Abstract

PT Yorama adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang garmen. Dalam rangka mengoptimalkan biaya produksinya, PT Yorama ingin melakukan analisis data biaya menggunakan metode linear programming dan menggunakan software POM QM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis data biaya optimum di PT Yorama dengan menggunakan metode linear programming dan software POM QM. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode simplek. Metode simplek merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan dalam memecahkan permasalahan linear programming dalam menentukan solusi optimal yang memiliki dua atau lebih variabel keputusan dimana dalam menentukan kombinasi optimal dilakukan melalui iterasi secara berulang terhadap tabel simpleks sampai ditemukan nilai yang optimum dalam masalah optimasi yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi produk yang paling optimal untuk diproduksi oleh PT Yorama adalah dengan memproduksi 2 kain sutra, dan 12 kain wol perhari. Kombinasi ini adalah keuntungan optimal yang didapat dengan keuntungan sebesar 480$.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is engaged in manufacturing automotive products has products such as altenator and motor starter for automobile vehicles. The problem that exists in the company is experiencing a shortage of products to sell or not being able to meet the demand for the number of products requested. The purpose of this study is to determine optimal production planning and raw material inventory control in order the company can minimize stock outages. The methods used in this study are moving average, weight moving average, and exponential smoothing for forecasting. As for raw material inventory control, it uses the economic order quantity, safety stock, and reorder point methods. The results of this study obtained is weight moving average method n = 3, because it has the smallest error rate, namely with MAD of 5,364, MSE of 39,447,784, and MAPE of 10.66%%. Meanwhile, raw material inventory control for 2022  obtained by using economic order quantity method, achived by directly order  11,243 units per year, with the number of orders every 55 times, then the total inventory cost is IDR 673,725,000. In the safety stock method for 2022, it is 3,564 units with a reorder point of 7,128.

Abstract

Performance Prism has been implemented in various business, because it is a method to measure company performance. Therefore, a systematic literature review is required, to provide information for further research about the implementation of Performance Prism. The identified literature includes 36 national articles and 4 international articles from Indonesia, with a range of publications from 2011 to 2020. The implementation of Performance Prims is dominated by the industry of food, apparel, and construction materials, as well as services of raw water and health. In addition, Performance Prism is also implemented in educational institutions, includes Junior High School and University. The implementation of Performance Prism is integrated by 4 other dominant methods, includes Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Objective Matrix (OMAX), Traffic Light System (TLS), and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, & Threats (SWOT). The benefits of implementing Performance Prism consist of measuring the level of perspective stakeholders and performance indicators, as well as determining Key Performance Indicators and measuring company performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to eliminate waste in machining cast wheel line production using lean manufacturing implementation. This research use lean manufacturing method with Waste Assessment Model (WAM) for identification waste of manufacturing process and Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT) to choose mapping tools which will be used in waste analysis. Based on the analysis result, there are three recommendations. The recommendations are modification design soft jaw on machine OP 20 (facing and boring), application sampling method for OP 40 (leak test), and unification OP 70/OP 60 (washing). The result of evaluation recommendations shows performance improvement in machining cast wheel line production, there are increase in production capacity by 1,350 sets per day, decrease in reject rate by 2%, and efficiency of man power by reduce 3 peoples.

Abstract

This article will review several articles that use the PDCA method in overcoming production problems in various institutions. The method used is qualitative with a literature review approach. PDCA method is an appropriate method in identifying problems in various institutions. The application of the PDCA method to service institutions is not only appropriate in assessing service quality, but can also be applied to program assessments such as the Blended Learning program at educational institutions. The results of applying the PDCA method make the company more efficient, effective and can be apply in a sustainable manner in controlling the production process.

Abstract

Key performance indicators (KPI) are widely used in developing and advanced corporate systems. KPIs are used to measure the basic parameters that characterize organizational functions. Measurement of production efficiency regardless of the choice of optimization method, a key element of the author's methodology in designing a production system. Key performance indicators (KPIs) are commonly used in industry to support decision making and prioritize work across portfolios. KPI has a very objective assessment related to recommendations for decisions that must be taken in advancing the organization in order to achieve the goals outlined in the previous section and successfully inform. The method used in this paper is to review articles from various scientific articles from 2018-2020 using the keyword "KPI". Article disbursement was carried out using the "Google Scholar" and "Researchgate" databases.Where a review is carried out on the view of the use of KPIs in various industrial fields which are broad in nature in increasing satisfaction in a profession or actions that need to be taken as steps to become better in an organization. From this it can be concluded that the importance of a systematic and objective assessment to improve performance and results in an activity.

