Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan  dilatar belakangi bahwa minat baca anak-anak di Dusun Kanoman masih rendah. Keberadaan Komunitas Rumah Baca (RBK) sendiri juga di katakan belum berjalan secara efektif. Hal ini dikarenakan Komunitas Rumah Baca (RBK) belum lama berpindah di Dusun Kanoman, volunter yang over load pekerjaan, dan sebagian besar tidak bisa berbahasa Jawa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana komunikasi efektif  Komunitas Rumah Baca (RBK) dalam meningkatkan minat baca pada anak-anak di Dusun Kanoman.Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data didapatkan dari hasil wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Komunitas Rumah Baca (RBK) dikatakan mampu meningkatkan minat baca anak-anak di Dusun Kanoman. Hal ini terbukti bahwa anak-anak mulai berkeinginan untuk membaca dan meminjam buku di komunitas. Komunitas juga menerapkan prisip komunikasi efektif yang disingkat REACH. Ada hambatan yang dialami dari pihak komunitas maupun anak-anak, namun hambatan itu dapat diatasi.

Abstract

Dinas Kominfo Ponorogo merupakan bagian dari pemerintahan yang bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi kepada publik. Dengan adanya krisis pandemi covid-19 ini maka media relations perlu digunkanan oleh Diskominfo Ponorogo sebagai salah satu upaya dalam memberikan informasi serta ketenangan pada masyarakat penelitian ini bertujuan unutuk membandingakan kesesuaian isi antara press release yang digunkana Diskominfo Ponorogo terkait media relations dengan pemberitaan media massa ( Jatimnow dan Solopos ) terkait kasus Covid – 19 fokus pemberitaan kasus Pondok pesantren Gontor Dua. Maka metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan dua teori yaitu media relations dan analisis akurasi dan nilai berita. Temuan menyatakan jika isi penulisan press release dan isi dalam berita memiliki persamaan dalam konteks isi informasi akan tetapi terdpat perbedaan dalam aktualisasi press release dan berita.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi memungkinkan media konvensional khususnya media penyiaran televisi dan radio yang bersifat satu waktu dapat berubah bersifat multi-channel yang juga merupakan bagian dari sifat konvergensi media. Konvergensi media merupakan salah satu perkembangan media massa yang banyak melibatkan faktor teknologi dalam prosesnya. Kehadiran internet membuat media konvensional menerapkan konsep konvergensi media yang memunculkan tren seperti munculnya e-paper, e-book, radio streaming, dan media sosial. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis memfokuskan pada bagaimana radio sebagai media tradisional dapat terus berkembang dengan menerapkan konvergensi media. Garis besar tulisan ini membahas radio yang mulai berkolaborasi dengan media baru dan pengaruhnya terhadap perkembangan Radio Geronimo FM dan Radio Swaragama FM di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan pihak internal Radio Geronimo FM dan Radio Swaragama FM. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kedua radio sudah sangat memaksimalkan konvergensi media dengan baik yang dibuktikan dengan perluasan jangkauan pendengar, memperbesar kesempatan pengiklan dengan media sosial, dan perluasan ekonomi mengacu konglomerasi ekonomi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the general election commission in increasing public participation in the 2020 elections for Medan City. The method used in this research is qualitative. The informants in this study were members of the Medan City Election Commission and the public who were registered as the final voter list in the 2020 Medan City Election. The results of the study can be seen that the role that the Medan City KPU has to foster community participation in politics, especially in the Medan City elections from the KPU regarding the implementation schedule, registration, and voter data collection. Then socialization with face-to-face communication through mass media, social media, creative media, KPU announcement boards, and so on.

Abstract

Conflict against the backdrop of the dissemination of hoaks information, accompanied by elements of racism repeated and targeted papuans. In 2019, a riot led to an alleged racist slur by a teacher, to his student on September 18, 2019. The unrest resulted in various humanitarian problems, such as civilian casualties and destruction of public facilities. As a result, a wave of problems related to the exodus of citizens continues to come. This research aims to discuss the news frame of two media, namely Republika Daily and Kompas with discussion of the Tragedy of Riots in Wamena City, Papua Province (September 24, 2019 - September 30, 2019). Meanwhile, the concept of a crisis of manness and responsibility to protect both media, agreed to package it in the same point of view. The frame of republika and kompas daily news in the concept of humanitarian crisis is classified in the complex emergencies category, and the facts presented about the role of the Government in accordance with the concept of responsibility to protect.

