Abstract

In recent years, the world has been shocked by the emergence of a disease caused by a virus, namely the corona virus or better known as COVID-19. The rapid spread of Covid-19 requires precautions to prevent transmission to break the chain of the COVID-19 pandemic and be able to face the new normal era. One of the preventive measures is to carry out the movement of washing hands with soap. Sheet soap is used as disposable hand soap and is perfect for use when traveling or doing activities outside the home. Currently, the community has started to carry out offline school and lecture activities. This activity aims to demand awareness to increase activities that are able to prevent the spread of Covid-19. So bringing antiseptic products, both in the form of liquids and sheet soap, is highly recommended to provide comfort in dealing with the new normal conditions after the Covid-19 pandemic. Activity method: This activity is planned to be carried out at the izzati jannah orphanage where the orphanage students have carried out learning activities offline. Activities are carried out following strict health protocols. The counseling activity was attended by 30 orphanage children. Based on the results of the post test, it was obtained a value of 92% of students being able to understand the training material provided. So that the results of the activity show that there is an increase in the knowledge of the orphans about processing dragon fruit peel powder into sheet soap that is easy to use and carry.

Abstract

Reproductive health in young women is obtained from the introduction of female reproductive organs. Not all young women know their reproductive organs, let alone their respective functions. By knowing the names of the reproductive organs and their functions, it is hoped that young women will be able to recognize and prepare themselves in the future. Knowing the reproductive organs and their functions also prevents things that shouldn't happen, such as sexual harassment of young women. The aim is to increase students' knowledge about reproductive health by introducing women's reproductive organs and their functions. The method is in the form of counseling which is delivered through power point broadcasts to students of SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta, as service partners. Counseling followed by discussion/question and answer lasted for 90 minutes. The number of participants who attended the pretest was 130 people, with an average pretest score of 84.77. During the posttest, 117 people attended with a mean posttest score of 86.67. Thus an increase in posttest scores was obtained compared to pretest, indicating that counseling increased participants' knowledge of the material presented. Suggestions for schools are to carry out similar counseling activities for the following years so that female students understand more about the importance of knowing their reproductive organs.

Abstract

Anemia can impact of body to susceptible disease, decreasing learning activities and reducing concentration. Therefore, early detection is needed to prevent anemia in young women. This activity aims to identify knowledge about anemia and the incidence of anemia in young women. The targets for this activity were young women at the Nurul Falah Islamic Boarding School Lebak Regency.  This activity was carried out from August to October 2022. The method used in the intervention was the provision of adolescent nutrition education, Hemoglobin examination and administration of Fe tablets. During monitoring, a haemoglobin check is performed again, and the final evaluation by measuring Hb levels. The activity results showed that the health education provided successfully increased students' knowledge about anemia and its prevention. This program can be seen from the average value (mean), which was initially 46.8 to 73.6 after being given counselling. The incidence of anemia is 46.6%. However, after intervention in the form of counselling in detecting and preventing anemia and administration of Fe tablets consumed every week for two months, it became 10%. So it can be concluded that there was an increase in the score of the knowledge of young students about anemia in detecting and preventing it, and there was a decrease in the incidence of anemia in female students after accompanying the consumption of Fe tablets. It is suggested that female students will be more concerned about early detection and prevention of anemia.

Abstract

The primary challenge faced during illness is the frequent occurrence of deaths at home. The environment where the deceased is cared for poses a risk of disease transmission and infection. Inadequate cleaning increases the risk of infection, thus families need to understand the techniques of managing the deceased according to health protocols and Islamic Sharia. After training and the formation of male and female corpse management teams, the community can establish corpse management posts and implement corpse management according to health protocols and Islamic Sharia. The method used is persuasive education and practice by combining lectures, question-and-answer sessions, and practical exercises. The pretest results showed that 71.67% had insufficient knowledge, 18.33% had average knowledge, and 10% had good knowledge. As for the posttest, 1.6% had insufficient knowledge, 56.67% had average knowledge, and 41.67% had good knowledge. The pretest results for practical skills showed that 68.33% had insufficient skills, 30% had average skills, and 1.67% had good skills. Abstract

Infant and toddler mortality rates in Indonesia are the highest in ASEAN countries. The maternal mortality rate in Batam City in 2020 reached 65.41% while the infant mortality rate reached 21 per 1000 live births. Resolution to reduce maternal and child mortality Indonesia demand to have adequate access, affordable and quality services. Posyandu is an access to service which is described in several programs for toddlers and mothers, including the provision of KIA books, anthropometric measurements, supplementation of iron for pregnancy, suplementation of vitamin A capsules to infants and postpartum mothers, education on exclusive breastfeeding. Accomplishment of posyandu evaluated by achieving of all programs. The purpose of this activity is to monitor the achievement of posyandu programs. The method used in this activity is observational of posyandu programs. The observation targets were 5 posyandu cadres and 1 midwife. The observation was carried out at the Anggrek 12 Posyandu which is sheltered by the Puskesmas Lubuk Baja in Batam City. The results of the observations showed that 4 of 6 programs of Anggrek 12 Posyandu had percentages more than 80%. In conclusion the posyandu had succeeded in operated all programs. The results of the implementation of community service show that it is better if the performance of posyandu and administration is accompanied by the Puskesmas in order to obtain accurate data.
