Abstract

This research aim to: (1) know the module development process, (2) to know the feasibility and (3) find out the effectiveness of the module to interpret engineering drawings, which have been made to support learning in interpret engineering drawings subject. The method that used in this research is research and development methods. Collection data was done by using questionnaires and test questions. The techniques of data analysis was done by using descriptive analysis techniques, by analyzing quantitative data and then interpreted in a qualitative sense. The results showed that: (1) learning module development process carried out in four main stages: needs analyze, design and creating a module, testing the feasibility and effectiveness of testing modules, (2) feasibility testing shows an average percentage value 88% with "very good" criteria and can concluded the learning interpret engineering drawings module is feasible to used for the learning process, and (3) the effectiveness testing is done by comparing the posttest experimental class value with the posttest class control value,obtained the t count value = 3.701 with the conclusion that the using of developed modules can effectively used to support learning in interpret engineering drawings subject.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ participation and learning achievement using Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) on the Basic Automotive course. This classroom action research was performed consisting of three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection.  There were 31 students from SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta selected as participants for the study. Data were collected using observation sheet and test at the beginning and end of classroom activities. The results of this study indicated that implementing STAD method can improve students’ learning outcomes. There were seventy percent or more (≥ 70%) students actively participated in the classroom activities. Furthermore, there were eighty percent or more (≥ 80%) students reached higher score than the minimum requirement for their test.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) know competence test results of competency test participants in the Indonesian Automotive Profession Certification Body from Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) in 2017 if reviewed from the certification scheme and (2) to know the distribution of competency unit of competency test participants causing competency test participants to be declared not yet competent in LSP Otomotif Indonesia from DIY in 2017 This research is a descriptive research. The subject in this research is 198 competency test participants. Technique of collecting data is documentation. This research uses quantitative analysis technique. The result of the research shows that: (1) the competency test results of competency test participants from the Special Region of Yogyakarta in Indonesian Automotive Profession Certification Body in 2017 if reviewed based on scheme 01 (Service Maintenance 5000 KM Motorcycles) is 70% (70) participants are declared competent and 30% (30) participants are deemed incompetent (including high category). Furthermore, in scheme 02 (Service and Maintenance 10,000 Km of Conventional Light Vehicles) 75% (15) are competent and 25% (5) declared incompetent (including category and in scheme 03 (Service and Maintenance of 10,000 Km Light Vehicle Injection System) of 61.54% (48) participants are declared competent and 38.46% (30) declared not yet competent (including very low category), (2) the distribution of competency units shows that in scheme 01, competency unit that most competent participant is OTO.SM02.001.01 (Maintaining Engine with its Components) that is equal to 73.33%, in the scheme of 02 competency units that most participants are not competent are OTO.KR02.014.01 (Maintenance / Service of Gasoline Fuel System) and OTO.KR05.011.01 (Fixing Ignition System) that is equal to 100% , whereas in the scheme of 03 competency unit that most participants are not competent is OTO.KR05.012.01 (Maintaining / Servicing and Improving Engine Management system) that is equal to 76.67%.

