Abstract

Hypertension contributes 9.4 million deaths from cardiovascular disease each year. The cause of hypertension is because some people have a bad lifestyle, people often do not maintain their diet and people often eat salted and fatty foods. The purpose of this research is to find out the factors that influence Primary Hypertension in Dusun Bukong, Pandu Raya Village, West Kalimantan in 2018. This research method used quantitative methods with descriptive correlation design and cross sectional approach. By using the Slovin formula a total sample of 197 respondents was obtained. The results of the study, by conducting a univariate analysis found that most respondents had a level of knowledge related to hypertension (62.9%), more than half had a good lifestyle (58.4%), income above the MSE (57.9%) and more of half had hypertension (54.9%). From the bivariate analysis using the Kendall's Tau B test and Kendall's Tau C, the results of the study are found: there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge (p value = 0,000), lifestyle (p value = 0,000) and income (p value = 0.047) with the incidence of hypertension . Discussion: Knowledge, lifestyle and family income in Dusun Bukong, Pandu Raya village have a significant relationship with the incidence of hypertension, so that health workers are expected to continue to provide support and motivation to the community to continue to improve their knowledge and a healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

Increasing elderly population is a problem in Indonesia. Many problems faced in elderly. Elderly are high risk to experience a disease or illness. As well as, long term care is needed for release the disease. A changing in biopsychosocial also important for service provider to control the effect. Collaboration and partnerships is useful to develop strengthening in creating health care system. Furthermore, policy maker and service provider are also better able to review and refine their existing measure, policies, product and geriatric service, which target elderly population in Indonesia.

Abstract

WHO reported that 30-50% of teenagers pregnance have until 19 year old in the world (2011) .in Indonesia, Teenagers having sex in Bandung, 54%, 51% Jakarta, and Surabaya 47% (JPNN, 2014). Campaign for teenagers condom use not accordance with Indonesian culture. Indonesia is not justified HIV prevention and teen pregnancy with condom use campaign. Phenomenological study method by in-depth interview nurses in the community about the experience of involving parents, teens, and peers to prevent free sex in adolescents. The result is that in order to prevent free sex in adolescents should involve parents, teens, and peers.

Abstract

CPAP maintains the positive pressure of the baby's airways during spontaneous, simple, and effective breathing. The use of CPAP decreases breathing difficulties, reduces dependence on oxygen, helps repair and maintains lung residual capacity, prevents upper airway obstruction and prevents lung collapse. Good CPAP behaviour reduces the risk or complications that occur in neonates such as nasal injuries, pneumothoracs and gastric distension. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge with CPAP usage behaviour in neonates in the NICU room at X Bekasi Hospital and Depok Y Hospital. Quantitative research methods, descriptive analytic design. A total sampling of 30 nurse respondents worked in the NICU room in X Bekasi Hospital and Depok Y Hospital. Measuring instruments using a questionnaire. Statistical tests with Chi Square, Kendals Tau B and Kendals Tau C. The results of the majority of respondents aged 26-35 years 53.3%, D3 Nursing education 90%, working period between 1-5 years 40%, and those who have attended training 73 , 3%. There was no significant relationship between age (p = 0.136), education (p = 0.897), years of service (p = 0.099), training (p = 0.322), knowledge (p = 0.284) with CPAP usage behaviour in neonates. It is hoped that this research can improve nurses 'knowledge in caring for neonates by using respiratory aids, CPAP by conducting continuous training to improve nurses' behaviour in preventing complications.Keywords: neonates, knowledge, CPAP usage

Abstract

Stunting is malnutrition a long time and have an adverse impact on health status, growth and development of children. Signs and symptoms of stunting is child's posture is short i.e. the height is not appropriate with age. Malnutrition in children is related to the characteristics of the family as a place of growing and the care of the child. This research is descriptive quantitative research with the aim to analyze the characteristics of families with children who suffer from stunting. The study population 136 as much as with the total sample of 30 mothers who have children and toddlers with simple random sampling. Data collection using a questionnaire, consisting of demographic data, the role of family function and health status associated with stunting. Data analysis univariate. Abstract

