Abstract

Based on the report of the Integrated System for Communicable Diseases in Yogyakarta Health Center, in 2015 there were 256,586 people aged> 15 years and based on the number of patient visits to the primary health center and screening, the risk factors for non-communicable diseases is outside the building. Hypertension measurements were conducted to 7,464 (18.49%) patients. Hypertension cases in people aged> 15 years were more common in women (63.96%) compared to men (36.04%). The anemia prevalence of childbearing age Women is the most risky, with the prevalence of anemia in non-pregnant women aged 15-49 by 30%. Sleman Regency is a large area in Yogyakarta, so not all villages have a specific approach to health. A mother will give birth to the next generation so that more special attention is needed, for example by screening blood pressure and HB levels. One of the villages in Sleman Regency is Sindumartani Village, the majority of the population is farmer and the majority of wives is Housewife and is helping work in the fields. The residents of Sindumartani Village are still lay about anemia and hypertension. The method used is blood pressure examination using digital spygmomanometer and HB examination with digital devices. The blood pressure examinations on 22 mothers shows 16 (72.72%) mothers were not hypertensive, and HB examination on 19 mothers show 12 (63.15%) mothers were not anemic.

Abstract

Puskesmas Piyungan is one of the Health Centers located in the Bantul Regency area of Yogyakarta. If we see from the geographical location, the distance of Piyungan Health Center with STIKES Madani Yogyakarta ranges around 7 KM. Considering the proximity of the area that is easily accessible, therefore STIKES Madani Yogyakarta is necessary to be involved in various activities within the health center working area of Puskesmas Piyungan and vice versa. the extensive working area of the health center needs participation of STIKES Madani HR in implementing government programs one of which is MR immunization due to the equity of the program implementation within the coverage area. The method used in community service activities is counseling about MR and direct provision of MR immunization. This activity was conducted in 3 namely A Alif, Klenggotan and Muhammadiyah Karangploso elementary schools for all classes 1 to 6. The implementation of counseling went well. Not only were the children participating, but the parents who were present at the time were also enthusiastic in participating in the counseling. The MR immunization process was managed in a team. Based on the results obtained qualitatively, some children and parents admitted that they were happy with the program because they were increasingly understanding about MR immunization and its benefits and at the same time were immediately given immunization as the prevention action.

Abstract

Dengue Fever (DHF) can appear throughout the year and can affect all age groups. This disease is related to environmental conditions and community behavior. DHF causes deaths in the Southeast Asian region from 1990-2015 to have an increasing trend. The number of dengue morbidity in 2016 also increased from 2015, which was 50.75 to 78.85 per 100,000 population. Bantul district DHF incidence in 2016, the incidence of dengue cases rose when compared to 2015. In 2016 there were 2442 cases of dengue fever (IR 2.51%), while in 2015 there were 1441 cases (IR 2.51%) . The highest incidence of DHF cases in Bantul district occurred in the Kasihan II health center area of ​​227 cases. Efforts that can be made to prevent the incidence of dengue are health promotion carried out in all sectors including the establishment of a jumantik exterminator in families and schools. The method of health education that is used in this community service is by using audiovisual media. Measurement of knowledge is done qualitatively by giving questions in a straightforward and structured manner. The results of the evaluation of knowledge found that there was an increase in knowledge before after being given health education with indicators that the majority of students could mention preventive measures that could be taken for DHF.

Abstract

Education for early childhood is very important, because at that time the formation of mental and character formation is started during childhood or at the age of 0-5 years before entering school at the first level in elementary school. The parenting class program is one of the programs in strengthening family and community life, especially early childhood development, parenting methods and communication patterns run by most people. The percentage of attendance at early age education program or PAUD still reaches 70%, this is why it is necessary to increase motivation for parents to invite their children for joining the program. We used the lecture method to be able to support the early education program in the class. The activity received a positive response from the participants and the teachers in PAUD, where the participants enthusiastically participated in the activity, and the parents realized how important early childhood education was and understood the stages of brain development in human. The conclusion of this activity is that it is necessary to provide added value in the process of approach to parents of toddlers to be enthusiastic in inviting their children for education activities.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by high blood sugar levels and metabolic disorders in general, which on its way if not controlled properly will cause various complications both acute and chronic. The new IDF consensus advocates early intervention for all people at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, and also focuses on the population health approach. Increasing the knowledge and skills of society, especially those in productive age, is very important in supporting the success of efforts to improve the quality of health. The purposes of this Community Service are to: (1) Increase public knowledge about Diabetes Mellitus; (2) Increase public knowledge about the management of non-pharmacological diabetes mellitus or lifestyle changes, and the use of rational diabetes mellitus drugs; (3) Increase knowledge of people's diet to reduce the risk of being affected / prevent and treat Diabetes Mellitus. The community service activity was conducted by giving lectures, and discussions about diabetes mellitus. The activity increased public awareness to maintain health through the application of a healthy lifestyle; and the curiosity, enthusiasm and active participation. In conclusion, people began to understand about Diabetes Mellitus, its causes, and its non-pharmacological management through lifestyle changes.