Abstract

This study was intended to improve the activeness of the students and the learning outcomes on Basic Technology of Automotive course in SMK N 1 Sedayu through the implementation of two stay two stray method. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) and was conducted in two cycles. The research design in each cycle uses four steps/stages of CAR as follows, (1) planning, (2) acting, (3) observing, and (4) reflecting. The research subjects are students of class X TKR B SMK N 1 Sedayu in even semester 2018/2019. Data collection process was conducted through the observation sheet to know how high the level of activeness of the students, and observe the implementation of two stay two stray method, and the evaluation test to know the level of student learning outcomes. The implementation of two stay two stray method successfully improves the activeness and the learning outcomes if the percentage of students activeness reaches 70% (good category) and as many as 75% of students have completed KKM (good category) namely the minimun score of learning outcomes is 75. The result of the research points out that the implementation of two stay two stray method in the learning process could improve the activeness of the students and the learning outcomes of grade X students of TKR B in SMK N 1 Sedayu. This is proven in cycle II the percentage of students activeness and learning outcomes have been reached the success indicator determined with the percentage of activeness reaches 76% (good category) and students completed KKM reaches 81% (very good category).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mengetahui implementasi program Sekolah Sub T-TEP Toyota di SMK Negeri 2 Pengasih; (2) mengetahui efektivitas program pembelajaran Sekolah Sub T-TEP Toyota di SMK Negeri 2 Pengasih ditinjau dari hasil pembelajaran siswa; (3) mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mendukung dan menghambat dalam kerjasama program Sekolah Sub T-TEP Toyota di SMK Negeri 2 Pengasih. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pemilihan subjek penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan angket tertutup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) implementasi program kemitraan antara SMK Negeri 2 Pengasih dengan PT. Toyota Astra Motor diketahui telah berjalan dan terlaksana. Keempat aspek program yaitu implementasi kurikulum, pelatihan guru, kerjasama industri dalam pelaksanaan praktik kerja industri siswa, dan kerjasama donasi alat dan peralatan diketahui sudah terlaksana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 15 indikator program dalam kategori sesuai, 3 indikator dalam kategori sangat sesuai dan 2 indikator kurang sesuai; (2) program pembelajaran Sekolah Sub T-TEP Toyota diketahui belum berhasil dan efektif, dikarenakan persentase ketuntasan belajar kelas XII TKR 1 dan 2 hanya sebesar 48,39% dan 25,00%; (3) faktor pendukung dalam pelaksanaan program yaitu adanya dukungan dari pemerintah, komitmen, antusiasme, sarana dan prasarana sekolah yang memadai serta kualitas SDM siswa yang bagus, sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah pemahaman serta keterampilan guru yang belum 100% menguasai teknologi Toyota, keterbatasan dalam transfer teknologi serta keterbatasan biaya.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine:  1) The level of safety riding for students of Mechanical Engineering Education; and 2) The level of eco riding for students of Mechanical Engineering Education. The type of research used is descriptive. The research population was all students of Mechanical Engineering Education at The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. The sample was taken using the Stratified random sampling technique which found 199 students. The instrument used is a multiple choice test to measure the level of safety riding and the level of eco riding. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics. The result results showed that: 1) The level of safety riding for students of Mechanical Engineering Education was categorized very hight with an average value of 24,78; and 2) 1) The level of eco riding for students of Mechanical Engineering Education was categorized very hight with an average value of 6,85.

Abstract

Based on the low participation of the student during the classroom activities, this study aimed to improve students’ participation and academic achievement on Mathematics. The procedures of this study consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. There were 24 students of Class XI KR 3 SMK N 3 Yogyakarta 2013/2014 participated in this study. Data were obtained through observation sheets, student worksheets, test, and notes. This study implemented a Cooperative learning model action at Two Stay Two Stray. The students were divided into 6 groups (each group consisted 4 students). The results revealed that (1) the students who actively participated in the classroom activities are 77.08%; (2) the students who passed the test 77.35%, and (3) the students who passed the minimum criteria for the study are 87.5%. It can be concluded that implementing Cooperative Learning, Two Stay Two Stray model, is effective to enhance students’ participation and academic achievement in mathematics.

Abstract

This research aimed to (1) identify the type of android-based learning media suitable for the vocational school’s students, (2) develop android-based learning media, and (3) validate the android-based learning media. This study is a Research and Development (RD) adapted from Sugiyono’s Model. It took place in a Public Vocational High School in Purbalingga. Research data were collected using questioner dan analysed using descriptive analysis. The result showed that: (1) the identifed of learning media necessary were (a) font “Times New Roman”, (b) font size “15 pt”, (c) font colour “following Background”, (d) align text “justify”, (e) picture orientation “above”, (f) background colour “blue”, (g) button tittle “text”, (h) button animation “moving”, (i) backsound “Off”, (j) button sound effect “Click”. There were seven steps of (2) developing learing media, they are  (a) designing product, (b) Collecting product’s source, (c) creating product, (d) validating product, (e) revising I, (f) testing product, (g) revising II. The (3) learning media was categorized “very good” meant that this media learning was valid to used.
