increase their desire to learn it. Likewise, the student's response to applying the modified method in teaching the method of Hamzah is good because students can answer all questions easily and improve their ability to write Hamzah. In addition, the application of the modified method is also effective as stated in the post-test after the learning process of the Hamzah Method. The researcher obtained different pre-test and post-test results in which the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted with the result ("T" Test) higher than the results of "T" Table in the form of 2.81 <5.36 <07, 2 according to the level of significance. Therefore, the modified method of teaching the method of Hamzah is very effective and can improve the ability of students to write Hamzah.
