Abstract

One of the government's current focus is stunting prevention. This effort aims to ensure that Indonesian children can grow and develop optimally and to the maximum, accompanied by emotional, social, and physical skills that are ready to learn, as well as being able to innovate and compete at a global level. According to the Gizi Status Survey Report of Balita Indonesia (SSGBI) Based on stunting data of Pekanbaru city, the highest percentage of stunting cases are in the Fifty district of 42 cases. The type of research used is quantitative with the type of cross sectional study design. The sample in this study was 42 respondents. Data analysis is done univariately. The results of the study showed that out of 42 respondents obtained results on the parental education variable were 25 respondents (59.5%). In the attitude variable was enough 30 respondents (71.4%). Behavior was enough as much as 32 respondants (76.2%), In the sanitation variable, the majority were sanitation eligible as many respondents 17 (56.7%). It is recommended that Puskesmas Fifty Cities Pekanbaru be a source of information to the perpetrators and develop health promotion about patterns of parental care and maintain good sanitation of the environment against stunting incidents Information to the stunt party and developing health promotion on parental care patterns andining good sanitation of the environment against stunting incidents as one of the guidelines for changing behavior even better.

Abstract

Rumbai pesisir is one of the districts that is often affected by flooding in the city of Pekanbaru. This research was carried out to formulate mitigation strategies from ecological, social, and economic perspectives to minimize the impacts of floods in the Rumbai sub-district of Pekanbaru City. The data obtained from questionnaires, interviews, direct field observations, and also literature reviews are analyzed descriptively and plotted into a SWOT diagram. From the ecological perspective, Pekanbaru has a medium to high category of rainfall with a high frequency of flood. Many of the drainage channels in Sri Meranti area are unmaintained and clogged. The social conditions show that the majority of Sri Meranti population have productive age and intermediate education so that they can be more educated in terms of mitigation. The economic conditions show that there is a low-income level of the Sri Meranti population which is below the UMK. Of Pekanbaru. Government contributions in handling floods are needed but the budget is insufficient. The resulting strategy in mitigating the flood impact in Rumbai is the S-O (Strength-Opportunities) strategy which supports an aggressive strategy in taking advantage of all the strengths and opportunities that exist.

Abstract

The increase in the number of waste piles in Indonesia has reached 175,000 tons/day or the equivalent of 64 million tons/year. In the health sector, synthetic plastics are used as materials for making packaged medicine bottles and infusion bottles. Polypropylene synthetic plastics are very slow to degrade, making them a major problem in environmental pollution. This study aims to determine the type of bacteria and the ability of bacterial isolates to degrade polypropylene plastics. The research methods used include characterization of bacterial isolates macroscopicly, microscopicly, biochemical tests, then polypropylene synthetic plastic biodegradation tests were carried out during the incubation period of 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, and 4 weeks using an incubator shaker device. The results of this study obtained 4 bacterial isolates that can decompose polypropylene plastic from seawater samples in Padang City. The results of the isolation of polypropylene plastic bacteria from seawater samples in Padang City ILT-14 bacterial isolate based on macroscopic characteristics. and molecular identification was carried out in the LIPI biotechnology testing laboratory by the 16S rRNA gene deritimization method obtained polypropylene plastic scavenging bacterial species, namely: ILT-14 has similarities with Stenotropomonas Maltophilia. With a 30-day polypropylene plastic decomposer percentage of 10.8%. The difference in FTIR analysis was in the percentage value of carbon group transmission, and the aromatic group decreased. When compared to plastic before it was degraded and there was a decrease in percent. Microscopy Electron Scanning (SEM) Analysis of ILR-14 polypropylene plastic isolate of bacteria isolated is able to break down complex polymers into monomer forms

Abstract

Riau Province is known to have agricultural resources that have the potential to become a national food barn. The Riau region which has great potential is the Indragiri Hilir Region. However, in recent years, rice production from the region has decreased. This is caused by various factors, one of which is the lack of understanding of farmers about climate information so that they cannot carry out mitigation and adaptation. For this reason, this study aims to determine the strategy for utilizing climate information so that food availability in Sungai Batang Regency is guaranteed to be sustainable. This research was conducted in March - May 2023 in Sungai Batang District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The data used in this research comes from primary and secondary data. Analysis of the data used in the form of descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicate that the strategy used in this study is the S-T (Strength – Threat) strategy. This strategy is a combination of internal factors, namely strength factors and external factors, namely threat factors. From this strategy, the authors can recommend several programs that can be used to maintain food security in Sungai Batang District.

Abstract

This research was carried out in July - August 2022. The location of coral sampling is in the coral reefs of the Nirwana coast, West Sumatra. The objective by conducting this study is to determine the type of nematocysts in the body tissues of corals scleractinia, Acropora formosa, Seriatopora sp, and Pocillopora damicornis. Method to know the types of nematocysts from A. formosa, Seriatopora sp, and P. damicornis were carried out using an Olympus, microscope with x100 objective lens magnification at the Marine Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau. Of the 25 major types of nematocysts known in the phylum Cnidarian, two types are found in these three species. The results showed that there were two main types of nematocysts, namely holotrichous isorhizas (HI) and micro basic p-mastigophore (MpM). The three coral species, A. formosa, Seriatopora sp, and P. damicornis, of the holotrichous isorhizas (HI) nematocysts type and the micro basic p-mastigophore (MpM) nematocyst, were found in the coral species A. formosa and P. damicornis. The type of nematocyst is thought to be used to attack and kill prey.

Abstract

Regional development is a partial or comprehensive movement to improve the function of land and the structuring of social, economic, cultural, educational, and welfare of the community to advance the region. The importance of commodities in regional development is closely related to key factors such as economic growth, increase in farmers' income, food security, infrastructure development, economic diversification, natural resource management, increasing competitiveness, and strengthening institutions and policies, all of which contribute to community welfare and environmental sustainability. The goals of superior commodities are to increase local economic growth, increase farmers' incomes, achieve food security, encourage infrastructure development, diversify the economy, manage natural resources sustainably, increase competitiveness in the market, and strengthen institutions and policies that support the agricultural sector. Therefore, it is necessary to research the development of superior commodities in Bayah District with the research title "Determination of Superior Commodities in the Agricultural Sector in Regional Development in Bayah District, Lebak Regency." This research will focus on superior commodities that can encourage economic growth in Bayah District, with the identification of food crop base commodities, analysis of food crop superior commodities, and the formulation of food crop superior commodity development strategies in Bayah District. The research uses Location Quotient (LQ) analysis to find base commodities that can be the main focus in regional development with a superior commodity-based approach. The results of LQ analysis show that the leading commodities in Bayah District are rice and soybeans. However, multicriteria analysis shows that rice has a significant contribution to added value and economic benefits in Bayah District. Based on the results of problem solving, it is concluded that to increase a significant contribution to agricultural development in Bayah District, it is necessary to focus on rice superior commodities to expand the use of agricultural land.
