Abstract

High learning motivation is influenced by some factors from intrinsic factor (in self) and extrinsic factor. This study aims to describe the intrinsic factors and extrinsic factors in learning motivation. This is a descriptive design study with quota random sampling. 90 respondents were involved in this study. Results of intrinsic factors measured by interest in the field of knowledge studied: 47.8% of respondents collect tasks given in accordance with the time set, and 41.1% of respondents diligently follow the lecture. The results of the study of extrinsic factors are measured by the quality of lecturers who teach: 51.1% of lecturers often provide questions clearly and briefly. Based on the method of lecturing: simulation methods in the laboratory often increase the motivation to learn. Based on the lecture’s room: 57.8% stated that a clean lecture’s room can improve the concentration of learning. Based on the complete book in the library: 47.8% encourage respondents to do the task quickly. Based on the learning facilities: 47.8% are always motivated to learn if the lecturer uses LCD. Support of parents (76.7%) in meeting the needs of respondents in learning. The management of nursing education is suggested to motivate students during lectures based on intrinsic factors and extrinsic factors. Abstract

Abstract. “Dizziness” is a general term [1] and covers a variety of ‘abnormal sensations relating to perception of the body’s relationship to space’ [2]. According to the previous paper, Drachman and Hart [3] dizziness can be divided into four subtypes: vertigo, presyncope lightheadedness, disequilibrium, and other dizziness. Among all these subtypes, vertigo is one of the most commonly reported symptoms by the vestibular disordered patient nowadays [1]. Globally dizziness is one of ‘the common, chronic and untreated symptoms’ among the population in the age range of 18-65 years old. [4]. aims: To assess the pathology distribution among dizziness patients in NHNH. Method: All 97 patients were selected from an age range of 18-75 years, with a mean age of 47.92 (S.D=13.17). Method: All 97 patients were selected from an age range of 18-75 years, with a mean age of 47.92 (S.D=13.17). They were asked to fill in the VSS and MVSS questionnaires.  Results:  We were able to invite all 109 patients to participate our study within the 39 days (13 November – 21 December 2007) that’s attended the Neuro-otology clinic, NHNN. Conclusion: In this study it has been found that women commonly presented with the dizziness symptoms compared to men. Abstract

Fatigue is the major symptoms in patients with coronary artery disease, during recovery period after cardiac events and during cardiac rehabilitation. Benson’s relaxation is one of relaxation as modalities therapy to reduce fatigue, however few studies related to this technique in planned intervention. This study was to measure the effectiveness of Benson’s relaxation in fatigue of coronary artery disease patients during cardiac rehabilitation. It was a quasi-experimental pretest posttest control group design. This study included 29 respondents in Dr.M. Djamil Hospital were assigned to intervention group which receiving Benson’s relaxation technique (n=15) and control group with routine care (n=14). Benson’s relaxation technique was administered for 5 days 2 times a day, each 20 minutes to intervention group. Fatigue was measured using Maastricht Questionnaire (MQ). The result indicated significant reduction in mean of fatigue between intervention and control group (p value < 0,001). The study concluded that Benson’s relaxation technique is an effective non-pharmacological intervention to reduce fatigue in coronary artery disease patients. Abstract

Hemodialysis is a routine medical intervention for a patient with chronic kidney disease. The duration of hemodialysis treatment makes the patient's behavior change to be not adherence to the recommended diet, including restrictions on fluid intake. The objective of this research is to determine the Relationship duration of hemodialysis treatment with Adherence to fluid restriction of Chronic Kidney Disease Patients. This cross-sectional study involving 44 respondents, taken by consecutive sampling techniques. Research has been conducted in the hemodialysis room at the Reksodiwiryo hospital in Padang from May-June 2019. Data collection was carried out by looking at medical records and questionnaires regarding fluid intake compliance in patients with chronic kidney disease. The data obtained were analyzed univariate with frequency distribution and bivariate with the Kendall Tau test. The results showed that there were 26 (59.1%) non-adherence patients, and 18 (40.9%) patients were adherence to limiting fluid intake. Old patients were 17 people (38.6%) and new patients were 27 (61.4%). The Kendall Tau bivariate test showed that the length of hemodialysis has a significant correlation with adherence fluid restriction (p = 0.014), with a negative correlation (r -0.375), it's meaning that the longer the hemodialysis, the lower the fluid restriction compliance. It is expected that hemodialysis nurses regularly evaluate the compliance of hemodialysis patients and routinely carry out educational and motivational programs as well as fluid diet counseling at each hemodialysis session. Abstract

Breast milk contains substance known as IgA for the defense system in digestive tract against infection. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and working mothers with exclusive breastfeeding in Sidomulyo, Stabat. The type of research used is a descriptive analytic survey using a cross sectional study. The sampling technique used accidental sampling with 150 as population and 30 people is involved as the research sample.  The data analysis applied chi square test to determine the relationship between two variables. The results of this study revealed that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge of exclusive breast feeding with a significant level (ɑ) = 5% (0.05) and df = 2, the result is value = 0.026 at df = 2 where sig <ɑ (0.026 < 0.05) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.  Therefore, mothers are advised to continue to provide exclusive breastfeeding to their babies even though they work by storing breast milk in the refrigerator.

Abstract

Cesarean sections (C-sections) associated with an increased risk of atopic disorders in infants. Late preterm infants born by C-sections tend to have more breathing problems especially Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). RDS is one of the most common causes of respiratory morbidity and mortality in late preterm infants. Respiratory Distress Syndrome is one of the main causes of respiratory failure and neonatal death in premature infants and is caused by a lack of pulmonary surfactant due to fetal lung immaturity. The objectives of this research are to analyze the relationship between cesarean delivery and respiratory distress syndrome in late preterm infants. This type of research uses a type of quantitative research. The study design is a retrospective cohort study with a study cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study were 155 late preterm infants. This research was conducted in January-April 2019 in the Prof. DR. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. The analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis using The Chi-square test. The results of this study showed there is a significant relationship between C-sections and respiratory distress syndrome from p-value of 0.013 (> 0.05). Based on the results of this study, nurses are expected to recognize that C-sections delivery one of the risk factors of RDS in late preterm infants.
