Aksara merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Batanghari dan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini merupakan jurnal penelitian yang mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian asli, studi kepustakaan, dan tulisan terkait dengan fokus pada kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, kajian bahasa dan kajian sastra. Semua artikel ditinjau oleh 4 orang reviewer, 2 orang reviewer internal dan 2 orang reviewer eksternal. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun setiap bulan April dan bulan September, jurnal aksara ini dapat diakses pembaca, jurnal aksara ini berisi hasil penelitian pustaka maupun hasil penelitian lapangan. Jurnal ini meliputi beberapa ranah Ilmu sebagai berikut: 1. Kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia meliputi bidang pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa, pembelajaran linguistik, pembelajaran semantik, pembelajaran pragmatik, pembelajaran wacana, pembelajaran sosiolinguistik, pembelajaran psikolinguistik serta pembelajaran puisi, pembelajaran prosa, pembelajaran fiksi, pembelajaran drama. 2. Kajian Bahasa Indonesia meliputi: fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, analisis wacana, semantik, pragmatik, sosiolinguistik, psikolinguistik, bahasa dan budaya, dialektologi, dokumentasi bahasa, serta bidang keilmuan lain yang berkaitan dengan kajian kebahasaan. 3. Kajian Sastra Indonesia meliputi: sastra lisan dan sastra modern berupa kajian puisi, prosa fiksi dan drama.

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing contextual meaning in the song lukah gilo of Tebo Regency society Jambi city. This research is qualitative descriptive. The data is the lyric of lukah gilo song of Tebo regency society Jambi city (Hermeneutics structural). Meanwhile the technique of collecting data is observation, interview, and recording. The result of this research shows the description of how contextual meaning in the song lukah gilo of Tebo regency society Jambi city (hermeneutics structural), they are: (1) Contextual meaning on the song lyric of lukah gilo related with lexical meaning, (2) Contextual meaning which is related with situational context (place and time), (3) Contextual meaning which is related with belief, (4) Contextual meaning which is related with animism, (5) Contextual meaning which is related with faith. The contextual meaning in the song lukah gilo consists of 72 lines and  dan 11 verses.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the abbreviation form and acronym used in the criminal daily news of Tribun Jambi March edition 2019. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive. The data are taken from the daily issue of Tribun Jambi March edition 2019. The technique of collecting the data is documentation. The results show that, from all 16 data, there are only 4 forms of acronyms and 1 abbreviation form were found in the daily criminal news of Tribun Jambi March edition 2019. From all three forms of the acronym, there is 2 quotations which represents  the first letter of the acronym; there is 7 quotations which represents the first two-letter retention of each component; theere is 10 quotations which represents the first three-letter for each component; and there are 12 quotations which represents the retention of many letters and syllables that are difficult to formulate. While on the abbreviation, it is found only the first letter retention of each component as much as 51 quotations.

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing the protagonist character in the film Kartini by  Hanung Bramantyo. This research is descriptive. The result of the research shows that: (1) the aspect of generosity found in the novel Kartini which means that she likes to give a help to other people. (2) the aspect of honesty found in the character Kartini who likes to be honest to other people. (3) the aspect of sincerity which means that she likes to be sincere towards people who give her compliments as if she is not a person with reputation while she is. (4) the aspect of smart in which she always knows how to make a decision to solve problems. (5) the aspect of independence in which she always tries to send scholarship proposal to continue her study in Netherlands without bothering others. (6) the aspect of loyalty to friends in which she (7) the aspect of defence in which she always defends and fights for woman’s and she is brave to say the truth whenever she faces problems. Based on the result of the analysis, it can be found that the most dominant aspect is sincerity and defend. Meanwhile the less dominant aspect is generosity and independence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of satirical language style in the film Comic 8 Casino King Part 2 by Anggy Umbara, which consists of three forms, namely irony, cynicism, and sarcasm. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a structural approach. The primary data in this study are dialogues relating to satirical language style (irony, cynicism, sarcasm) contained in Comic 8 Movie Casino King Part 2 by Anggy Umbara. Secondary data in this study is a transcript of conversations from Comic 8 Casino King Part 2 by Anggy Umbara. Data were analyzed using the concepts of Tarigan, Keraf, and Purwandi. Based on the results of the analysis research it can be concluded that there are (1) the form of irony satire language style which is a subtle allusion, found in some data including the items, hair smells only, and longish Eh contained in seventeen quotes. (2) Cynicism satirical form of style which is a satire containing ridicule of sincerity and sincerity is found in some data including cowards, sissy, and killer forces contained in five quotations. (3) The form of sarcasm satire language style which is the most crude allusions found in some data including crazy, stupid, and use a little brain contained in eight quotations.

