Hadirnya Mitra Akademia: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dengan e-ISSN 2684-8422 yang diterbitkan oleh Unit Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (UP2M), Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) ini dimaksudkan sebagai sarana penyebarluasan (diseminasi) luaran (output) kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (community engagement/community development) yang dilakukan para dosen, peneliti, guru, mahasiswa dan juga profesi lain. Jurnal ini terbit 2 (dua) kali setahun, yakni Juni dan Desember. Redaksi menerima artikel jurnal dalam Bahasa Indonesia maupun Bahasa Inggris, resensi buku dan juga ringkasan disertasi (monograf) terkait tema pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Mitra Akademia is a journal that focuses on community development, as well as community engagement that published by the Research and Community Development Unit of Politeknik Negeri Jakarta. The e-ISSN is 2684-8422. It publishes 2 (two) issues per year, June and December. This journal receives any journal articles, book reviews, dissertation summary, and other similar things both in Bahasa Indonesia and English which are stemmed from community engagement activities conducted by lecturers, teachers, university students, researchers, and other professions alike.

Abstract

Indonesian government has stipulated Law Number 33/2014 about Halal Assurance Product. It mandates all business owners including micro and small business owners to get halal certification from the government. However, many micro and small-scale business owners do not know much about the law. While many institutions have organized the socialization of the Law, but only in limited coverage areas. Such effort was also taken by the Halal task force of The Ministry of West Sumatra which focused on Padang City. To deal with this community development, it chooses three different ways, namely opening the direct consultation with the micro and small-scale business owners who wanted to propose halal certification, hosting online meetings with the micro and small-scale business owners as well as coordinating the duty with the other fellow sections in the city. The community development of the halal task force of MoRA of West Sumatra shows a positive effect on business owners because they finally get halal certification. It helps their business subsequently by adding marketing value as well as convincing them to follow religious law. Keywords: halal certification, small-scale business owner, halal task force, marketing valuesPemerintah Indonesia telah mengundangkan keharusan menyatakan kehalalan produk pelaku usaha melalui UU No. 33 Tahun 2014 tentang Jaminan Produk Halal. Terhadap UU tersebut, banyak pelaku usaha terutama dari kalangan mikro dan kecil belum mengetahui implementasi dan implikasi dari UU tersebut. Secara bersamaan, banyak pihak telah melakukan sosialisasi terhadap implementasi UU tersebut dan sekaligus juga mendampingi para pelaku usaha, termasuk salah satunya upaya yang dilakukan oleh tim dari Satuan Tugas (Satgas) Halal Kanwil Kementerian Agama Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memotret proses pendampingan dan sosialisasi terhadap implementasi kewajiban pengurusan sertifikasi halal bagi para pelaku usaha yang dilakukan satgas Halal Kanwil Kementerian Agama Sumatera Barat, secara terfokus di Kota Padang. Metode pendampingan dilakukan dalam beberapa cara yaitu layanan langsung dengan membuka counter untuk konsultasi pelaku usaha, melalui pertemuan online dan bekerja sama dengan pemerintah daerah. Hasil pendampingan satgas Halal Kanwil Sumatera Barat ini cukup dirasakan manfaatnya bagi kalangan pelaku usaha karena mereka telah mendapatkan sertifikat halal. Dampaknya, secara ekonomi usaha mereka terus berjalan dan secara agama mempunyai nuansa kedekatan pada anjuran syariat.  Kata kunci: sertifikasi halal, pelaku usaha, satgas halal, nilai marketing

Abstract

One of the potential products of the Pulau Seribu as a marine destination in the north of Jakarta is its seaweed products, with the best quality and the mainstay of seaweed exports in Indonesia. Basically, not a few of the MSMEs in the Pulau Seribu already have production permits, business permits, and market seaweed products, but there are still some who experience problems in using their product packaging. As a result, the product is more difficult to market and has a low selling value. To overcome the problems faced by MSMEs, the Technology Industry of Prining Packaging Department (TICK) in collaboration with partners (Pondok Cafe and Karang Taruna) carries out community service activities with the aim of: making packaging based on products, materials, designs, and packaging forms that are efficient and can be applied. by MSMEs. The science and technology program for the community is in the form of helping MSMEs in the Pulau Seribu through partners and youth organizations in the Pulau Pramuka area to make packaging independently. The method for conducting this science and technology program for the community is: through training and mentoring. Among the stages are conducting a preliminary survey of partners (MSMEs), designing packaging designs, making packaging according to the needs of MSMEs and training and assistance in packaging production. The output of this activity is the availability of primary packaging for candies’s seaweed products, driving the community's economy and increasing sales of partner products.

