Abstract

UMKM Abon Jaya Mandiri is a small business that processes tuna fish into shredded fish products. The marketed tuna floss products have several advantages, such as being a healthy option for families as they are made without the use of cooking oil and MSG, and they are certified with SNI standards. Despite these strengths, the business faces marketing challenges, including product damage, price competition, an unstrategic sales location, and minimal social media promotion. These challenges result in many products not being sold optimally each month. This study aims to, Identify marketing risks faced by UMKM Abon Jaya Mandiri. Assess and categorize marketing risks using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. Provide risk mitigation strategies that can be implemented by UMKM Abon Jaya Mandiri. The research findings show the RPN values for each marketing activity. For promotion strategies, the risk of outdated social media content (R8) has a weight score of 0.510, with the priority alternative strategy being the use of content editing technology, scoring 0.594. This strategy involves using editing applications to attract attention on social media. For place strategy, the risk of incomplete address information (R6) has a weight score of 0.237, with the priority alternative strategy being mentoring employees, scoring 0.528. This involves guiding employees to always provide complete address details to customers unfamiliar with the business location. For pricing strategy, the risk of competitors lowering prices (R5) has a weight score of 0.182, with the priority alternative strategy being the implementation of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for market research, scoring 0.633. This strategy seeks to minimize human error during the frying process, ensuring employees are knowledgeable about maintaining product quality to prevent mold growth.

Abstract

This research investigates the evolution of laboratory practices, lean manufacturing, and automation. It involved analyzing 150 scholarly articles retrieved from Google Scholar using keywords "Laboratory, Lean Manufacturing, and Automation," selecting and studying 49 relevant articles. Key findings highlight trends in smart laboratory development, lean manufacturing implementation, and automation integration in industry. Limitations include insufficient focus on highly automated lean laboratories and the need for comprehensive planning across short, medium, and long terms. Future research should explore innovative strategies to improve laboratory efficiency and industrial responsiveness. This study offers insights into current academic trends and suggests paths for sustainable technology development in laboratories and lean manufacturing

Abstract

PT. SMI is a manufacturing company engaged in manufacturing services specializing in heavy equipment components. In the production process activities there are still several factors that cause a product that has been produced not in accordance with predetermined specifications. Therefore, this study aims to determine the types and factors that can cause deffects and provide proposals for improving the Cover Flange at PT. SMI. The method used is the Six Sigma DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) which is quality control to minimize the number of defective products. Based on the results of data processing analysis, there are still data that are still outside the control limits. Therefore, the production process still has to be improved in order to improve quality. The DPMO (Defect Per Million Opportunities) value before improvement is 106456 and the sigma value is 2.70. The proposed improvement used in this study is to use the 5S method (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seikersu, Shitshuke) So, the results obtained after applying the 5S method are a reduction in the DPMO value of 51579 and a sigma value of 3.15 with a reduction in the number of defective Cover Flange products, so with the improvement being able to provide changes in the DPMO value and sigma value of PT. SMI.

Abstract

This study aims to assess and improve the quality of service on the Jabodetabek KRL at Manggarai Station which has experienced an increase in the number of passengers and density, especially during peak hours. This increase causes several challenges, including inconvenience for passengers. The SERVQUAL and Important Performance Analysis (IPA) methods were used to identify and address gaps between expectations and passengers' perceptions of the services provided by the station. The study involved the distribution of questionnaires designed to measure five dimensions of service quality including reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence. The results of the analysis proved the existence of several significant gaps that require immediate corrective action. Based on these findings, strategic recommendations were developed for PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia in order to optimize operations and improve customer satisfaction. This research provides new insights into the existing literature by highlighting the importance of service quality management in the public transportation sector, particularly on the KRL Commuter Line.

Abstract

PT. Metro Riau is a newspaper printing company facing significant challenges due to high machine breakdown rates, which have impacted maintenance costs and production output. This study aims to compare machine maintenance costs using repair policy and preventive maintenance policy methods and provide recommendations for the most efficient maintenance approach. The data utilized includes types of breakdowns, maintenance costs, and production rates during the 2023 period. The research employs a quantitative analysis method to calculate repair and preventive maintenance costs based on the probability of breakdowns for each type of machine. The findings reveal that for type A breakdowns, the repair policy is more cost-effective, with a maintenance cost of IDR 143,829 compared to IDR 176,384 for the preventive maintenance policy. Conversely, for type B and C breakdowns, the preventive maintenance policy is more efficient, with costs of IDR 259,616 and IDR 375,950, respectively, compared to the repair policy. Based on these results, it is recommended to implement the repair policy for type A breakdowns and the preventive maintenance policy for types B and C. This combined approach is expected to reduce maintenance costs while enhancing the reliability of the company's production machinery.
