Abstract

The management of tourism resources illustrates an important element to be taken into account for conventional tourism development which tends to be exploitative and ignores the carrying capacity of the physical and social environment. Because the development of the tourism industry is obliged to maintain the quality of the environment, maintaining the noble heritage of local cultural traditions which is useful for increasing economic growth. If the manager of tourism resources is ignored and not managed properly, the process of destruction of nature and traditional values ​​will occur more quickly and will have an impact on the sustainability of the tourism ecosystem in Tobasa district. What is the condition of the tourism resource managers in Tarabunga and Lumban Silintong Villages, Tobasa Regency, is the tourism resource management in Tarabunga and Lumban Silintong Villages, Tobasa Regency following the principles of sustainable tourism. The paradigm shift from production-centered development to people-centered development has implications for the emergence of new management, known as Local Resource Management (PSDL) or community based resource management. This new development management has changed the role of government bureaucracy to create conditions that give people the ability to develop themselves. This study analyzes ecology-based tourism resource management using descriptive methods by analyzing data qualitatively. This method is used to collect data and information about local situations and conditions based on accurate facts. The management of tourism resources in Tarabunga and Lumban Silintong Villages in Tobasa District has not been integral because it does not involve local communities. The local community as the host is placed in a position outside the management system. Less attention to sustainable principles in preserving the environment, nature and local culture which results in disharmony of nature. Institutional functions that do not yet exist also involve the surrounding community which is still very minimal and also some aspects that are still not good, such as accessibility and management of the physical environment which still tends to be neglected.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential of the Colorful Village of Tigarihit Village and the extent of community participation to develop this village as a leading tourist attraction and attraction in Simalungun Regency. This is important to study because the Colorful Village of Tigarihit has the potential to develop when viewed from 3A; Attractions, accessibility and amenities. Especially if it is supported by community participation around. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach. It is designed to dig deeper into the tourism potentials of the colorful village of Tigarihit in Simalungun Regency and the extent of community participation in supporting the development of these attractions.

Abstract

Marketing strategy is a comprehensive, integrated and unified plan in the field of marketing, which provides guidance on the activities to be carried out in order to achieve the marketing objectives of a company. This research is descriptive qualitative, data obtained from the results of field research, namely the method used to obtain information by conducting interviews directly with relevant sources, such as; the tour manager and marketing staff of PT. Narasindo Tour & Travel Medan and library research which is a method used to obtain information by reading books related to research. From the discussion of the data that has been obtained in the field, the authors conclude that the Marketing Strategy of Lake Toba TourPackage to Kuala Lumpur at PT. Narasindo Tour and Travel Medan, which is participating in tourist exhibitions in Kuala Lumpur, sales visits to Kuala Lumpur, holding table top in Kuala Lumpur, internet or marketing through social media, and having famtrip tours.

Abstract

In providing good service to guests, Reception plays an important role in a hotel to improve the quality of service to guests at the Danau Toba International Hotel, Medan that has not been carried out properly, especially when guests are at the hotel, check-in and check-out, one of them is the lack of service quality in attention and care for guests, resulting in guests feeling unappreciated. The data were obtained by conducting direct observations in the field, namely the Danau Toba International Hotel, Medan with the library research method and field research through direct interviews with front office staff. In this case, the population and samples in the study are the front office staff, Reception staff and guests who visit Danau Toba International Hotel, Medan. The research was carried out directly at the Front Office at the Danau Toba International Hotel, Medan where the causes of reception service quality problems were found in giving good care and attention to guests, resulting in guests feeling dissatisfied, and not being appreciated in providing good service quality to guests. .

Abstract

In a tourism indusrty, especially those engaged in the hotel business, the tearm called occupancy, which means more or less the occupancy rate of hotel rooms. Room occupancy rate is expressed as a percentage of tha ratio of rooms sold compared to the total available hotel rooms or the total number of rooms that can be sold. The research method used is field research, namely the researcher goes directly to the field and makes observations, library research, namely by collecting data through books and references that are relevant to the title that has been proposed. The result was the existenced of OYO and RedDrooz influenced occupancy of Harper Wahid Hasyim Hotel Medan due to OYO and RedDrooz can give the good facilities and best price than Harper Wahid Hasyim Hotel Medan. As for the suggestion, the hotel management reduce the room rate, improve service quality and provide a employees hotel training in order they are able to compete with OYO and RedDrooz.

Abstract

The Pastry section is under the auspices of the food and beverage product department, which is tasked with processing cakes and breads in the hotel. The pastry section must be able to prepare and produce cakes that are really high quality, healthy and attractive for consumption. There are many variations of cakes at El Royale Hotel Bandung, good and interesting, but the author wants to process the cake recipe from the existing pandan sponge recipe and than vary it by adding Moringa leaves. The author hopes that moringa leaves will not only add variety, but also fulfill the nutrion of consumers. There fore, so that cakes consumed have high nutritional value, the authors want to modify the cake by fortification (adding) the ingredients to the cake by adding Moringa leaves to the pandan sponge processing at El Royale Hotel bandung. The author conducts direct research through interviews and observations during the production process of pandan sponge cake, the author also looks for theories about moringa leaves and pandanus cake and trials (testfood) in the laboratory of the Darma Agung Medan tourism and hospitality Academy. Trials (experiments) were Carried out for 2 (two) months. The process of processing Moringa leaves are added to add nutrion. The results of making moringa leaf pandanus sponge are very good and interesting as evidenced by the results of trials that have been assessed. Well by the campus community who have given positive comments and like moringa leaf pandanus sponge. The author hopes that this moringa pandan sponge , recipe can be recommended to be processed in the kitchen of El Royale hotel Bandung as a healthy snack.