Abstract

This research aims to describe religious values which are related to the relationship of humans to humans (habluminannas) in the novel Karena Aku Memilih-Mu by Hamas Syahid. This research is descriptive qualitative. The source of the data is the novel Karena Aku Memilih-Mu by Hamas Syahid. The data is acquired by using documentation technique with content analysis. The result of the research shows that: (1) the aspect of helping each other in a form of handing a help withoud asking, handing a help without differentiating tribe, race, and religion, and working together; (2) the aspect of keeping a promise in the form of secure trust and trustworthy; (3) the aspect of being fair in the form of treating a person equally, and not favoring anyone; (4) the aspect of forgiving in the form of forgiving someone’s mitakes, trying to think positively and forgiving the wrongdoers, and giving sincere apologize. The most dominant aspect of religious values related to humans to humans (Habluminannas) is the aspect of helping each other with the total number of 50 quotes, while while the fewest one is the aspect of being fair with the total number of 7 quotes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to describe the personification figurative language in the novel Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck by Hamka”. There are many kinds of personification in the novel Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck by Hamka. The data of this research is primary data in a form of utterances which have personification figurative language in the novel Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck by Hamka. The source of the data is the novel Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck by Hamka. This research is qualitative by using content analysis. By collecting whola data, choosing, then analyzing the data, the personification figurative language in the novel Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck by Hamka can be understood. The researcher then interprets the data in the forms of utterances in the novel. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the personification in the novel Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck by Hamka consists of personification which can be seen from the words ombak, tenang, hidup, senja, makan, angin, jembatan

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing the forms and usage of temporal conjunction by using Indriani and Chaer theory. This research explains the forms and usage of temporal conjunction in the kumpulan cerita rakyat Melayu Jambi by Iskandar Zakaria. This research is qualitative descriptive. The data of this research is kumpulan cerita rakyat Melayu Jambi by Iskandar Zakaria (Discourse Analysis). The technique of data collection is by using documentation technique. The result of this research shows the description about the forms and usage of temporal conjunction in the Kumpulan Cerita Rakyat Melayu Jambi by Iskandar Zakaria (Discourse Analysis). Those forms are ketika, sewaktu, sementara, sebelum, setelah, and selagi. Those forms are specified based on the sequence of permulaan, waktu bersamaan, waktu berurutan, and waktu batas akhir in which each of them has their own function.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe (1) the values of local genius on the traditional custom expressions in the stage pre-marriage of the society in Remban Muratara District Sumsel Province; (2) The values of local genius on the traditional custom expressions in the stage of the wedding day of the society in Remban Muratara Regency Sumsel Province; (3) The values of local genius on the traditional custom expressions in the stage of post-marriage in  Remban District Muratara Sumsel province. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The data in this research is the traditional custom expressions of marriage ceremony. The is data analyzed by using content analysis technique. Based on the analysis of the data, it shows that : (1) Local genius values in the aspect of courtesy norms on traditional custom expressions in the stage of pre-marriage in Remban Muratara Sumsel is politeness norm which can bes seen from the expression man di kami segalo jadi, kalu di kawan bukan saot, (2) The values of local genius in the aspect of politeness norms on traditional custom expressions of the wedding day in Remban District Muratara Sumsel province is modesty norm which can be seen in the expression tepak ko betando kami menepati janji, and (3) the values of local genius in the aspect of politeness values of the traditional custom expression in the stage of post-marriage in Remban Muratara Regency of Sumsel Province is modesty which can be seen in the expression kami menabor beras kunyit, selamatan hidup sampai mati.
