Abstract

Stunting remains one of the most serious nutritional problems in Indonesia, with prevalence levels that vary considerably across provinces and over time. This study aims to identify the multidimensional determinants of stunting prevalence in Indonesia by accounting for both spatial and temporal heterogeneity. The analysis uses secondary panel data from thirty four provinces covering the period from two thousand twenty to two thousand twenty four, sourced from the Ministry of Health and the Central Statistics Agency. The method applied is Geographically Weighted Panel Regression, which integrates spatial and temporal dimensions to capture the diverse relationships between stunting and its determinants across regions. Panel model selection procedures indicated that the fixed effect specification best represented the data, while diagnostic tests confirmed the presence of significant spatial heterogeneity, justifying the use of a geographically weighted approach. Among the kernel weighting functions compared, the adaptive exponential kernel produced the best balance of model fit and accuracy. The findings reveal that the average length of schooling among women is the most dominant and consistent factor associated with lower stunting prevalence across many provinces. Female labor force participation shows a significant but spatially varying influence, while exclusive breastfeeding coverage is significant only in a limited number of regions. These results highlight that stunting reduction strategies should be tailored to the specific socioeconomic and spatial characteristics of each province rather than relying on a uniform national policy.

Abstract

Nurses frequently work under high job demands, emotional pressure, rotating shifts, and direct responsibility for patient safety. These conditions make work engagement an important issue because engaged nurses are more likely to maintain energy, dedication, and focus during patient care. This study examined the predictive effects of workplace well-being and calling on work engagement among nurses. A quantitative cross-sectional design was used with 428 nurses who were actively working and had worked for at least one year in their current workplace. Data were collected from February to April 2026 through online and direct questionnaires. Work engagement was measured using the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-9, workplace well-being using the Workplace Well-being Index, and calling using the CVQ. Multiple linear regression showed that workplace well-being positively predicted work engagement (b = 0.110, β = 0.438, t = 10.603, p < 0.001), and calling also positively predicted work engagement (b = 0.052, β = 0.157, t = 3.796, p < 0.001). The model explained 28.0% of work engagement variance (R² = 0.280, F = 55.08, p < 0.001). These findings indicate that external workplace resources and personal meaning are associated with nurses’ work engagement. Because the study used a cross-sectional design, the findings should be interpreted as predictive associations rather than causal effects.

Abstract

The Kalibaru River in Indonesia faces significant pollution challenges due to industrial and human activities, threatening ecosystem balance and water quality. To address this, a sand and carbon filter-based water filtration system is employed to improve water quality to grade 2 clean water standards.The method involves filtration using sand filters, carbon filters. Results show improved water quality with parametersThe decrease in turbidity from 6 NTU (March) to 5 NTU (June) indicates the filtration system's ability to remove suspended particles. Additionally, the decrease in electrical conductivity from 179.83 umhos (March) to 173.41 umhos (June) and TDS from 95.9 mg/L (March) to 92.7 mg/L (June) shows the system's ability to reduce dissolved ion concentrations.The stability of pH between March (7.58) and June (7.38) indicates that the filtration system does not affect the water's pH balance, remaining within the class 2 water quality standard (6-9). The relatively stable water temperature between March (27.5°C) and June (27°C) also shows that the filtration system does not significantly affect the water temperature  with Indonesian Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001.The system effectively removes contaminants, reduces turbidity, and kills pathogenic bacteria, making the water suitable for recreation, freshwater aquaculture, livestock, agriculture, and other uses. Regular monitoring and maintenance are necessary to sustain water quality.Indonesia's river water quality has been declining due to industrial pollution, pesticide and fertilizer use, and plastic waste. To combat this, efforts are being made to improve wastewater management, promote sustainable agriculture practices, and enhance public awareness.

Abstract

The growing problem of household waste, along with the practice of open burning, remains a major cause of environmental pollution and public health problems. This study aims to design a simple waste incinerator based on appropriate technology, equipped with a blower system, a water-based smoke filter, and a solar energy source, to improve combustion efficiency and reduce smoke emissions. The research was conducted using an engineering research approach, involving literature studies, observations, and conceptual design, without fabrication or direct experimental testing. The device was designed with an iron drum as the main combustion chamber, an input blower to increase oxygen supply during combustion, and an output blower to direct smoke toward a water-based filtration system (a simple wet scrubber). The blower system uses DC power supplied by solar panels and batteries, allowing the device to operate independently and efficiently. The study results indicate that the use of blowers can improve flame stability, accelerate combustion, and reduce smoke from incomplete combustion. In addition, the water-based filtration system is considered simple, economical, and sufficiently effective in trapping dust particles and fine ash before the smoke is released into the environment. This device is specifically designed to burn lightweight organic waste such as dry leaves, small branches, and paper, making it suitable for household and community-scale applications. This research is expected to serve as a basis for developing a simpler, more economical, easy-to-apply, and environmentally friendly waste incinerator as an alternative community-based waste management solution.

Abstract

The computer laboratory is one of the important facilities in supporting practical activities and technology-based learning at STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma. This study aims to analyze the level of student satisfaction with the computer laboratory facilities and to determine improvement priorities that need to be addressed. The method used in this study is Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), which measures the relationship between the level of importance and the performance level of each laboratory service attribute. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 129 students who use the laboratory. The results show that, in general, students are satisfied with the laboratory facilities, especially in terms of room comfort, practicum module suitability, and software availability. The overall satisfaction level reached 93%, indicating that most facilities have met student expectations. However, several attributes require greater attention, such as internet connection speed, hardware condition, and peripheral functionality including monitors, keyboards, and mice. Based on the IPA Cartesian diagram analysis, these attributes are located in the main priority quadrant for improvement because they are considered highly important but their performance is still below expectations. Meanwhile, attributes related to assistant responsiveness and module clarity were included in the maintain performance quadrant. The findings of this study are expected to provide useful input for laboratory management in improving service quality and optimizing facilities to better support student learning activities.

