Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze between placemet and development the staff with workperformance of the staff Pardede International Hotel Medan. The methode of research which used ismethode of survey with respondent total 40 people, which choosen according of proportional randomsampling. Which using quesioner to collect the variable of data positioning, developmend and good jobperformance. The result of this research find that : 1. There is positif relationship between placement (X¹) with good work performance (Y) withcoefisien corelation ry¹ =0,6767 and regretion equation y = 25,31 + 0,74 X¹ 2. There is positif relationship between development (X²) with good work perpormance (Y) withcorrelation coeficient ry² = 0,7112 and regression equation y= 33,15+0,65X² 3. There is positif relationship between placement (X¹) and development (X²) by doing togetherwith good work performance (Y) with double correlation coeficient Ry 123 = 0,793 and doubleof regression equation y = 10,78 + 0,453 (X¹) + 0,451 (X²) According about that research, the researcher can take the conclusion that good work performance of thestaff Pardede International Medan can improved by the attention about the correct employee placement.(the right man on the right place) accourding with the ability and skill with doing development of the staffto fostering ability of the staff and to create the personality, ability, skill to inovation, initiative anddicipline

Abstract

Investment and Promotion Agency of North Sumatra Province is the spearhead in attracting both FDI and domestic investment. The agency prepared a material role in the formulation of technical policy in the field of investment and promotion. In order to encourage investment regions, required appropriate promotional strategies to be considered by the local government, thus increasing investment in North Sumatra. Various activities are carried out and followed by the Investment and Promotion Agency of North Sumatra has not a significant impact in increasing investment, increasing promotional activity is not in line with the increase in the value of investments. The purpose of this research is to develop an effective promotional strategy that can increase the expected value of the investment. The population in this study were 7 people who become the most competent and feel the impact of investment promotion in North Sumatra. This type of research in this study is qualitative research, the data analysis through SWOT analysis. The results of data analysis showed that the stability strategy is an appropriate strategy to improve the effectiveness of investment promotion in North Sumatra. Stability Strategy aims to be diversified range of media campaigns and promotional activities increased intensity.