Abstract

Overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) is one of the performance evaluation methods used to measure the productivity of industrial equipment as a key performance indicator. Literature studies are used to identify, categorize, and synthesize research related to the application, study and analysis of OEE in various industries. This research is descriptive and the research method used is to conduct a systematic, structured and targeted review of 35 journals in Asia over the past eight years, with the scope of oee core characteristics and synergize the strength of the improvement framework, then group into manufacturing and service sectors. The results of this study explain that there are fundamental differences in the implementation of OEE in the manufacturing industry with services that are tangible manufacturing products, defects are determined through visual observation of the physical condition of products with certain criteria, the application of OEE affects the products produced. While in the service industry, the products produced are intangible, defects in the form of known data after going through the process of data processing using statistics with certain criteria, the application of OEE affects the services provided. Based on the results of this study is expected to provide systematic guidance to users overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) method in carrying out improvements to identify future development areas and as a reference in conducting further research in the field of manufacturing, services and in various other fields.

Abstract

Penilaian risiko safety pada bendungan merupakan pendekatan tradisional dan modern untuk proses rekayasa teknik bendungan terhadap system keselamatan sehingga menghasilkan sejarah desain yang memiliki catatan keseluruhan dan terintegritas secara baik.Dengan pendekatan ini guna bendungan lama maupun baru, penilaian risiko safety ini bertujuan agar dapat mengetahui apakah risiko bahaya dapat di toleransi atau tidak, jika tidak dapat ditoleransi makan harus ada solusi untuk tindakan dalam mengurangi risiko bahaya sehingga kemanan bendungan dapat didapatkan.Pada penilaian risiko yang sudah ada dapat dijadikan dasar dalam pembuatan bendungan sampai dengan perawatannya, dalam penelitian ini dibahas mengenai penilaian risiko keamanan pada bendungan yang berada di beberapa Negara seperti di benua Asia, Eropa dan Amerika. Metode yang dilaksanakan meliputi pada penyusunan risiko safety, analisis risiko, evaluasi risiko dan manajemen safety risiko. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Faktor risiko paling utama yang menyebabkan tanggung jawab keselamatan adalah Tanggung Jawab Kontraktor yaitu factor Non technical project (40.54%), peringkat ke-2 adalah Tanggung Jawab yang Belum Diputuskan karena factor technical internal (35.13%), Peringkat ke-3 adalah factor technical project yaitu Tanggung Jawab Kontraktor (10.8%), Peringkat ke-4 adalah factor technical eksternal dan non technical eksternal, faktor risiko terakhir adalah factor non technical internal (2,7%) yaitu tanggung Jawab Bersama.

Abstract

Occupational health and safety is one of the necessary things in the industrial world. Health conditions and the availability of employee safety protections can affect work productivity. safety culture in the workplace can be realized and can increase the safety performance index, an approach was implemented form of methods that can be applied to all organizations, one of which is behavior-based safety methods. The analysis of data obtained shows the factors cause work accidents due to behavior are taken from the validity of perception, communication and environment because these three factors are very easily ignored by employees and company management. Environmental factors and personal protective equipment have no effect on work accidents as always provides periodic education to its employees and enforces strict rules on the use of personal protective equipment. The magnitude of the influence of the variables studied in Behavior-Based safety in an effort to improve safe condition was 79.7% and the remaining 20.3% was influenced by other unexamined items. The value of 79.7% consists of perception, communication and environment.

Abstract

PT. XY tea is a black tea processing company, the problem faced is the presence of tea powder that has a production defect that must be reworked because the water content does not meet the standard (3-4%). The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality control of black tea products by identifying the relationship between the types of waste at the work station and measuring the sigma level value. The method used to identify the interrelationships between wastes is by using the Waste Relationship Matrix and making a control chart graph and then calculating the DPMO value and Sigma Level to measure the level of production capability. The results showed that the largest percentage level for waste that has an influence on other types of waste is waste of motion (22.50%) at the sorting stage, the waste that is often affected is inventory (19.63%) at the milling stage. For the production of quality I black tea, the sigma value is 2.31 with a DPMO value of 210605, meaning that for every one million opportunity there is a possibility of 210605 units of rework products. Meanwhile, for quality III, the sigma value is 2.55 with a DPMO value of 150661.