Abstract

Wicida Tvis one of the UKM (Student Activity Units) at STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma. The UKM has various social media and in this study the Wicida TvInstagram account was chosen, which aims to analyze the level of interaction with followers and other users on the content published on the Wicida Tv’s Instagram account. By using a mix method approach, with a focus on quantitative calculations for engagement rate results and qualitative methods are used to support the results of quantitative calculations. Data was collected based on Instagram content both photos, video viewers, reels, and posters uploaded in the last 1 year period (2025), in collecting engagement rate data not only using the number of likes, comments, shares, and reposts, but also can be taken by measuring how often people click on the link and bio in the post as well as the distribution of questionnaires which will later be processed using SPSS tools. The results of the analysis show that the engagement rate of the content on the Wicida TvInstagram account on average has an average engagement rate that can be said to be quite good. And while users are generally more interested in entertainment content than formal educational content, factors such as upload time and creativity have been shown to influence user engagement levels. This research provides insights for social media account managers in improving content strategies to achieve optimal follower engagement.

Abstract

Academic stress is a common problem experienced by final semester students during the thesis preparation process. However, many students are unaware of their stress levels due to limited access to campus counseling services and social stigma regarding mental health issues. This study aims to develop a web-based expert system for diagnosing stress levels in final semester students using the Certainty Factor method. The research methodology adopts the Turban model consisting of four stages: intelligence, design, choice, and implementation. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 60 final semester student respondents from various universities in Indonesia. The system was developed using the PHP programming language with a MySQL database and implements the Certainty Factor (CF) method for diagnosis calculation. The CF method works by combining expert CF values and user CF values iteratively until a final CF value is obtained, which is classified into three stress level categories: mild, moderate, and severe. The results showed that the system successfully diagnosed 54 students (90.0%) with severe stress, 2 students (3.3%) with moderate stress, and 4 students (6.7%) with mild stress. Black Box Testing on 16 scenarios showed that all system functions were valid (100%). Comparison of system diagnoses with psychologist expert diagnoses on 60 respondents showed an accuracy rate of 100%. This system can be used as an early detection tool for academic stress independently while maintaining user privacy.

Abstract

Insomnia among Generation Z students shows a high prevalence, exacerbated by academic pressure and excessive use of digital devices. Existing diagnostic systems have not specifically accommodated the characteristics of insomnia symptoms in this group transparently and clinically explainable. This study aims to design, implement, and test a web-based expert system for diagnosing insomnia using the Certainty Factor method, capable of mimicking psychological reasoning in diagnosing insomnia among Generation Z students. The basic knowledge was obtained from interviews with experts, covering three types of insomnia, namely transient, acute, and chronic insomnia, sixteen symptom indicators, and thirty five inference rules with Certainty Factor values directly determined by experts. The system was developed using Hypertext Preprocessor programming language and MySQL database, and data were collected through questionnaires from seventy Generation Z students. Testing was conducted through Black Box Testing and validation of system diagnostic results against expert diagnoses. Black Box Testing showed a one hundred percent functional success rate. Validation of system diagnostic results against expert assessments on seventy cases demonstrated one hundred percent agreement, proving that the system can produce diagnoses identical to expert assessments. All Generation Z students were diagnosed with chronic insomnia, with Certainty Factor values ranging from zero point two five eight one to one point zero zero zero zero, confirming the high prevalence of chronic insomnia among Generation Z students. This system contributes as an accurate, transparent, and accessible self-screening instrument without barriers of cost or social stigma. Abstract

Limited access to eye health services in Indonesia, the scarcity of ophthalmologists, and low public health literacy regarding early symptoms of eye diseases are major problems that drive the need for technology-based solutions. This study aims to develop a web-based expert system for diagnosing human eye diseases based on symptoms using the Certainty Factor method. The research methodology uses Turban's decision-making model consisting of four phases: intelligence, design, choice, and implementation. The intelligence phase includes observation, literature study, and interviews with eye experts to obtain data on six types of eye diseases (Low Vision, Cataract, Conjunctivitis, Glaucoma, Keratitis, Blepharitis) along with 16 clinical symptoms and expert CF values. The design phase includes knowledge base design, system flow, database, and user interface. The choice phase performs manual and system CF calculations. The implementation phase builds a web-based system using PHP and MySQL. Testing results on 40 patient data showed that the system achieved 100% accuracy according to expert diagnosis. A total of 77.5% of patients had confidence levels in the High and Very High categories. Manual and system calculations showed identical results in all cases. In conclusion, the Certainty Factor method is effective and reliable for web-based eye disease diagnosis.

Abstract

As voice biometric systems face escalating threats from deepfake audio, securing non-English languages remains a critical vulnerability. This exploratory study aims to develop a localized Indonesian-language spoofing detection baseline, acknowledging constraints of a small, imbalanced dataset. We propose an approach combining AASIST spectro-temporal graph attention networks with a SAMO multi-center one-class learning loss function. Initial evaluations revealed substantial class overlap without acoustic perturbation, yielding a baseline equal error rate of 48.9%, highlighting under-resourced language vulnerabilities. However, an ablation study injecting controlled Gaussian noise acted as an optimal stochastic regularizer, significantly clarifying the decision boundaries between genuine and spoofed speech. This minor perturbation reduced the equal error rate to 44.05%, whereas excessive noise predictably destroyed the fundamental acoustic structure. These findings demonstrate that regularized multi-center geometries isolate synthetic artifacts, establishing a foundational proof-of-concept and highlighting the need for expanded corpora when securing Indonesian voice authentication infrastructures against advanced generative attacks.