Abstract

Women are required to be able to resist their vulnerability in an effort to voice the rights to reproductive protection that are protected by law. Basically, women's vulnerability is not only due to their biological factors, but also socially and culturally powerless to voice their sexual interests / rights for their safety, comfort and health. Economic, parenting and the environment factors can influence condition women's vulnerability. The phenomena that is often seen in PP Jamilurrohman is that many young women are very intense with their female friends. At first glance this is natural, but what needs to be worried is that unhealthy intimacy of same-sex adolescents will lead to intercourse/same-sex sex. Prevention of the incidence of same-sex sex in Islamic boarding schools needs to be sought by providing healthy life skills, especially about reproduction, which is done early so that adolescents are not carried away by the current deviated development. Providing health education about the rights of adolescents to reproduction will bring up the feminine side of a woman so that she will establish herself as a woman whose reproductive organs are inherent as her nature. The community involved in the education was all teenagers in the Jamilurrohman Putri Islamic Boarding School. Lecture followed by a focus group discussion was used as the methods. The results of community service activities show that young people were very enthusiastic in participating in activities and begin to understand women's reproductive health rights.

Abstract

Gadget addiction and temper are problems that often occur in children now. The results of the preliminary study at the Paud Bunayya Islamic Center in Bin Baz ICBB found that the majority of children of early childhood education have a dependence on gadget and not a few who are temper due to this dependence. Therefore, the right method of prevention of this problems is needed. This community service activity aims to provide education on prevention of gadget addiction and temper in children through the consistency of parenting. The methods used include screening gadget addiction and temper problems, giving education, and evaluating. The results of the activity show inconsistencies in parenting pattern resulting in gadget addiction and temper. Through consistency of parenting, gadget addiction and temper can be prevented and overcome.

Abstract

The period of elementary school children is one of the times when playing is one of their daily activities. The hand is the area most that is often in contact with objects around when playing, where this allows for germs to stick and enter the body through food so that it can cause disease. Purwandari et al (2015) mention hand-washing behavior related to diarrhea (Purwandari, 2015). The results of the preliminary study indicates that the first grade students of SU of Islamic Center Binbaz who already know about the correct hand washing procedures are less than 10%. In connection with these results, community service activities related to clean and healthy living behavior were focused on training of the correct hand washing procedures, with stages of providing counseling about clean and correct living behavior, socializing on how to do 6 steps hand washing according to WHO and demonstrating proper hand washing by students. The service activities increased the level of students' knowledge of how to wash their hands properly became 80%.

Abstract

Binbaz female Islamic boarding school is classified into one particular group in community nursing, because it has homogeneous population characteristics and the same age limit in a particular area. The purpose of implementing this integrated counseling program is to: improve students' knowledge about health related to clean and healthy lifestyles, improve the health status of the students with the hope to prevent diseases and not to recur with better lifestyle and behavioral changes. Method of implementing activities by conducting: (1) assessing health problems faced by the students, (2) Planning community service activities and (3) giving extension education activities for health education in stages and continuously for 1 semester. This activity is expected to improve the health status of Binbaz female islamic boarding school students

Abstract

The Bin Baz Islamic Center or ICBB Yogyakarta is an educational institution that manages education for elementary, middle and high school levels, while also managing early childhood education (PAUD) or Playgroup (KB). Health knowledge, especially good drug management, is not yet owned by PAUD Bunnaya ICBB students’ parents. GEMA CERMAT which stands for the movement of intelligent people using drugs is a flagship program from the Ministry of Health since 2015. The aim of the program is to increase public understanding and awareness of the importance of using drugs correctly, increasing community independence in choosing, obtaining, using, storing and destroying drugs appropriately and correctly (Ind=DAGUSIBU), as well as increasing drug use rationally. Community service is intended to provide good knowledge and management methods for the parents of students in PAUD Bunnaya ICBB. The approaches for the activities were through lecture methods and directed discussion forums. Technical implementation is conducted at one time, namely on August 15, 2018. The activities increased knowledge of the participants in managing drugs or medicines at home. In the process of activities, the participants were very active in the discussion and question and answer process.