Abstract

Cassava is the main carbohydrate resource commodity and has a economic potential for the community living in Desa Bajarongi Kecamatan Dolok Masihul Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Besides crops and cassava rice, it is also one of the leading commodities in an area. An assessment was conducted in April 2016 on the people of the village of Bajaronggi, Dolok Masihul Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai District on the use of cassava for horse food. The purpose of the study is that cassava has a good prospect for processed food and can be developed as an increase in economic income through home-based businesses in the village. Survey and direct observation are the methods used in this study. Where sampling is done by sampling or by group, the data is analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The output of this research shows that most of the harvest of cassava is straightly processed and made cassava starch and mocaf (modified cassava flour). The community is tended to underutilization cassava. As it may recognize nowadays that cassava can be used to make variety of products like snacks, cookies and traditional cakes. The community used cassava for their own need only. The total number for cassava harvest is 272.173 tons, which means that this commodity is reasonable to be developed in different kind of processed food products and increased the financial income of the community in Desa Bajaronggi Kecamatan Dolok Masihul Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul : Teknik Promosi Paket Wisata Religi Yerusalem Di PT. Green Deli Holidays Tour & Travel Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui teknik promosi paket wisata religi Yerusalem dan kendala yang dihadapi dalam promosi paket wisata religi Yerusalem di PT. Green Deli Holidays Tour & Travel Medan. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah teknik promosi paket wisata rohani Yerusalem. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 5 orang yaitu seluruh karyawan PT. Green Deli Holidays Tour & Travel Medan (karena semua terlibat dalam kegiatan promosi) yang berjumlah 4 orang di tambah 1 orang pemilik. Pengumpulan data dengan cara penelitian kepustakaan dan penelitian lapangan melalui wawancara dan observasi. Penelitian dilakukan di :PT. Green Deli Holidays Tour & Travel Medan. Jln. Menteng Raya No. 385B, Binjai, Medan Denai, Kota Medan. Website : www. Greendeliholidays.co.id . Waktu penelitian dilakukan mulai tanggal 13 Agustus – 30 Agustus 2018. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa teknik promosi belum dilaksanakan secara maksimal. Teknik promosi yang belum dilaksanakan tersebut adalah kekurangan tenaga promosi dan tidak adanya public relations yang menjaga image perusahaan termasuk produk jasa yang dipasarkan. Tenaga promosi yang ada belum handal melakukan promosi. Kekurangan tenaga promosi ini disebabkan keterbatasan biaya. Pemasangan iklan belum dilakukan padahal iklan dapat menjangkau masyarakat yang lebih luas. Dalam hal penyediaan sales support sudah cukup baik karena selalu menyediakan brosur sebagai alat promosi. Perencanaan selalu dibuat sesuai prinsip sebelum promosi dilaksanakan. Hasil lain memperlihatkan bahwa penjualan paket wisata religi Yeruslem yang tidak mengalami peningkatan bukan karena penyusunan paket wisata karena penyusunan paket wisata religi Yerusalem sudah dilakukan semenarik mungkin dan sesuai kebutuhan. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam promosi paket wisata religi Yerusalem di PT. Green Deli Holidays Tour & Travel Medan adalah kurangnya tenaga promosi dan tidak adanya public relation. Tenaga promosi yang ada belum semua terampil mempengaruhi calon pelanggan agar mau membeli paket wisata religi Yerusalem. Kendala berikutnya adalah harga paket wisata religi Yerusalem bila dirupiahkan terbilang mahal sehingga mereka menunda atau tidak membeli paket tersebut dengan memilih paket wisata lain atau lebih mendahulukan memenuhi kebutuhan yang lebih penting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Peran Kompetensi Sumber Daya Manusia Pengelola Homestay Berbasis Entrepreneurship di Desa Silimalombu Samosir Dalam Meningkatkan Minat Wisatawan Mancanegara Berkunjung ke Kabupaten Samosir. Bermaksud mengungkap peran kompetensi sumber daya manusia pengelola homestay berbasis entrepreneurship di Desa Silimalombu Samosir dalam meningkatkan minat wisatawan mancanegara berkunjung ke Kabupaten Samosir. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Deskriptif Kualitatif untuk mengetahui dan menggambarkan secara utuh bagaimana partisipasi masyarakat yang ada di Kabupaten Samosir dalam pembangunan dan pengembangan Pariwisata. Waktu penelitian diadakan di bulan Maret hingga Juli 2019. Peneliti sebagai instrument penelitian juga melakukan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi secara langsung ke homestay yang ada di Silimalombu Samosir. Peneliti juga melakukan studi pustaka terkait data yang dibutuhkan dari penelitian sejenis. Dari penelitian ditemukan Homestay berbasis entrepreneur ternyata menarik minat wisatawan asing berkunjung ke Samosir. Meski jumlahnya tidak signifikan karena terbatasnya kamar, Homestay Ecovillage Silimalombu sudah berkontribusi. Jika konsep ini bisa diadopsi di homestay yang berada di Samosir, dengan keunikan masing-masing, maka turis asing yang datang akan lebih banyak.

Abstract

Medan is the third largest city in Indonesia and making Medan one of the destinations for visiting business and tourism activists. To support these activities, the role of the hotel is usually needed for tourists visiting an area. Based on the North Sumatra Central Bureau of Statistics the percentage of room occupancy rates in the city of Medan, the highest average is a four-star hotel. Some four-star hotels in Medan (Adimulia, Four Points, Emerald Garden and Santika Hotels) utilize digital marketing to promote and increase occupancy rates in managed hotels. This research uses qualitative methods, by collecting various data sources through observation and literature study. The results of this study indicate that by utilizing digital marketing, hotels can increase the number of visits through reviews provided by visitors to increase the hotel profile.