Abstract

Foto jurnalistik di Kompas.id edisi “Usai Demonstrasi di depan Gedung DPR” 25 September 2019 menyampaikan informasi mengenai demonstrasi yang terjadi pada tanggal 24 September 2019, diikuti oleh sejumlah mahasiswa yang datang dari Jakarta maupun luar Jakarta. Demonstrasi terjadi di depan Gedung Parlemen DPR RI di daerah Senayan Jakarta Pusat. Demonstrasi ini terjadi karena menolak disahkannya sejumlah RUU dan UU KPK baru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakter foto jurnalistik pada Kompas.id edisi “usai demonstrasi di depan Gedung DPR” dengan analisis menggunakan metode EDFAT (entire, detail, frame, angle, time) komposisi, pola, tekstur, dan bentuk subjeknya, sudut pandang pengambilan gambar yang meliputi high angle, low angle, eye view angle, long shot, medium shot, medium close up, close up, extreme long shot. waktu yang tepat dalam menangkap peristiwa atau moment. serta mengetahui bagaimana penyusunan pesan pada foto jurnalistik tersebut. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan terhadap foto jurnalistik tersebut, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pada foto jurnalistik tersebut memperlihatkan betapa kesiapan nya para Pekerja dan Petugas Kebersihan dalam melakukan Pekerjaannya tanpa kenal waktu dan situasi. Dan penyusunan pesan pada foto tersebut bersifat informatif dan persuasif.

Abstract

Some time ago, Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadiem Makarim launched a program called "Merdeka Learning" aimed at Universities / Colleges which is also known as the Independent Campus. The discourse conveyed by the Minister of Education and Culture regarding the Merdeka Campus has four policies in the scope of higher education, namely (1) Opening of new study programs, in which this program provides autonomy for State (PTN) and Private Universities (PTS) to open or establish new study programs, (2) Higher education accreditation system, (3) Freedom for PTN Public Service Agency (BLU) and Work Unit (Satker) to become PTN Legal Entity (PTN BH), (4) Right for students to take courses outside the study program and changing the definition of the Semester Credit System (SKS). The purpose of this study was to determine how the Medan State University Student Response to the Discourse of the Merdeka Campus. The data collection technique used in this study used several methods including literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. This data analysis technique uses a qualitative descriptive method which is used to describe a situation that is currently running at the time the research is carried out and examines the causes of a particular symptom, then analyzed by conducting a conceptual examination of a statement so that the clarity of the meaning contained in the statement can be obtained. the. Where all the speakers know the discourse on an independent campus that has been conveyed by the Minister of Education and Culture some time ago, but from the results of the interviews conducted in more depth, five people only approved and three people did not approve of the independent campus.

Abstract

ETOS co working space, one of the workspaces located in Yogyakarta that carries a simple concept, but is still in demand by the public. Manyhave emerged co-working spaces with attractive concepts and are in demand by many people. ETOS still carries the concept of "real co-working space" and competes with its competitors, and in less than a year ETOS has already received regular clients and customers every day. With the title "The Analysis of the Implementation Public Relations to Develop The Effort of The Brand Image Co working space" with the formulation of the problem of how to use the role of public relations in an effort to increase the brand image of the ETOS co working space in Yogyakarta with the aim of research, namely to determine the use of the role of public relations in an effort to improve brand image co working space ETOS. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques are carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation. This research process focuses on utilizing the role of public relations in an effort to increase the brand image of the co-working space at ETOS. By using several data analysis techniques such as data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing / verification. For data validation, this study used triangulation techniques. Based on the research results obtained in the field, it is concluded that in an effort to improve the brand image of the ETOS co working space , ETOS Public Relations takes advantage of the role of public relations , namely, expert prescribe, communication facilitator, problem solving facilitator, and communication technician. ETOS PR also implements management public relations in this case planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Abstract

Nusantara batik is a traditional work of art that has certain motifs originating from regions throughout Indonesia. Indonesian batik has unique motifs so that many foreigners love Indonesian batik. Germany is one country that really admires the work of Indonesian batik. One proof of this is the establishment of the Smend Batik Museum which is located in the center of Cologne City, to be precise in the Mainzerstra area. ”E. The Batik Smend Museum has a marketing strategy to attract readers and tourists to visit the Smend Batik Museum. This study aims to see the marketing strategy used by the Museum Batik Smend in increasing foreign tourist visits. The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the website media can increase foreign tourist visits.

Abstract

The Hunting Ground” is a documentary movie which tells about the sexual violence in United States colleges. The story is about the new college students, especially women who became the targets of rape and sexual violence. It is a pity because the colleges always ignore and do not respond the report from the victims. The aim of this study is to determine the representation of feminism in the "The Hunting Ground" movie through John Fiske's semiotics. This research used qualitative method with the semiotics analysis of John Fiske. The Object of this research is the cases of feminism which is contained in this movie with The Codes of Television theory. This theory use three social codes such as reality, representation, and ideology. The result of this research were: First, the forming of feminism meaning in “The Hunting Ground” movie was through dialogues, interviews, narratives, and conflicts which was shown from the process of the survivors' struggle to get their welfare back. Second, the feminism in “The Hunting Ground” movie was shown through the behaviors and attitudes of survivors who dared to oppose their own colleges by filing lawsuits and accusations on the cases which befell the victims. Third, the formation of liberal feminism was a movement which described the situation.