Cancer is a group of diseases that occur due to changes in body cells into abnormal cells. Treatment of breast cancer takes a long time and has a negative impact on the physical and mental patients. The cause of patients not following chemotherapy treatment routinely and leaving the chemotherapy treatment schedule in one treatment cycle is because the patient's physical condition is not strong so he cannot continue treatment. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in developing countries. Every year the number of cancer sufferers in the world increases to 6.25 million people. In developed countries, cancer is the second leading cause of death after card iovascular diseases.This research is descriptive quantitative research with the aim to analyze the characteristics of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in murni teguh hospital medan. Abstract

Community play important role to enhance the accessibility to essential rights and services of mothers and children in community. This study utilizes the rapid ethnographic community assessment process (RECAP) to explore community potential for managing accessibility to rights and services of mothers and children in communities. The study was conducted in 8 sub-districts of 8 provinces in 4 regions nationwide. There are 146 informants recruited from purposive sampling include family members, community leaders, local leaders, health care providers, and social groups. Data were collected by the participated observation, in-depth interview, focus group discussion, as well as consultation using interview and focus group guidelines. Data were analyzed using content analysis and thematic analysis. The results reveal two parts include 1) sociocultural context of mothers and children which demonstrate need and way of life of pregnant women and child rearing; and 2) community managing to enhance essential right and service accessibility of mothers and children includes (1) managing fundamental right and services; (2) health services; (3) social welfare and community funds; (4) development safe and learning-enhanced environment; (5) educational services; (6) managing sources of information; and (7) caring based on cultural and traditional way. Based on this findings, national policy makers and relevant stakeholders could be utilizing for improvement prospective development and national policy to reinforce and strengthen community organizations contributing to health development of mothers and children.   Keywords: Rapid Ethnographic Community Assessment Process, Maternal Rights, Child Rights, Services for Mother and Child, Service Accessibility, Community Management

Abstract

Nurses’ caring attitude is the core in nursing standard practices that is mandatory for all nurses. In practicing caring attitudes, nurses show their empathy and care to patients in order to positively affect patients’ healing process. Furthermore, caring attitudes by nurses to mothers are expected to increase mothers’ motivation to attend to child immunization at public health centers regularly. The objective of the study was to identify the relationship between nurses’ caring attitude and the motivation of mothers in regularly taking their children for immunization at Belawan Public Health Center. This study employed correlational descriptive method using cross sectional approach. A total number of 52 mothers with the children of 0-12 months old served as research population. Sampling technique was total sampling technique in this study. By performing spearman rank statistical test, it was obtained that there was a strong correlation between caring attitude of nurses and mothers’ motivation for child immunization attendance (p= 0.005; r= 0.551). It is concluded that caring attitude of the nurses improve the motivation of mothers for child immunization attendance. It is suggested that nurses should practice caring while serving mother patients in order to increase awareness and internal motivation among mothers to bring their children to Public Health Center for immunization. Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus/DM is an increase in blood glucose levels or hyperglycemia which causes various complications in some important organs such as eyes, kidneys, nerves, and blood vessels. A proper diet of diabetes mellitus patients is determined based on the amount of food intake, scheduled meal, and daily food composition. This study is a descriptive research, and aim to identify the diets of diabetic patients in Pusong, Lhokseumawe with 108 in population. The number of research samples were 52 respondents using purposive sampling techniques.  The sample criteria applied with several conditions, such as had been suffering from type 2 DM for more than 5 years and able to read and write in Indonesian. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire with a Cronbach alpha test value of 0.841. The results showed that 78.8% of respondents were not able to control the type of daily food consumption, 73.1% were not able to control the amount of daily food, 67.3% were not able to obey the scheduled meal and 72.2% of the respondents were adhere to a daily diet. According to this research result, it is important to identify the factors that contribute to the diet of patients with diabetes mellitus in the future. Abstract

The approach of health service can be divided into a medical term and psychosocial term that are applied by the mental health professional. The mental heath services help their clients with mental illness by giving a specific treatments particularly from psychological view. The information in this essay were collected from two databases that are CINAHL and Health Science.  It also included the University of Wollongong e-journal database for nursing program.  Based on the internet research, it is imperative that the intervention can be delivered in the form of case management. This paper therefore will discuss the psychosocial care for mentally ill clients in terms of concept, components, interventions and benefit in the practical area.