Abstract

The use of digital technology is expected to help the Dairi Regency Culture and Tourism Office develop and build Objects and Attractions of the Sitmano Iman Tourism Park and how businesses attract tourists through Digital utilization so that tourist attractions are visited and know the obstacles that exist. The analytical method used is field research to find out the problem directly from the field as well as conducting library research by reading books related to research and conducting interviews both with visitors, staff and employees of the Dairi Regency Culture and Tourism Office. From the research carried out that the local government has begun to develop using Digital Information & Technology but it has not been maximized and improvements to existing objects and facilities are proven by the addition of tourist facilities and attractions and it is hoped that the government can place competent human resources to manage these attractions in meaning the government positions competent and quality human resources and cooperates with travel and other private parties in addition to the use of Digital Information Technology so that the Faith Tourism Park can be well promoted and bring in more tourists.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the communication that occurs between travel bloggers about the city of Medan as a tourist destination. The purpose of this study is to obtain a clear picture of the extent of the travel blogger writing that discusses tourist destinations in the city of Medan used as a reference for tourists to visit the city of Medan. The study was conducted with a qualitative descriptive approach based on content analysis theory. The results of this study can provide benefits and input for tourism businesses and the city government of Medan to participate in contributing information, facilities and infrastructure of tourist attractions in the city of Medan in particular.

Abstract

Museum Uang Sumatera merupakan salah satu museum uang yang berada di Pulau Sumatera dan museum yang mengoleksi berbagai jenis uang kuno yang pernah berlaku di Indonesia. Museum Uang Sumatera belum begitu luas diketahui oleh masyarakat khusunya di Kota Medan termasuk wisatawan luar negeri. Oleh karena itu pihak Museum Uang Sumatera harus bersaing dalam hal pengelolaan dan berusaha untuk menarik minat masyarakat untuk mengunjungi Museum Uang Sumatera. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah potensi yang ada di Museum Uang Sumatera sudah dikembangkan, untuk mengetahui apa saja faktor pendorong dan penghambat pengembangan objek dan daya tarik wisata Museum Uang Sumatera, serta untuk mengetahui apa saja upaya yang dilakukan oleh manajemen dan dinas pariwisata Kota Medan tentang publikasi wisata Museum Uang Sumatera. Museum Uang Sumatera memiliki potensi salah satunya mempunyai koleksi uang kuno terlengkap di Sumatera, tetapi potensi yang dimiliki Museum Uang Sumatera belum dikembangkan secara maksimal baik melalui promosi terhadap masyarakat sekitar maupun masyarakat luar. Disamping memiliki potensi, Museum Uang Sumatera juga memiliki faktor pendorong yaitu memiliki koleksi uang terlengkap diantara museum uang yang ada di Indonesia, dan faktor penghambat yaitu kurangnya pendanaan dari pihak pemerintah Sumatera Utara, belum memiliki fasilitas yang lengkap, perawatan gedung masih kurang, dan status tanah Museum Uang Sumatera masih milik Pemerintah. Adapun upaya yang telah dilakukan Dinas Pariwisata terhadap Museum Uang Sumatera yaitu belum ada, sedangkan upaya yang telah dilakukan pihak Museum Uang Sumatera yaitu memperkenalkan ke beberapa sekolah.Saran kepada pihak Museum Uang Sumatera adalah memberikan dan menambah fasilitas yang sangat dibutuhkan pengunjung untuk kenyamanan pengunjung dan menambah kegiatan seperti melakukan event sebulan sekali untuk menarik minat pengunjung. Dan saran kepada Dinas Pariwisata Kota Medan yaitu mempromosikan Museum Uang Sumatera ke masyarakat luas mengenai Museum Uang Sumatera agar masyarakat semakin banyak berkunjung dan mengetahui tentang Museum Uang Sumatera.

Abstract

Tourism has strategic economic value for the country, not onlyit generate income for the country but also improve the economic life of the surrounding population. With this, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia advised local governments to promote the tourism out of the country to introduce the tourism potential of the region and national as well as in the public diplomacy.According to that,Medan Investment, Trade & Tourism Expo (MITT) has established offices in different countries, one of which is in Malaysia. This study analyzed the role ofMITT in Malaysia as a commitment to promote tourism in Sumatera Utara. The authors examined the amount of travelers to Sumatera Utara from Malaysia.