Abstract

Cemara Indah GosongTelaga beach is one of the attractions located in the village of GosongTelaga, North Singkil sub-district, Aceh Singkil Regency, the potential of this beach is its natural beauty, a fairly wide stretch of white sand. However, the management of this beach is not well managed. The purpose of this study was to find out how the management efforts at Natural Tourism Objects and Attractions of Pantai Cemara Indah Gosong Telaga In North Singkil Sub-District,Aceh Singkil Regency. The research method carried out by the researchers is descriptive qualitative by direct research to the field (field research) and literature research (library research), namely reading books related to the researchers' writings. The conclusions of the research carried out by researchers: (1) The potential and attractiveness of Cemara Indah GosongTelagabeach in North SingkilSub-district, Aceh Singkil Regency is that it has beautiful natural potential and is still natural. (2) The management of Cemara Indah GosongTelaga beach has problems or obstacles faced in developing Cemara Indah GosongTelaga beach due to the lack of procurement and development of the required facilities, and infrastructure. (3) Efforts in the development of Cemara Indah GosongTelagabeach include increasing physical development, facilities and infrastructure as well as tourist facilities such as hotels or accommodations, restaurants, clean water, prayer rooms, electricity, telecommunications, roads, bridges, parking lots, security posts, health clinics, and others. The researchers’ suggestion from the research results is that the government and other related parties (stakeholders)try to develop both facilities and infrastructure in the tourist area of ​​​​Cemara Indah GosongTelaga beach.

Abstract

Jargon is a part of language to communicate in the society. A good marketing system certainly shows the good quality of a hotel without overriding the other departments in a hotel.A profession of sales marketing staff department interesting to analyzed. The environment of the job description sometimes created a phenomenon to show off. Jargon is one of interesting to analyzed in the sales & marketing department. This research focuses on understanding how to find out interesting words specifically used in hotels and are more specific in the sales marketing department. The data of the study were taking by the daily conversation between marketing staffs in Aryaduta Hotel Medan. There have six persons in charge as a sales marketing a day. All of sales have specific jargon to communicate, that’s why this research only focuses of the jargon used in the sales &marketing department. The study conducted by qualitative research. The data analyzed based on reality that occur in the present and have occurred in the past based on the article as a reference. The result showedthat an abbreviation exposed to minimize the wrong meaning or errors to understand the real meaning during operational. Acronym showed to make sales person easier pronounced the terminology during operational as an easy way to communicate.

Abstract

Kepuasaan adalah yang bersifat puas, kesenanganan, dan kelegaan. Dan pelayanan secara umum adalah kegiatan yang ditujukan untuk kepuasaan kepada tamu, melalui pelayanan ini kebutuhan dan keinginan tamu akan terpenuhi. Restoran merupakan suatu tempat atau bangunan yang diorganisasi secara komersial yang menyelenggarakan pelayanan yang baik kepada semua tamunya baik berupa makan dan minum. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian melalui observasi di Hotel Grand Antares saya menemukan banyak tamu yang mengeluh tentang keterlambatan pesanan makanan dan minuman yang disajikankepada tamu, diakibatkan karena kurangnya komunikasi pramusaji kepada kitchen, dimana berdasarkan tabel 6 orang / 46% staff menyatakan memberikan pelayanan dengan puas, tamu akan puas jika tamu mendapatkan apa yang mereka inginkan. Bahkan lebih sangat puas jikalau tamu mendapatkan pelayanan yang di luar dari ekspetasi. Tetapi kalau tamu mendapatkan ketidakpuasan, tamu tidak akan kembali ke Restoran di Hotel Grand Antares Indonesia, Medan. Masalah terhadap prosedur pesanan taking order karean kurangnya komunikasi pramusaji terhadap staf kitchen, dan ada juga masalah upaya yang dilakukan dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pelayanan pengantaran makanan dan minuman. Dengan kurang maksimalnya petugas pramusaji dalam memberikan pelayanan maka dari itu penulis tertarik untuk meneliti tentang Kepuasan Tamu Terhadap Pelayanan Pramusaji Restoran Astro Hotel Grand Antares Indonesia, Medan.

Abstract

This study is entitled Development Planning of Ecotourism in Bulbul Beach, Balige, as a Guidelines of Tourism Product. Researcher intend to research about the spatial and a-spatial actual condition in Bulbul Beach, and to know whether this actual condition is capable to be developed as an Ecotourism concept with the Sustainable Tourism as the guidelines for making of Tourism Product in the near future. From this research was found that the management of tourism facilities is still poor. Furthermore, by the physical and non-physical evidence of the actual condition of Bulbul Beach still significant to be developed with sustainable development guidelines for Tourism Product, with the use of Ecotourism planning principals.