Abstract

Wabah Covid-19 telah banyak menjatuhkan UMKM, namun hal tersebut jangan sampai menimpa UMKM Mutiara Domas milik Ibu Muniroh. Usaha rumahan Mutiara Domas memproduksi Bontot dan Kerupuk Ikan Payus yang diolah manjadi makanan ciri khas Banten, karena bontot dan kerupuk ikan payus hanya bisa dijumpai di Domas, Pontang Kabupaten Serang saja. Ikan payus merupakan spesies ikan bandeng, atau warga Domas menyebutnya sebagai Ikan Bandeng Lanang. Ikan tersebut berasal dari tambak ikan yang terdapat di desa Domas. Karena keberadaan ikan payus yang melimpah, namun pemasaran kurang (karena tekstur daging tipis), maka dari itu ikan payus dijadikan bahan baku olahan makanan. Pelaksanaan pengabdian telah dilaksanak, UMKM Mutiara Domas telah memiliki alat tambahan untuk produksi makanan olahan bontot dan ikan payus. Selain itu pelatihan untuk marketing online telah dilakukan, dan kemasan untuk kerupuk ikan payus telah dibuatkan. Dengan masih adanya pandemi Covid-19 diharapkan tidak terlalu berdampak bagi UMKM Mutiara Domas, dan tim dosen masih berkomunikasi dengan pemilik UMKM Mutiara Domas, berkoordinasi tentang progres penjualan. Adapun luaran dari kegiatan pengabdianpengabdian artikel di jurnal akreditasi, media massa, dan video kegiatan.Kata Kunci: Bontot kerupuk Ikan Payus, UKM Mutiara Domas, Pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

Kalimulya Depok Village requires a program to utilize household waste for community economic empowerment. Used cooking oil is one of the household wastes that have a hazard to health and the environment. Therefore, the team lecture of Program Study Energy Conversion Engineering Technology PNJ carried out community service with the theme of using used cooking oil waste into aromatherapy candles and decorative candles. This activity consisted of presenting material related to the dangers of used cooking oil and the procedure for making aromatherapy candles and decorative candles from used cooking oil, then continued with the practice of making aromatherapy candles and decorative candles from used cooking oil. The survey results show an increase in the knowledge and skills of the trainees regarding the process of making aromatherapy candles and decorative candles from used cooking oil.

Abstract

Pesantren merupakan komunitas yang konsen terhadap pendidikan Islam, di dalamnya terkumpul para santri yang datang dari berbagai daerah, dengan budaya, karakter dan latar belakang yang berbeda pula, mereka berkumpul menjadi satu demi satu tujuan bersama, yaitu memperdalam ilmu agama. Pembelajaran yang diterapkan di pesantren berlaku selama dua puluh empat jam di bawah pengawasan pengasuh atau kiai. Mereka bercampur baur menjadi satu melakukan semua aktivitasnya dalam satu peraturan ketat di bawah kendali pengasuh dan juga pengurus pesantren. Dari latar belakang yang beragam itu pula, kemudian banyak pameo berkembang di pesantren. Kehidupan para santri dikenal kolot, kumuh, gudikan, lingkungan yang kurang bersih dan permasalahan sosial lingkungan lainnya. Maka perlu sebuah konsep yang baik sebagai pendamping bagaimana agar gaya hidup para santri dapat berjalan dengan praktis, bersih, tertib dan rapi dengan segala kesederhanaan nya. Diharapkan semua dapat terealisasikan bahkan di area terdekat mereka, yaitu kamar dan kotak baju dan buku masing-masing santri. Metode KonMari mengajarkan tentang cara berbenah yang ampuh dengan membersihkan sekaligus bukannya sedikit demi sedikit dan dilakukan sesuai dengan kategori benda, mengajarkan untuk tidak membiasakan menimbun barang-barang yang sudah tidak digunakan, hingga cara menyusun pakaian yang benar dan masih banyak lainnya.

Abstract

Penitentiary as part of a government institution, one of its duties is to provide guidance for its residents. As part of a government institution, the purpose of this community service activity is that public service by correctional officers is one of the important elements that must be provided by government officials. Officers must always be oriented to the public interest by paying attention to the quality of services provided, so that the people served can provide positive responses. In addition to public service training for its apparatus, the target residents are given training in marketing and product packaging of works that have been produced by the assisted residents. The purpose of this service activity is so that the apparatus can provide maximum service to the inmates. Likewise for inmates after being released from prison, they can be productive, and apply the skills they have acquired while in prison. Thus, they can help the family economy which is carried out independently. The method is carried out by conducting excellent service socialization for prison officers. As for the assisted residents, it is carried out by means of interactive communication with the assisted residents so that it is more socialized and intensive. As a result, the apparatus can carry out more intensive and humane coaching. Likewise, the assisted residents can increase their knowledge of marketing and packaging to be more marketable.

Abstract

Indonesia is the fourth largest populated country in the world. In this country, information can easily spread among people on the internet, whether it is valid information or a false one. Although there is a specific law about information and electronic transaction, people still produce and distribute information without the awareness of the risk. Spreading fake news, especially related to the Covid-19 issue resulted in excessive public reaction or panic because people tend to spread disinformation widely on social media. This has the amplification effect of fears caused by uncontrolled information. Covid-19 fake news in Indonesia has spread out significantly because people are reluctant to read, and most people have low information literacy. The activity aimed to prevent the spread of disruptive information in Indonesia. The activities applied the Penta-helix approach which collaborates several elements: the women's community, communication media, academician, and governments in overcoming disruptive information. 37 participants were from gender study centers across Indonesia. The results are virtual workshops and implementation activities on information literacy. Key persons from each women's study center in all regions of Indonesia attended virtual workshops to strengthen their information literacy skills. Having information-literate key persons, it is proved that the spreading of hoaxes can be reduced. This will support the community in Indonesia to be smarter and wiser in coping with Covid-19 related information. The participants hope that activities to increase information literacy for the Indonesian people can be sustained so that an information-smart society is realized in everyday life.
