Abstract

Recycling of used cooking oil is an effort by collecting, processing and reusing solid waste or materials that have been used for the purpose of environmental conservation. This study was conducted to identify the level of knowledge and awareness of used cooking oil management among the community in the Kuala Nerus district, Terengganu. The study involved 30 respondents in the community, namely traders, used cooking oil wholesalers, households, students and the government. The study used a mixed method, i.e. qualitative and quantitative research using fuzzy cognitive modelling including individual mental model modeling. The results of the study showed that the knowledge of cooking oil waste recycling among the respondents was still at a moderate level. The results of the study found that for the aspect of qualitative analysis, there were four themes that emerged, namely knowledge, awareness, attitude and culture. While descriptive analysis identifies the most dominant relationship strength is the theme of knowledge. The recommendations in this study are necessary to improve the management of used cooking oil in Kuala Nerus through a comprehensive and integrated approach. This study proposes a legal approach, encourages the expansion of this study to a higher level and improves the provision of used cooking oil management infrastructure.

Abstract

This research aims to review the development of sustainability performance measurement indicators used around the world. The application of these indicators varies greatly because there is no standard that regulates sustainability performance measurement indicators. The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is one of the guidelines for the implementation of Sustainability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). However, it does not rule out the possibility of companies adopting other systematics that are widely developed, such as the Sustainability Balanced Scorecard (SBSC). By conducting a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, there are 8 articles as data in the study. Reference articles come from Scopus and Google Scholar database sources with restrictions on publication years 2019-2024. The selected articles discuss factors that become challenges and obstacles, measurement methods, and strategies for formulating sustainability performance indicators. The research results present a literature review of variations in sustainability performance measurement indicators applied to the private sector depend on the entity's objectives, strategies, and the interests of external parties or stakeholders.

Abstract

One of the efforts to develop an inclusive economy in the poorest province in Indonesia, Papua, is through fiscal policy. This research has two main objectives, namely: (i) assessing the Inclusive Economic Development in Papua; and, (ii) analyzing the relationship between fiscal policy in realizing Papua Inclusive Economic. Papua Province has the lowest Inclusive Economic Development Index (IEDI) ranking in Indonesia. This low level of caused 26.8 percent of the poor population in Papua Province. Economic development interventions through fiscal policy need to be carried out. Analysis of regional fiscal policy factors that are significant to the IEDI of each city/district can pay attention to policy directions from the past that need to be prioritized so that policy strategies can be developed. Novelty: This research is the first to observe Papua's IEDI through government expenditure factors. This research is the first that show how statistically to modelling IEDI. The fiscal policy is observed through the budgeting of the General Allocation Fund (GAF), Physical Special Allocation Fund (PSAF), Non-Physical Special Allocation Fund (NPSAF), and Village Fund (VilF). Data is observed in 2019 to 2021. Panel data regression model is used to analysis the effect of expenditure. The REM model obtained gives an R-sq of 41.9% with high IEDI prediction accuracy. This study found that PSAF and NPSAF were the source of the increase in IEDI. These findings indicate that the PSAF and NPSAF (physical and non-physical) is more efficient than the GAF and VilF on inclusive economic development in Papua.

Abstract

The increasing global demand for renewable energy and sustainable waste management solutions has inspired interest in microbial fuel cells (MFCs) as a dual-purpose technology for bioelectricity generation and waste treatment. This study explores the role of EM4, a consortium of effective microorganisms, in enhancing the voltage output and electrical conductivity of solid waste-powered MFCs. A batch system bioreactor assessed the impact of varying organic waste-to-zeolite ratios on MFC performance. The results demonstrated that a 1:1 ratio of organic waste to zeolite produced the highest electrical conductivity (3160 µS/cm) and the most substantial voltage output (777.5 mV) by day three of the experiment. Statistical analysis, including ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis tests, revealed significant differences in voltage output across treatments, with a positive correlation between electrical conductivity and voltage production. These findings highlight the potential of integrating EM4 and conductive materials like zeolite to optimize bioelectricity generation in MFCs, contributing to the advancement of sustainable energy technologies.

Abstract

Maintaining optimal Employee Performance relies heavily on Work-life Balance and reasonable Workload. An unbalanced Workload can hinder productivity, while a healthy Work-life Balance can encourage more effective and efficient performance. To assess how Employee Performance at BPJS Kesehatan Palu Branch Office is affected by Workload and Work-life Balance. This research uses quantitative methodology, by collecting data from 30 respondents through questionnaires and Google forms and then analyzed using WarpPLS 7.0. The results revealed that Employee Performance is significantly affected by the balance between Work-life Balance and Workload. By examining the impact of Workload and Work-life Balance simultaneously in the public service sector, this study offers a new perspective.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of financial literacy and entrepreneurial spirit on the welfare of ate weavers in Karangasem Regency, Bali. Using multiple regression methods, data were collected from 95 respondents who were ate weavers. The results of the analysis show that financial literacy has a positive and significant influence on welfare with a coefficient of 0.45 (p-value <0.01), while entrepreneurial spirit also contributes positively with a coefficient of 0.35 (p-value <0.05). The research model explains 62% of the variation in the welfare of craftsmen. These findings indicate that increasing financial literacy and entrepreneurial spirit can improve the welfare of ate weavers. Therefore, training programs in both aspects are highly recommended to support local economic growth and community welfare.

Abstract

The phenomenon of impulse buying has become an important subject in the study of consumer behavior. With increasing competition in the retail market, a better understanding of the factors that influence impulse buying is essential for retailers to design effective marketing strategies. This issue is important because it provides deeper insight into consumer behavior and offers guidance for retailers in developing more effective marketing approaches. This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of price discounts and hedonic shopping value on impulsive buying and to test the role of positive emotions in mediating the effects of these variables on impulsive buying. The population of this study consisted of retail consumers in minimarkets in Tangerang, Banten, The population is not known for certain. The sample size was 384 respondents. The sample was collected using non-probability sampling techniques, specifically purposive sampling. The data collected were analyzed using Microsoft Excel, Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS), and Partial Least Square (PLS) with path analysis. The results of the study showed that price discounts have a significant impact on impulsive buying. Hedonic shopping value also significantly affects impulsive buying. The indirect effect of price discounts on impulsive buying through positive emotions is not significant. Hedonic shopping value has a significant indirect effect on impulsive buying through positive emotions.
