Abstract

Bullying is a serious problem in society. Victims who experience bullying will experience negative impacts. However, the presence of social support can help adolescents reduce the negative impacts received. This study aims to examine the effect of Perceived Social Support on Trait Emotional Intelligence in victims of bullying in adolescence. This study used the Children Bullying Scale (CABS) as a screening tool, Multidimensional Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and Trait Emotional Intelligence (TEIQue-ASF). To test the results of this study, linear and descriptive regression tests were used. The study was administered to 112 respondents, male and female, who were active high school students. The results showed a significant influence between perceived social support and trait emotional intelligence. Social support from family can help individuals improve their perceived emotional intelligence. This research indicates higher the perceived social support for each individual, the higher the perceived level of emotional intelligence. This is related to self-esteem, self-confidence, and the individual's interactions with their surroundings.

Abstract

Work engagement is a positive psychological state characterized by vigor, dedication, and absorption. This study aimed to describe the level of work engagement among Indonesian National Police officers. A quantitative descriptive design was employed using purposive sampling. Participants consisted of 127 police officers from a regional police department in Indonesia. Data were collected using the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-9 (UWES-9), adapted into Indonesian by Kristiana et al. (2018). The scale demonstrated acceptable reliability (Cronbach’s α = .760), and all items were found to be valid (p < .05). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean, standard deviation, and categorization analysis. Results showed a mean work engagement score of 47.87 (SD = 4.86). Most participants were categorized as having high work engagement (56.7%), followed by moderate (20.5%), low (15.0%), and very low (7.9%) levels. These findings indicate that police officers generally exhibit high levels of work engagement.

Abstract

Slow learners generally experience difficulties in understanding abstract science concepts, requiring instructional media capable of presenting learning materials in a more concrete and interactive manner. One promising technology is Augmented Reality (AR). This study aimed to analyze the implementation of Augmented Reality in improving science concept understanding of slow learners on the human digestive system topic. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were three slow learner students in Grade VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Kongbeng, Indonesia. Data was collected through classroom observations, concept understanding tests, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The findings revealed that the implementation of Augmented Reality significantly improved students' conceptual understanding. Students' scores increased from 40, 20, and 20 in the pre-action stage to 66, 60, and 60 in Cycle I, and further improved to 86, 80, and 80 in Cycle II, enabling all participants to achieve the minimum mastery criterion. In addition, students' learning activities improved from the good category to the very good category throughout the intervention. These findings indicate that Augmented Reality is an effective instructional medium for supporting inclusive science education by enhancing conceptual understanding among slow learner students.

Abstract

UI GreenMetric World University Rankings is one of the sustainability assessment instruments used to evaluate green campus performance through six main categories: Setting and Infrastructure, Energy and Climate Change, Waste, Water, Transportation, and Education and Research. This study aims to analyze the implementation of green campus at Institut Teknologi Kalimantan based on the 2025 UI GreenMetric indicators. This study employed a quantitative descriptive method with a data analysis approach using data obtained from the 2025 UI GreenMetric fact file, the UI GreenMetric questionnaire data of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan, the 2025 UI GreenMetric guideline, and institutional achievement documents. The results show that Institut Teknologi Kalimantan obtained a total score of 3.322,5 out of 10.000 points, equivalent to 33.23%. The Setting and Infrastructure category obtained 705 points, Energy and Climate Change 625 points, Waste 500 points, Water 387,5 points, Transportation 360 points, and Education and Research 745 points. The highest achievement was found in the Setting and Infrastructure category, while the lowest achievement was found in the Transportation category. These findings indicate that Institut Teknologi Kalimantan has strong spatial potential as a green campus, but still requires improvement in renewable energy, green building implementation, waste management, water management, sustainable transportation, sustainability reporting, and data-based governance.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve student engagement and learning outcomes of students with special educational needs in ecosystem learning through adaptive gamification based on the Octalysis Framework. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in three cycles, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were three seventh-grade students with special educational needs at SMP Negeri 4 Kombeng. Data were collected through student engagement observation sheets, learning achievement tests, field notes, and documentation, and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results indicated consistent improvements across the three cycles. The mean student engagement score increased from 2.11 in Cycle I to 3.15 in Cycle II and 3.59 in Cycle III. The mean learning outcome also improved from 60.00 to 75.33 and 83.00, while the classical learning mastery increased from 33.33% in Cycle I to 66.67% in Cycle II and remained stable in Cycle III. Classroom observations further revealed increased motivation, participation, confidence, and active involvement throughout the learning process. These findings demonstrate that adaptive gamification based on the Octalysis Framework provides a more engaging, personalized, and inclusive learning experience, thereby enhancing both student engagement and learning outcomes in science education for students with special educational needs.
